We'll be there next weekend and I can't wait. Just got a few questions...

1. When will the entertainment programme be updated for Saturday? Is it likely to be any didifferent to the current one that runs until friday?

2. WHich park would you suggest to in first? We're only at Disney for one day so know we qonto do everything but would like to do the bigger rides I.e RR, Tower of terror, space mountain, buzz, big thunder and the parades...Which is busier in theafternoons?

3. ALso is the cafe mickey breakfast buffet? What food is it, I can't find a menu & can't decide if its worth it forSunday.

THAnks!!

Id head straight to the main park but we spend most of our holiday in here and only go to studios if we have time. We always found the main park busier than the studios

Cafe Mickey is a breakfast buffet yes and includes hot breakfast items such as sausages, scrambled egg, bacon, also smoked salmon aswell as the ususal ham, cheese, rolls etc

Fantastic thanks, i was thinking about the following plan...

Disneyland Park for opening ceremony (do they have one of these at DLP?)
Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear, Autopia
Then head to Big Thunder & Indiana Jones

Go to Studios park (hopefully be around 1.30pm so hoping rides might be abit quiter for Lunch...Tower of Terror, Rocking Rollercoaster, Maybe Crush Coaster)

Back to Disneyland Park for Parade which i think is at 5.45pm (if it's the same as the current programme which is only dated until Friday).

Enjoy the park at night followed by a late meal at Planet Hollywood. All possible?

Disneyland Park for opening ceremony (do they have one of these at DLP?) - no, theres just a tannoy announcement that the park is open and the "ropes" drop. On a Saturday I'd try to get there around 9.30am for ropedrop at 10am.

you might not get all those rides in before the parade on Saturday (I experienced my first Saturday at DLP on our last trip and could not believe how much busier it is on a weekend :scared1:) but you should certainly get more rides in the main park after around 7pm until the park closes.

certainly possible - use fastpass as much as you can on a Saturday.

We have just returned on Saturday.

The parade in Disneyland Park is on at 5.00, with the schedule we picked up at the parks.

Also remember the parade is now down to 5 floats and the length has been cut in half, so it goes up and down main street twice now.

oh right, ok. So how long does it last for now?Are we likely to want to wait and watch it go back down main street?Where is the best place to watch it now?

DLPdaft thanks for those responses! May just do space mountain and buz etc before heading to studios park and do big thunder in the evening when its quieter.

Does anyone know if the shows will be on at the same time as last weekend as the programme on there is only until friday. I Know we definately want to see motor stunt show, whats the mickey mouse show like...has that now gone in place of the lion king show?

THanks everyone as always for your help, I will repay in photos upon return.

moteurs stunt show is a permanent several-times-daily show in the Studios, and Mickeys Winter Wonderland show is on several times a day until March.

No sorry, not the winter wonderland show it says animation...its in discoveryland, is it just footage of mickey mouse cartoons?

thats classic cartoons in the Videopolis theatre - this has replaced the Lion King show altogether :). Nice for a chill-out, but its not a show, just cartoons on a cinema screen.

OH ok cool, might be a good spot for the picnic if its raining.

THanks again

I would watch it twice, ie, grab a spot and then stay there as it goes down Main Street, round the stage and back up again.

Where you stand I find everyone has there own favourite place, we like standing opposite the photo shop, and then it is also easy to make a quick getaway when it has passed again, but I know everyone is different. It was quite busy when we watched it and they started roping it off 45mins before it started, but I presume this is also because there is less places to stand.

It didn't do any stops, no one getting off to dance, but this may still change, as it might be weather dependent, it was cold and wet most days when we were there

The Winter wonderland show should be on when you are there as the schedule we have 07/-14/01 says Mickeys WW show Wed-Sun 11.00, 12.00, 13.00, 15.30, 16.30

Well worth seeing.

Excellent, thanks.

I don't think we'll be watching Stars n Cars this time so hopefully we'll have more time to get the rides in Studio done and head back to Disneyland Park.

Still can't make my mind up whether to get to studios for opening and aim to do all the rides (TOT, RR, Crush Coaster, have a look around the new Toy Story bit which we haven't seen and see the Motor stunt show) and then spend the rest of the day until 9pm in the other park...Or are we best to get some of the main/busier rides in the Disneyland Park done first thing and then go to the Studios just after lunch for the afternoon before seeing the 5pm parade in Disneyland park??....hmmm tricky.

Does anyone know how easy it is to get around the Studios park once the Stars n Cars is on, i.e will be able to get from Crush to RR whilst it's on or is the crowd in the way??

you'll be fine for access between Crush and Tot while the Cars n Stars parade is on - they are both on the same ride of the parade route (no cutting across required).

Just to update, the Programme is available for 15th-21st Jan on the Disney website.
