I am so excited that our trip is only 16 days away, but I'm sad at the same time that its going to be such a short one. :sad1: We're only there for 2 days and 3 nights and its going to be so hard to leave. Our previous trips have been 7 and 10 days. This was a last minute budget trip thanks to free dining and it will probably be May or October next year before we get back. I hope once I get there that I'll enjoy the moment and won't be thinking the whole time about when we have to leave!:sad2:

Any other short-trippers out there having this problem?

My sister and I are going at the end of September for the Everest Challenge. We are taking a flight out of New Orleans on Friday night and returning on Sunday night. We've never taken such a short trip before. To top that, we'll be spending all day Saturday in Animal Kingdom (the Everest Challenge provides a full day in that park and the race starts at 7pm that same night). So the only real "touring" we'll have is on Sunday. Thankfully, I had one day left on a park hopper from a previous trip so I plan on hopping to all of my favorite rides in MK, DHS, and Epcot on Sunday.

I'm actually very excited about it. I'm just happy I get to go this year at all. My dd went with her school earlier this summer as part of the YES program so we both were able to get a quick Disney fix this year!

This is how I'm trying to look at it - just a quick fix until our trip next year. Since our last trip in 2005, my son went for a school trip in 2007, spending one day at MGM, and DH and I went this past March for a convention and we spent half days in MK and Epcot. Poor DD hasn't been at all since then! I'll have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed the two half days DH and I spent in the spring. I hope I leave feeling the same way from this trip!:)

Look at it this way! ANY Disney is better than NO Disney!!!! :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: Enjoy the few days you can get!! Have a great time!!!

I remember a few years back we booked a trip for only 4 days! As much as I was happy we were going -it seemed to be so short. We were able to add on 2 more days- not sure about getting additional days off- but we ended up with 2 reservations, doing a 2nd check-in & possibly having to change rooms. The poly was very good about it-able to stay in the same room but we had to change cards. I have to agree w/ other post-a short trip is better than no trip to Disney!!! Don't think about your time there-just enjoy every HOT minute! :rotfl2: (We will):goodvibes

A friend of mine asked me to set up a trip for her for April of 2009. She hadn't been to Disney World in 8 years. When she talked to her husband about the April trip he told her that they really couldn't afford to go right now. I just think God I'm not in that situation.
