I have a got a few minutes so I am going to enter my first dining review. Writing these always makes me feel like I am still in Disney. It also makes me hungry.
We went to Olivias on 06/19 for dinner. It was 2 adults and 5 children. 4 of us were on the deluxe and the rest cash. Our ADR wasx for 5:45, but after driving for 22 hours we were hungry and decided we would check in a little early and were seated right away.
Our server was great. He was very attentive. The restaurant was not busy so they might have made the service a little better. It was cute inside, nothing special, but comfortable.
My choices were the crab cakes for an appetizer and the mahi mahi for entree and I took cheesecake to go. The crab cakes were great. I wanted more. I probably could have eaten a whole plate of them. I found myself scraping the sauce off my plate which got weird so had to stop. My mahi mahi was also very good. DH said it smelled like fish he hates seafood. I told him it is fish and that he had to deal since I never do seafood at home. The cheesecake was standard. Good.
DH got a ceasar salad for an app. You will notice DH is a little boring with food choices. I mean he is more conservative. You will see what I mean. He said it was good. The restaurant special was meatloaf. he ordered that. It was just ok. I tasted. I always have to taste just to make sure it is safe. (that is what I tell my kids, they do not believe me anymore) He said it was ok, but took it back to the room to eat later.
The kids ordered off the kids menu. Grill Chicken, meaty pasta, cheeseburger all standard fare for disney kids meals. They had ice cream sundaes for dessert. We made a dessert rule on this trip fruit for lunch ice cream at dinner. This obviously only applied to the kids.
I really enjoyed Olivias. I would definitley go there again. I would probably not go out of my way to eat there, but if staying at the resort most definitley.
