It might matter to some people that Sleep Inn is hardly a 3-star resort. Not saying it's a bad place, just don't expect it to be a three star resort. Think of it as a step up from Motel 6 and a step under Ramada and you'll be fine.

I used to feel the same as Golden Oldie about Sleep Inns. Recently, though, I got a recommendation from a friend who stayed at one. So on our Nov. '02 trip to NC we stayed at 2 different Sleep Inns and where pleasantly surprised. I now feel that there are two kinds of Sleep Inns-----the old ones and the newly built ones. You can even identify the new ones from the road as they have different signs (new has a blue background)from the older ones(black background). The new ones are clean and modern with all the amenities of, say, a Hampton Inn (which we have always liked). My advice: call and ask when the property was built.

When you say they have all the amenities as Hampton Inns do you mean a continental breakfast included?

I believe the cont. brkfst is included at ALL Hampton Inn's. With the Sleep Inns it is hit or miss, depending on the location. At some hotels (not Sleep Inn) we've been disappointed by what was advertised as "Continental Brkfast" turning out to be a box of store-bought doughnuts and coffee. So now I've found that if I call the location itself (not central reservations) and ask, they will give you details regarding what is on the breakfast bar. The 2 Sleep Inns we stayed at recently served very nice breakfasts. Hot/cold cereal, danish, fruit salad, assorted fruits, bagels, english muffins, assorted breads for toasting and, the best...."make your own waffles". They have the batter already made and the griddle hot. Provided are instructions on how much to use and how long to leave on griddle. Yum! With a family of 6, a breakfast like this each morning is a big savings!:Pinkbounc :bounce:

That's the best continental breakfast I ever heard of.
Hampton too has its own hit or miss variety. In W.Palm we had fruit salad and boiled eggs and the rest of the regulare fare, in W Springfield Mass Inn we had gormet coffee, eggs but no fruit salad. In many others we only had the standard juice and donuts and cereal.
I never knew until I got the Entertainment book, that many Hampton's give you an entertainment rate. In Palm Beach and W. Springfield I called the hotel for reservations and got half off the AARP discounted rate or 49.50 for a room we had been paying 119.75 for in the past. I think they made a mistake, since the discount should be off the rack rate, but since it was in the computer both places honored the rate with no trouble.

Hey...It's really a great hotel for the $$$$. I paid around $30/night with priceline over the 4th of July for one night (first night in Orlando). It was a short drive to our Disney resort, we had a continental breakfast...toast, juices, coffee, fruits, donuts. We also had a fridge, microwave, safe, blowdryer, tv in our room. The pool was okay. No theme but clean. The shower was a stand up only (we had a corner room) but it was plenty big enough for two..(I was on my honeymoon =)
So if you go in expecting a disney resort you'll be disappointed, but if you are looking for a clean room, hot shower, and relative closeness to the parks you can't beat it for the $$$$. Ren

This offer is ony good thru February 28.

They also have the Renaissance Worldgate for $39 thru Feb. 28

I'll be watching this website for future dates.

Thanks

I booked a room for 7 nights using the info.
listed above. I entered everything, I even
have a reservation number. But, there is
no where to confirm. When you call the
1-800 number, of course, it's automated and
it says for hotels "to see the website".
I then called Sleep Inn directly and they had
no record of it. The guy there said they
usually did not get that info. until one week
prior to arrival. Is that true? I just made it yesterday,
but I'm anxious to know that it went through.

How can I confirm this???

Thanks,
Lori
