160 extra Disney Rewards Points by asking...

Thanks for the link! I just submitted one for DH. Then I tried to do one for me, but it keeps saying "error". Guess I'll wait a bit.

It says to wait 15-30 days for your acceptance or denial. Is this about right? Our trip starts 5/28, so not sure if we will receive the card in time, make a purchase and then receive the DRD in time for our trip??:headache:
Anyone who has this card--is it do-able?

When I emailed them about requesting the $200 deal rather than $100 GC, they immediately credited my account with it and could see it on my dream dollars rewards balance online within 24 hours. I have other chase accounts and they link them so I was able to see the online acct before I recieved the card. I used the card immediately after getting it and within 2 weeks I got my $100 GC as well in the mail, and $100 dreamdollars in my acct to redeem when I get to Disney. Over the email they told me it would take 6-8 weeks to get that GC but apparently, in my case, only 2.
 
I emailed Chase about only being offered the 100$ giftcard. Got the standard, this message is being forwarded to the proper department. Hopin to get that extra 100 bucks for shopping at Disney!

I got the $40 statement credit offer and signed up using that ... I emailed about others getting the $100 gift card and they emailed back and credited me 100 disney reward points! Thanks for the head up to at least ask!

cool beans Kellie :banana: will come in quite useful for you in about a month :) I was so excited when I emailed and they gave the extra last year, Chase has been great to work with we love them :)
 
For those who called and received the extra $100, $200 dollars, etc. did you open your account within 90 of calling them?

I sent them a message via the message center on the Chase website. When you're logged into your account, I think it's on the left-hand side.

But, I just messaged them again today, because the deal I got with signing up for the Platinum Southwest card was 30,000 points and yesterday I got a thing in the mail for my husband to sign up with a Southwest visa (regular one) for 50,000 points. I messaged them and told them I wasn't happy that I have to pay an additional $30 annual fee (when I am obviously qualified for the platinum) and for 20,000 less points. I hope they make it right like they did for the Disney CC.

I got a $150 bonus offer in the mail that expired last October. My husband doesn't like me to apply for credit unless it's a really good offer and at the time we weren't sure we were going on the Disney trip that we now have planned for Nov. I just called but they said they have no record of that offer under my name anymore (I guess since it's expired.) Do you think there's any chance that they would still give it to me and if so which dept should I contact? Seems like email is the way to go. Most other posts seem to have success getting the extra credits but only if you're already a cardholder. I don't think my husband will let me apply unless it's at least $100 offer. Any advice is appreciated...

They gave me the additional 20,000 points, so our next couple Disney trips are airfare-free!

It worked! I now have a $100 Statement credit on my account ... " $100.00 New Cardmember -$100.00" as well as 100 Disney Dollars. "Disney Dream Reward Dollars® Available ... 100". A total $200 enrollment bonus, just for asking. Thanks trishispkh for posting your response. In case anyone wants to use my response to cite precedent, here it is:

I think it's a great idea to write to Chase. I just did and wish I thought of it sooner. We were given a $40 statement credit. There's a huge difference between $40 and $200. People wouldn't be so upset if the numbers were a lot closer. We are long time Chase customers (mortgage, cc, car loans past & present) I didn't specifically ask for the difference but told them I was disappointed that this is how they treat their their loyal, long term customers.

I guess I'll just have to wait & see what they say.
 
ok mine is very frusterating :

on 6/28 I emailed asking if I could recieve the $200 gift card or 200 reward point added to my account.

They replied immediately on 6/29 and said Yes, that my account did qualify for the points and that since my trip is coming up soon she would add the point to my account and then gave instructions for how to obtain the redemption card (I already knew, but glad glad they included instruction as if I've never done it. )

I replied the same day and said thank you, I appreicate it and when should I be recieving the points to my account ? on this billing cycle ? the next cycle, etc ?

I got an auto-responce saying my reponse was being forwarded to the correct place. ( ok, fine )

The same rep replied on 6-30 and says this :

I understand your inquiry regarding the gift card for the
enrollment promotion. The $200.00 Disney Gift card will
be mailed to the address listed on the account. It is a
separate gift card and not Disney Dream Rewards Dollars,
therefore will not be posted to the statement

This is exactly why I did the messages, so I can have in writting what they said, that way there is no confusion over who said what and when, it's in black and white.

I called Chase, they have no clue what I'm talking about ! She says she can see the notes in the system saying we were eligiable for the $200 either in gift card or point. But says she never see's if they were ever sent out.

I say in a very simple way, well if they weren't sent, when are you sending them ? I said ya know I've waited the 4-6 weeks and they haven't arrived. She says again yes, she can see where they are noted to be sent, but can't tell if they were ever sent . hhuuhhhhh ? you can't tell if you ever sent them ? so what, I could call 100x times and request them and you own system wouldn't know better ?

I go round and round with the agent, there is no resolve, I asked her like 4-5x why can't she just reprocess it and add the point to my account today ? She says she can't. That she dosen't see what code to use or what-ever to add them to my account. That she can't find any info on it w/i their own system of how to add them . By this point I've been on the phone 45-50 mins and have had the call escliated 3 times, they still have no clue what I'm talking about.

The end result is they don't know if they sent them and they can't add them because they can't figure out the code ?

There was no resolve, they said to call back in 2 weeks, because maybe it's 6-8 weeks processing rather then 4-6 weeks.

The tone in her voice indicated I have a fat chance at getting the points or g/c. She kept asking why did I think I qualified ? I told her that is exactly why I wrote in asking if I qualified and could we get the points. Once they responded with "Yes, you qualify" they should follow through and do what they've said they are going to do.

I mean that's why I followed with a response asking the agent when the points would be added, they she replied with an opposite answer about sending a gift card. UUmmm, what would they have done if I just waited til I get to DTD and expected the points to be there ?

The last phone agent ended the conversation with letting me know, she noted the system that I called and she acknowledges that their system says we are eligiable and they should have been sent, but that she can't add them due to the code and she dosen't see how/why we would qualify .

Great, now the next agent to take my call if only going to read the last entry that says " doesn't qualify "

Thank gosh I called to follow up, DH would be pretty peeved to be standing at DTD on the phone for over and hour going back and forth only to be told we weren't getting them

I would ask to speak to a supervisor. Can't hurt.
