What an AWESOME deal!!!!

We are returning on Airtran from our November trip. Didn't get quite an awesome a deal as yours but considering that all the airlines were quoting a rate of $399:scared1: (thats ONE WAY!!!!) between Orlando and Newark, we decided $119 per person one way with a quickie 45 minute layover in Atlanta, Airtran was the way to go. I can't complain....we did manage to get $49 one way from Newark to Orlando through Jetblue and the kids are too excited that they get to watch TV on the flight down. I shall be studying for my Western Civilization class (working on my Masters in Education).

Is the $5 assigned seat something new? Or maybe only in certain markets? I;'ve flown them to Atlanta and Buffalo for years and always had assigned seats with no extra charge. Weird.

To be fair, what I might like most about Air Tran is their marketing (make sure you get whatever they're offering as a snack on your flight and read the package carefully - very clever stuff!). But the planes have always been new and staff always freindly and helpful. The downside? I'm 5' tall and feel pretty cramped. :crowded: Then again, I was even more cramped on a transatlantic Delta flight, so maybe AT's pretty standard.

Yo Michelle! So glad I found your TR! I just love your family and love reading about all your exploits. Those DIS crafts are SO COOL. I feel so inadequate with my sorry Home Depot LGMH. :rotfl2: Too bad you'll be there two weeks before we will. Dangit! I'm excited to hear about Food and Wine - it was going on while I was there last year but it was just too dern crowded to deal with, and I wanted to ride Test Track and Mission: Space again! :)

Hope all is well! I can't believe you'll be there so soon!!!!!!

Michelle the blue beads are really pretty and Brenna is such a sweetie :goodvibes

What a wonderfully talented and crafty family you have. Those wine charms are amazing. I love Brenna's friendship bracelets. I am so happy to have found your reports.

Can't wait to hear more popcorn::.

The crafts are really cool:cool1:michelle.
I'll say it again, what a talented family!!:thumbsup2
Two wks will be here in a flash  ....and
the excitment builds!!:cheer2:

Great deal on the flights! When I went in July to visit some friends that just moved down there I booked it last minute 1 month ahead (with my ding fare). I got the $49 each way deal. My friend decided she wanted to go a week later and the same exact flight was $350+!! We knew that she wouldnt be able to get the $49 but $350, my gosh we werent expecting it to go up that much. Needless to say she didnt end up coming.

Glad you got such a great deal! It's getting so close now . All your crafts came out wonderful! Tell Brenna those bracelets look awesome! Can't wait till the 5th to meet you! Have a good weekendv:banana:

That was one great deal for the airfare! I am still playing airline roulette as I write this...for our trip that is 3 weeks away! Being that we are going during a big MN holiday break time, the prices are out of this world an the only NS are NWA & SunCountry...can you believe SunCountry wants 450 to fly to MCO!:scared1:

The charms are all wonderful! That was a great idea to make a few for your drinking around the world.

I am still totally impressed that your dd made those friendship braclets..what a total sweetheart!

I'm here! Just have to start at the beginning, that's all! (I prefer not to skim.) Will post soon!

Kathy

OMG, I totally knew you'd fuzzy out a way to do PFTS!! :rotfl2: That's awesome and I know your kids will love it! :thumbsup2
