........................................ ............ ......

I guess you proved it doesn't hurt to ask for prayers! Congrats on your good news & I hope everything continues to go well for you.:goodvibes

C Ann, I'm thrilled at your good news to date, but I'm gonna keep praying. You just keep believing!

This is the first time I have read this thread. It is so good to know there are people who still believe in prayer. You will definately be in my prayers in the coming days. Cancer is a scarey word that none of us want to hear but you seem to have taken it all in stride and trying to get to the bottom of your problems. Keep up the faith!

Thank you SOOOO much !!!

Someone who finally "gets" it - and is in the medical field to boot.. It just drives me crazy when people think they live inside my head or walk around in my body, when they really don't have a clue..

I was so happy earlier today with the results I had received so far - and eager to share them so others could share in my happiness and help me maintain my positive outlook for what is yet to come - and instead it was stomped on - smashed in a million pieces.. That hurt - and honestly, I think that is the first time I have ever had to say that here..:sad1:

All I want is to feel good again.. Is that too much to ask?? When does the crap end??? :sad1:

Thank you, Disney Doll - for doing a better job of explaining how things sometimes have to be handled - and for making me feel just a little better now.. You're a sweetheart.. (And yes - I have thought of PMing you during this time - just didn't know how receptive you would be.. Some people prefer to leave their "work" at "work..)

I never have a problem with PMs for any reason. I'm kind of an "old" nurse, so I never leave my work at work. Old habits die hard!!! Feel free.

Thanks! :) I'm going to PM you with a question right now that I would like to run by you before I go back to the doctor tomorrow..

C.Ann,

So glad to read your update!! You're still in my prayers and hope you're feeling better soon. :grouphug:

:cool1: Woohoo all right! Still have you in my thought's that you get your health issue's straightened out. You sound stubborn like my mom she is 70 and had a scare about 2 weeks ago with an atrial arythmia she did have a heart attack and long story short she is thankfully fine and beign treated out patient. But it made her open her eye's and realize it is time to get everything taken care of. I am very happy for you and will keep you in my prayer's.

C Ann.

I read some of the posts about other DISERS and their concern at how your doc handled the situation. I really think they care bc there are docs out there that should never use that approach with a patient but if they know how you are and they motivated you all the better.

I have two stories to share:

DB's GF recently had a bite mark (like a mosquito bite only bigger and more swollen) on her breast near her cleavage area. My mom saw it and said it looked like bug bite. GF goes to the docs (a guy she has grown up w/), he takes one look at and said it looks like cancer I am sending you to a breast surgereon. She was scared out of her mind, she went to the breas surgeron and he took one look at it and asked why she was here for a spider bite, lo and behold then sent things to be tested and yes it is a spider bite! He scared the pants off of her IMO uneccesarily.

DH's friend was not taking his blood pressure meds, doc walked in and found this out, picked up the phone book and toss it at him. He said if you are not going to help yourself and continue to live to see your daughter grow up then find another doc bc I dont want you as my patient. Well this was the wake up call the friend needed to know taking his meds was necessary.

So I do think it depends on the patient but many docs out there need a lesson in bedside manner too.

Prayers and Pixie Dust, as well as good thoughts!

:grouphug: :wizard:

I totally know how you feel w/ being miserable... my Drs had started mentioning the C word when one of them finally thought of Celiac's Disease... now that I'm gluten free, life rocks!

Hoping you get an answer soon :)

Glad to hear the MD trip was a good one.

So glad to hear your latest update, CAnn. You'll continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.

I haven't read any of the other DISer's posts, but I am sorry that you were hurt. As to your question "when does the crap end?", my friend and I were discussing this just last night. Sometimes it doesn't end. It just morphs into some other form. Gotta love life, right? ;)

Keep up your spirits!

Glad to hear that your news still continues to be good! Keep up the eating and high spirits. Good luck w/the colonoscopy. I had one two years ago when they thought that my appendix (which was infected, inflamed and about to rupture) might've been cancerous (it wasn't). I guess they can look at the end of the appendix via colonoscopy. The worst part of the whole thing is the prep before it. The good part of the colonoscopy is that it checked everything and that I don't have to have another one for 5 more years!!!

I was 40 when this happened and I prob. should've gotten a colonoscopy anyway since my dad's mom had colon cancer.

Anyway, thoughts and prayers are still w/you ... esp. when you're going through the colon prep part! Yuck!!!!!

I am glad things are looking so very positive.

That is wonderful news!!:cool1:

As far as your doc's methods, I have to agree that while most people think that she was not the most orthodox, it was what YOU needed and she knew that. That is what makes a "good" doctor.

Sorry if you were upset by some people not understanding that. Glad you are getting what you need from your health care provider :) That's what everyone deserves. too bad most never find that.

Very glad you got good news. Hope your life will settle down some and you can enjoy some peace. You certainly deserve to after all you have been through the past few years.

I am so glad everything is turning out well! :goodvibes I have always admired your courage and spirit. Hope all continues to go your way!!:thumbsup2

We have been praying for you every night. I'm sooo glad you're getting good news.Just one or two more test. You will continue to be in our prayers. God does listen. There were so many times that my father should have died but came back. A miracle really.Take care:cool1:

Keep giving us the good news C.Ann!!!!!!:thumbsup2

And keep sucking down that Boost. Mix it with some ice cream in a blender and make a shake! ;)

:grouphug:

Yea...it sounds like our C.Ann is bouncing back :thumbsup2 !! I am glad you found a dr you have confidence in and feel comfortable with to help get your health stabilized. Continued prayers for rest of your testing and in making those life style changes. No doubt we could all use a little of that! You've come a long way, keep up the good work!! :goodvibes
