17 Day Diet

shots or drops? it's a matter of preference ;) I take the drops and they work just fine :)

tcarr5 can you send me amessage with where you purchase your HCG so I can look into it as well.

Thanks

I got the 17 day diet book at the library today and have been reading it. It's fascinating! I'm learning a lot and though I don't have a lot of weight to lose, I think that it will help me in learning to eat healthier, which is good. That in combination with the exercising that I have been doing will help me lose the last of my baby weight hopefully!! :goodvibes

And is it just me or does this HCG thing sound sketchy? Drops? Shots? yikes! :rotfl: I'll just eat my chicken and veggies thanks

To everyone that has lost weight. Congratulations! :goodvibes

I've never heard of HCG. I have about 80 lbs min. I'd like to lose. I did a protein sparing modified fast via a doctor and the pounds melted off but it was a very difficult diet and they came back on.. and then some.

Is HCG an appetite suppressant? Does it also come with a diet to follow? Are they very expensive?

Is the HCG part of the 17 Day - or something different that got added to this thread? I have the 17 Day Diet book - and I plan to start after a trip to the grocery store... does anyone have any sample eating plans to share? I'm still unsure as to what constitutes a "probiotic"... would love to get some tips - especially what I need at the store to get me through!

No HCG in the 17 Day Diet. :confused3

As for probiotics, I eat yogurt to get that. I haven't really looked into the other items listed in the book.

I would stock up on veggies and fruit and lots of chicken. I love canned salmon so I have that in the fridge. I also eat eggs and like omelets with veggies. It all depends on what you enjoy. You might buy yogurt too. Do you like Greek yogurt? It's pricey but so healthy. I eat one Chobani every day.

I'm in the second phase right now and I enjoyed having a small potato the other day. I bought some rice and can't wait for that. :lovestruc

Day 12 and 7 pounds down. I haven't lost much this week, but I think it was because I wasn't eating enough. I added it up and it came to about 900 calories a day. I am trying to eat a little more but with the water and tea I am not as hungry. I am sticking with it because I FEEL so much better. I must have a carb sensitivity or something because I can't believe how much better my stomach is without them. Congrats to everyone that has lost a few pounds! :thumbsup2

The HCG is a different plan from the 17 day diet. As for the probiotic foods, I eat one yogurt and one cottage cheese each day. A sample memu for me would be either eggs or a cottage cheese and fruit for breakfast. Lunch is some sort of a lean meat and veggies (today I tried the turkey taco salad recipe from the book). I make the same food for the family at dinner, but add in a starch for them or some other potato, rice, bread item. In between meals I rely on my veggie soup to get me through. I always have a pot of soup in the frig. I alternate between a cabbage soup and a "creamy" califlower one. That has been my lifesaver. I have found that those little cans of chicken (looks like the tuna cans) have been very helpful for a quick lunch. Good luck!

would like that creamy cauliflower soup recipe.
just went shopping the big sales, chicken breasts, fish, 85% lean ground chuck, cauliflower, two types of lettuce, mushrooms, cabbage, carrots, brocolli, fruit, several yogurts, two tubs of cottage cheese, and eggs.

Ruby Tuesday, try their spaghetti squash and you can have marinara on it, sliced tomatoes with balsamc vinagrette, and i order the trout almondine, i always bring half home.

No real measurements here and you can add/delete most anything:
one box of chicken broth
1 whole cauliflower
1-3 leeks chopped up (I wouldn't delete these)
1-2 carrots chopped
1 med chopped onion
2-3 celery chopped
little salt and pepper

Cook until veggies are semi-soft. I put half the mixture and liquid in the blender to give it that "creamy" texture and then stir in the rest so that it has chunky bits as well. It really is filling and very tasty.

Thank you! I'm off to the store shortly and plan to get started tomorrow! Really can't wait to see what happens! :goodvibes

This sounds good! I'm a vegetarian, so I'll just have to substitute vegetable broth, and am good to go! I love vegetable recipes.
