155 teenage girls; 2-26 hour bus rides; & ABSOLUTELY NO INPUT Final Chapter - 6/25

Sprained ankles = plane ride home, 2 lost tickets in one night, and The Mount takes on Disney's Hollywood Studio!

DH woke me up 9am so I could shower and get ready for the day. He knows me perfectly after 17 years and I am not happy if I don’t have my ducks
smiley_duck.gif
in a row before we leave for the park. I got up immediately, drank the $3.00 cup of coffee DH brought from the Pseudo Starbucks in the hotel. By the way $3.00 coffee tastes the same as free coffee in the room?? This tip alone should be able to help fund next years trip! I showered, dressed, packed by 9:20, woke up DS, and called DD’s room. Now DS wakes up in a good mood (does anyone know if this can be bottled
Smiley_bottel.gif
for home use, is so I will pay you dearly), and he immediately without being asked showers and gets dressed. DD comes up to our room and showers and we all go to the “breakfast room together”. I need to say something here about our band director. As much as he may sound “mean” or “clueless” (which I believe he does on purpose) the man knows his stuff. All the girls are required to come down to the breakfast room every morning no exceptions. He wants to make sure that the girls are eating and that they are healthy. Now you may not believe me but he knows if the a girl does not come down. He talks to all of them and addresses them by name. As a parent I found this very comforting. So we get our “continental” breakfast and stash the majority of it in the refrigerator in our room. We are early risers and this will be tomorrow’s breakfast. We are ready to go by 10:15 so we head down to the bus early.

The busses are ALL ready to leave at 11am, see I told you … “Disney Miracle”. Where else can you go and have all 255 girls
angel.gif
dressed, fed, and ready on time? Morning announcements from the bus captain begin. Our bus captain is Nick and this is my second trip with him as captain and I have no complaints. First we are told that our bus is doing great but 2 other girls lost their tickets on the first night and their parents have been already billed (wow - they are quicker than a loan shark
smiley_sharkattack.gif
but I should have known we are a Catholic School and no bill is left unturned). You can see the girls on the bus squirming and making sure they have their tickets. It was quite funny but alas I was counting the tickets in my fanny pack! Okay you all can make fun of me now
f8b159da60ba96bea8d1b63c4044bd63e52.gif
. Take your time, catch your breath, now breath in and out... You can do it! Middle-aged mom, Capri pants, brand new white sneakers, and a fanny pack. I am the poster mom for a WDW fanatic. Nick continues by asking the girls to make sure they eat lunch and dinner. The roar of the girls is slowly rising and I know we are almost there. So I am trying to eavesdrop on what the girls are saying and I glance at Nick and notice that he really looks tired. So I ask him if he is okay? He proceeds to tell me he had night duty last night so he was up the whole night and he has been to the airport and back already today. To the airport and back?? So I had to ask if he was bringing in some of the girls who flew in. NOPE. One of the girls got off the bus yesterday when we arrived at the hotel and tripped over the sprinkler head. She was exactly 2 minutes into the trip. That was the end of her Disney Magic. The ankle was swollen and the one of the parents offered to stay with her last night while we were at the park and reservations for first flight out were booked. COST was not a factor. KaChing
money_eyes.gif
another bill sent out to the parents. Now I am really starting to wonder how the band director can afford to purchase the tickets and the plane rides home!! He must have one heck of a credit line. At least I know who to go to if I break the budget.

We arrive at Disney Hollywood Studios with tickets in hand. DH and I are advised that we would be spending the morning alone and the kids asked for cash for snacks. We would see them in time for our Prime Time ADR’s at 2:45pm. DH gives out the cash and I look up for the kids
Smileygoodbye.gif
but they are long gone. Now is probably a good time to tell you that I am a ground walker. Ever since my car accident, I walk with my head down. I am not exactly sure why and no matter how hard I try I can not break this habit. It is not a good habit to have. DH has adjusted and usually has one hand near me at all times. He looks like the perfect “Prince Charming” always at my side. I personally think he likes this persona but it really is for my protection. Oh by the way if you never noticed, in front of the lockers and before the kiosk where you pay for the key, is a bright yellow fire plug. It is not small but if you are anything like me Watch Out. I hit my leg on it not once but 4 times. Quite funny if you think about it but I still have the bruise on my leg to prove it!! All ground walkers should make sure their “Prince Charming”
frogprince.gif
is close by at all times while walking in Disney parks! They forgot to put this in the brochure!

HS is not as big as I remembered. Every time I looked there was a Mount girl in front of us, to the left of us or to the right of us. In every line and at every show. I saw my children more in those few hours than I could have ever imagined. DH and I had turned into walking ATM’s. We did not eat a thing but managed to purchase water, pop, and ice cream for many of the girls. I started to believe that an electrical device was slipped into the fanny pack. I looked for it but I never did find it. This is also when DH kicked into high gear. I told you earlier he likes a great line or practical joke. Here’s some background. We have a very open relationship with our DD and nothing is off limits. She is allowed to discuss anything with us and we will try to help. Most of the times we have no clue what she is talking about, but still we try to help. So we are very well aware of the fact that some of the girls in an all girl high school will question their personal life choices. DD has made it clear it doesn’t matter if the person you love is male or female! Her personal choice is male. So this opened a door for DH. He usually will quietly announce to DD all Hottie and or Bootie sightings. Well nothing in Disney is quiet. So every time we saw the girls, DH is announcing Bootie and Hottie sightings.
ev-hotornot.gif
At first her friends looked scared, but only for a moment. The rest of our vacation was marked with numerous sightings by both DH and the girls. Mr. K is forever immortalized on a few “face book” and “myspace pages” with quote of Hotties and Booties. It was during one of these encounters that DD gave her brother the boot as his presence was no longer needed. We took him to The Great Movie Ride and Muppets 3D and Star Wars before lunch/dinner.

We headed over for our ADR, met up with DD, and DS was immediately told that he would be dining with the “Rents” by his sister. For those of you without children, DH and I are the Rents as in parents. She came with hands out and I gave her money for her meal. Wait DH also gave her this money when we got off the bus? I think we were scammed by our own daughter! OH well if your going to be scammed at least it was by family! We were seated first and DD came and asked me to add 3 additional diners to their table. Now prior to the vacation I tried to explain ADR’s to the child. She makes First Honors all the time but can’t understand the rules of making reservations. I give her my evil eye, which by the way has been described by both children as the really weird looking tic! Gratefully the restaurant was very accommodating for a table that would consist of only 11 teenage girls. I pity their Cousin!!
IMG_0408.jpg

DH with Cousin Elizabeth

Cousin “Elizabeth” was our server. She was very nice and we had tons on fun with her. DH kept hiding things like the cutlery and dishes when she brought them out. Then he would call for her and ask for them again. We had her going for quite a bit as this was the end of her shift and she was very tired. Even DS was laughing! It was fun to turn the tables this time and have a laugh on our cousin. Now I am definitely NOT sure that the family next to us thought it was funny at all. They were from a country that spoke “French”. They kept glaring at us and I think they really thought we were serious! I have to admit, both DS and DD speak Spanish, DH can understand Polish and I can get by a bit from 4 years of German. But none of us speak French. We enjoy being able to understand conversations that people truly believe we do NOT understand. It is quite amusing. And for the record most of the time people are not talking about us even though we feel paranoid. But we have caught an occasional remark and have “thanked” that person in their native tongue. Now don’t forget I warned you that we were not a typical family. So I bribed my son quite a few times during that meal and he would go in and peak in on his sister. So we were done eating but the “girls” had just begun with their main course. So I summoned over Cousin Lou who was cleaning a table near ours and asked for a favor. We told him how the girls would be performing tomorrow at the Magic Kingdom and since everyone was family they should be reminded to come and see them. So Lou goes into the room and makes all the girls stand-up and announces to everyone that they will be performing tomorrow and not to be late as “everyone is family here” and you can hear all the other diners clapping.
smiley_embarassingbydaisychayn.gif

DS said all the girls were embarrassed and their faces were bright red. I almost thought my son was going to cry from laughing so hard. Now here is how NAÏVE your child can be.. DD believes that the restaurant knew who they were and that they planned on announcing their performance. She does not believe that I concocted the whole thing. Silly girl!

After lunch Mom’s magical pass was required for Rock’n’Roller Coaster and the Tower of Terror. You have to remember here that I have a neck injury so these are iffy rides for me. I had never even dared to do the Tower of Terror but I promised the kids. DS was scared of the Tower of Terror. He had his stomach in a knot. He knew that he couldn’t chicken out or his reputation with all the older girls would be compromised. Okay I have a complaint here! How come no one on the boards ever stated that your brains condense to the top of your head while riding on TOT?? One time was enough for me and DD. DS and hubby said they would go on next time alone. I bought the Rollercoaster pics for the girls as souvenirs but not the TOT. Those can RIP!
100_2128.jpg

This is my only pic of TOT and don’t expect anymore from me! :scared1:  :scared1: :confused3 ;)

I went from the TOT to the locker (once again hitting my leg on the fire plug) and retrieved the backpack with the jeans. Forgot to mention that the “cold spell has not yet broken.“ We are all still freezing by 6pm. DS gave his pants to one of the girls who was especially cold since his shorts were long. Not sure if he was being a gentleman or if he secretly:rolleyes1 wanted to tell his friend that one of the High School girls got into his pants:rolleyes:, and literally! :rotfl: DS then became part of our group for the rest of the evening and even though I made DD promise to get a snack for dinner (which she did), DH and I went without! Couldn’t even take my own advice:confused3 . So we head over to Fantasmic and “we” decide "I" could use a large cup of coffee
coffeesmiley.gif
and something sweet. (see how that works ladies, sorry gents) NOT happening! The line for coffee well exceeded any wait time for attractions during the day. We get my seats and call DD and ask her where she is sitting… She not sitting she si in the park eating French fries.. I have a minor panic attack and tell her the seats are full and she is going to miss the show.. DD tells me, "yes me", to chill! Her friends are saving her a seat! I yell once again into a small cell phone that it was impossible as everyone is already being asked to move over… “Chill
chillpillsmile.gif
Mom”. So I hang up the phone and tell DH "she will not be seeing the show"! I get a call 15 minutes later from DD and she want to talk to her brother. He looks at me and says goodbye cause he is sitting with the "girls" Well I guess being young and pretty has worked again. She is sitting in the front row center and DS waves when he gets down there!! So much for Mom always being right! I have lost all my Disney Credibility to youth and good looks. Please say it isn’t so!!

A man who knows his job--awesome:thumbsup2

but I should have known we are a Catholic School and no bill is left unturned).

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: DS is starting PreK in Catholic School in September and I have already had 2 bills from them:lmao:

NOPE. One of the girls got off the bus yesterday when we arrived at the hotel and tripped over the sprinkler head. She was exactly 2 minutes into the trip. That was the end of her Disney Magic.

She must have been disappointed:sad2:

I hit my leg on it not once but 4 times. Quite funny if you think about it but I still have the bruise on my leg to prove it!!

OMG, this is my DH who hits his head on something no less than 4 times a day.:lmao:

DH and I had turned into walking ATM’s.

I started to believe that an electrical device was slipped into the fanny pack. I looked for it but I never did find it.

That because it was programmed to self distruct once all cash was gone:rotfl2:

Loved your update. Where did you get all the cool smilies

Smilies are compliments of photobucket. I just pick an action or saying and search for it with the word smiley or smilie... example for my cup of coffee I search both coffee smilie and coffee smiley, picked the one I liked and added it to my collection. Copy and paste into text here on the dis boards... Oh shoot, now I don't have any secrets...:lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2:

I started reading your TR, beacause a trip with 255 teenage girls was a little overwhelming to me and I wanted to see how you handled it. Was I surprised to find out you're in my neck of the woods!!! I am in West Seneca and happened to be in Myrtle Beach that same week and there was a cold spell there as well, while all we left behind here in Buffalo were enjoying 80 degree weather!!! :scared1: Just not fair!!!

Can't wait to read more!!!

Okay I have to make my confession now, I have changed my trip report to reflect 155 girls which is the correct amount. The school has posted the girls on their own web site and I don't have to worry about "posting school info without consent now". Sorry for the confusion, but didn't want to get anyone in trouble!! Like Myself:lmao: :lmao:. Hope you all still enjoy the report, Diane!

i really like your trip report your family sounds alot like mine except noneof them have ever been in a car accident sorry bout that im glad you are okay

I see your title has changed. That's still alot of girls to keep track of. I can't wait to see what else happens.

I just found your trip report and I am loving it. You seem to have a great sense of humor and outlook on life. I can't wait to read about them performing at MK. I always cry when I see the band before the parade :confused3 It's one of those times when the kids automatically say "give mom a tissue" :lmao:
Eager to read more - thanks for sharing your trip.

You TR is awesome. I could never image traveling with that many students. I have to tell you they seem like the most respectful students. So glad you had a great time. I also travel with students, and the idea of a snack room at night is awesome. I think that I will be using it next spring when I take my seniors on their senior trip. Thanks for the idea.

Glad to hear that is why you changed it. For a moment I wondered if you misplaced 100 girls... :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

I am really sorry about the confusion, that would have been terrible if we lost 100 girls.. I am happy to report even before the end of my TR not one girl was harmed (except for the sprained ankle) or lost during the duration of our trip!:)

All of our girls were great! The drama stayed among them and never transferred higher up the chain. There was only a few incidents and none of them were even comparable to a normal day at home. Actually the one evening the girls in one of the room thought it would be "funny" to lock out their friends.. Well the girls went down to the desk to get new cards for the room.. Well the band director had instructed the hotel to notify them if new cards needed to be issued... SO up the ladder the hotel clerk called the numbers, passed the first person, through the next, and even passed the band director... All the way to the school's Principal (who by the way was traveling with her Granddaughter). Now the principal didn't find the humor in the situation but as a Mom and girl I did.. :cool1: Guess that is why I am not the principal! Bottom line that was the worst of the worse. Nothing really bad. Seniors had privledges and each night they had an extra hour and no physical room check. Still no problems...

Now if you want my total honest opinion, the girls were good because....

There were no cute boys in the hotel!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Seriously don't scare me like that! 100 girls just went *poof*:scared1:

So glad they weren't really lost!

I am really sorry and I will make it up for all of you. I am making a slide show for you all with the highlights of their performance... I am waiting on my photopass pics so it will probably be in my last installment... Once again, very :flower3:sorry:flower3: for the poof of 100 girls.

The Most Magical Day since Childbirth! DD Performs at the Magic Kindgom!

There are probably very few events in my life that I would define as Life Changing. I can count them on one hand and an additional toe or two.

1. The marriage to my husband Steve who happens to be my best friend. We are what some others never achieve 100% true soul mates. Unconditional Love
2. The birth of my children. With my first, DD who will be dancing today, it was a very scary roller coaster ride. She was my first and to say I was a wreck is an understatement. Went through natural child birth with very little meds.. BUT crashed after she was born… My vitals were all over the place and I say I saw every single doctor, nurse, and intern in the hospital (yes we got a bill from each and everyone of them). Finally after 6 hours (please note I have not seen any of my family in this time and not even my daughter) an older doctor came in and “yelled” at all the staff. He told them I was just nervous, give me tranquilizer and get my daughter and family to me pronto. Wisdom is a Life Changing event! My daughters name is Angela, an angel for her father, but don’t tell anyone I still believe today that she is a gift from God for ME. Wisdom
3. The birth of my son a few years later, another little miracle that was not suppose to happen. By the way DS is named for an Irish - Handsome warrior). If you are going to compete with an Angel in the house you better be pretty great yourself thus “A Handsome Warrior”! Acceptance
4. The death of my father. Even though I am a person who excepts death with no questions asked, I am grateful that my Dad is no longer suffering and that he is my personal connection to Heaven. I ask for his guidance daily and I believe he makes me a better person. Faith
5. My accident which led to the discovery of a life changing Health situation. Who would ever think that 2 boys drag racing down a main road at 6am on a Sunday morning thinking they were “oh so cool” could have devastated and saved my life at the same time. (just a little extra here, its important. Disney is a place where I feel normal again since the accident and diagnosis, all my cares and worries disappear. Not sure if this happens to everyone but it definitely has a great impact on me) This is definitely a life changing event. Forgiveness
6. Both my children have adventure in their blood. They play sports, both enjoy school, and both have experienced the Arts first hand. he is my extra special athlete and she has accelerated in arts. DS is my #1 in tennis and soccer with the trophies to show for it. DD has danced with the Moscow Ballet and also in the Macy’s Day Parade. True Joy
7. My daughter performing today! Perfection and Contentment

Okay onto Trip Report with no further commentaries or delays…

So Steve and I wake about the same time 7am. He goes down to get us coffee (okay I know I already complained but it is hot and he likes his morning walk). I get into the shower and am changed by the time he is back. He showers and we are drinking coffee, having breakfast and watching the view outside. We both are quiet because we know what today is. We have butterflies flying
butterfly-2.gif
for our daughter. But they are great big beautiful
butterflysmilie.jpg
butterflies! Kevin wakes up at 8:00am and showers and eats. Angela knocks on the door at 9am. See I told you this late morning thing is not for us. For gosh sakes we are on vacation, we could be at the park right now. She eats breakfast and I fix her hair. I ask her if she is nervous and I get the usual, “No why are you??” Heck yes I am nervous, but I don’t let her know. We go to her room and I clean a bit for her and we meet the rest of our clan to pick out tomorrows breakfast. We are notified that the parents will be going to the park at 12:30pm and that the girls will not arrive until 1:45pm. The girls get to go Backstage Disney. What a special treat, but Disney feels this treat should only be for 15 minutes prior to your performance and they may have made her sign a confidentiality clause. Not sure about backstage as she doesn’t speak about it at ALL.

So we get onto our bus and head over to the Magic Kingdom. Morning announcements are quick but we are told to be back at the bus immediately after the 9pm Wishes or no later than 9:45pm whichever comes first. I look at Steve who looks back at me and states “Let it go, DON’T say a word,
169.gif
I know that you know that you are right, but what is the sense of making everyone upset before the day even begins??“ I know 2 things, Wishes is at 10pm tonight and he is right
169.gif
. I shut my mouth. This is very hard for me
169.gif
. Can you tell
169.gif
?? Even when I type I ramble on. So I am squirming
208.gif
left and right in my seat saying nothing. I want to burst and he knows it. So we get off the bus and let DS pick out the transportation mode (monorail) and we are there very quickly. Its about 1pm and we walk down Main Street. I am imagining the excitement that Angela must be feeling. It is a beautiful day, sunny
sunny.gif
, not very warm but not cold. The girls will not overheat. This is a good thing. So while walking I see this very cute looking CM named Mike. Now Mike probably does NOT have kids because well he “looks like a player”, you know young and picturesque but I stop him anyway. “Good Morning, Mike. If you had a daughter marching down Main Street today, Where would you sit?” Mike looks at me and walks us close to where the circle from the Castle and Main Street Intersect. Mike tells me to sit her and as she rounds the corner onto Main Street I will be able to see her perfectly. Then after she passes me get up. Since it is any area that CM’s stand in for information I should be able to quickly walk down Main Street to where they will also stop and perform. So Mike if you are reading this trip report or if anyone sees this great looking CM on Main Street let him know if he has children, he will make a great Dad. The seats were perfect. So we sit, get popcorn, eat popcorn, get pop, drink pop, wish we didn’t drink that much pop, and talk with our parade neighbors. Now everyone within my Mommy radius knows that DD is in the parade and to “get out of my way so pictures
character00308.gif
can be taken” and please don’t fight over my great seats when I leave. (Actually there is a very nice family with 2 children next to us. They were kind of cramped but had 2 great kids. Very well behaved. We gave them the “nod” when we were leaving and they moved over for breathing room. Karen and Bob, I hope you and the kids enjoyed the Parade!) There was also a very nice Photopass CM whom I didn’t get her name. I was very nervous and I am sorry about that. For any parents out there, here is a “budget” tip of a lifetime. If your child will be performing at WDW photo pass photographers will be snapping pics throughout and Disney will transfer ALL of these pictures to your photopass for free!! Buy the CD. A picture is worth a thousand words!! I only took a few pics myself, didn’t have to tape it, and enjoyed my daughter like I should have.

The parade starts! First we see the Main Street Family Fun Parade w/ lucky families riding along, a few characters meet and greet us and then the bands begin. First category is small, the next is average, and then our category which is large school band. Good thing that I am a Mom that cries for all. When the first band went by the tears started. I had forgot the tissues. DS ran over to the popcorn cart and brought me well a very large stack of napkins. He said I would need them. The minute I saw our school banner, very small tears began to flow. Then from around the corner I saw her. It was so strange. I heard no sounds at that moment. NONE. She proceeded towards us and the tears were flowing so hard and I surprised that I even got one picture of her. (Later in the day she told her father and I that when she saw us there for her she started to cry, and she was never so proud and happy in her life.) The band flowed by and we quickly went to our place to watch the band perform. I promise if it is the last thing I do for this trip report, I will post a slide show. I did not tape it and the tape the school put on line is horrible. Just bear with me, it will get posted. I do have their music taped!

Family Days Parade Begins…

My Daughter !!
So the parade ends and we are told we can meet up with the girl over in Adventure Land. So we decide to skip the actual parade and wait for DD. My eyes have dried and we are able to walk. Now I told you about the ground walking that I do. Well for some very special reason at a very special time, I lifted my head. And for the first time ever……………………………….............................................. DH, DS, and I had our first Dole Whip
ice.gif
. This definitely was a great day. So we wait, and wait, and wait. I glare at the rides… And we wait, and wait, and wait. Finally DD comes out and we have a family hug!! I ask her if she is hungry and heck yes she is. The excitement has her on “full-blown teenage girl high”. For those of you who have never experienced this, well picture a small child and an extremely large bag of sugar candy all for themselves! We go to Cosmic Ray’s again and get dinner. All is well except for the fact that there are NO MUSHROOMs in the Fixings Bar… Oh well I got over it. The kids sit at another table and Steve and I hold hands and eat at the same time. This is a great day to be parents. Well I told you before and I will tell you again, I was eavesdropping at what the kids were saying. They were behind us, when all of a sudden I hear someone from another table offer the kids their chili-fries. DD immediately says no thank-you. Then they say well we have regular fries if you prefer.. DD immediately says here are my fries but no thank-you. Well my MOM RADAR
smilie_schreck.gif
is going a mile a minute, I am racing to their table.. DD knows what is about to happen so she calmly calls me down to her.. She whispers… Mom don’t worry that is Mrs. So&So, my dance teacher!!
Dinner is over and I take my magical fast pass and take the kids on all the rides in Tomorrowland, and then we head over to Splash Mountain and Thunder Mountain, buy the pictures and then they leave. They take my DS with them and DH and I hit a few of my favorite rides. Then I start thinking about Wishes and the kids being late… So Steve calls Angela and she is well aware of the fact that they will miss the show but promises they will reach the bus on time. I have to give her credit and I do. We get a phone call a bit later when the girls want to hit all the rides in Fantasy Land. I oblige and we make record time and hit all of them within 45 minutes. I think this is a new record for us! DS stays with us and DD goes with the girls for the last hours. Now this is probably a good time to let you know I forgot to transfer the pictures to my photopass. So we make a mad dash over to Main Street, just in time to hid dead ends everywhere. The Electric Light Parade is going on! I am in a full blown panic attack
244.gif
from the crowds and the inability to get out! I am shaking
244.gif
. DH and DS are trying to calm me. I am way past repair!! I needed to be shut down for the day. Now Kevin my handsome warrior is also a champion maze person. He gets us through the crowd, finds the one and only path to Main Street and we get to the Photo Shop at about 9:15pm. The CM is confused at first but I think he saw the terror in my face. He called over a supervisor who had the pictures within seconds. We immediately dash to the locker, clear it out and head towards the bus. But I had to stop somewhere! DH and DS are my hero’s. I finally spot a little store and I buy DH Chip and Dale pretzels (his favorite), DS a Disney Rubic’s Cube (yes he can solve them within 90 seconds) and a cookie. Steve taps me on the shoulder and gives me a rice crispy Mickey. “You will need it later”. I pay and we get to the bus in the nick of time. (DD beat us and actual called the cell phone asking where we were). All evenings messages were delayed as we watched Wishes from the busses in the Transportation Center. Not the most romantic place but I held Steve’s hand

and the tears dropped. It was a very magical day and nothing was going to change that!!! Announcement were made, bed check was not until 12:30pm and snacks were available for the usual 15 minutes. Now on the bus DS is bobbing his head

. He is tired. But the minute we get back to the room he is ready to go!! I give him a room key, his laptop, and a snack. He comes in around midnight and we all go to bed.

i've enjoyed your report. I went my senior year in high school and we marched in the afternoon parade at MK too. I was a majorette and it was really cool getting to do that at MK! Also it was one of the best trips I have had to WDW because I got to hang out with all of my friends. Of course they were all jealous when they all had to fly home and i got to stay longer with my family. (My parents, brother and both sets of grandparents came down along with my aunt, uncle and cousin came to see me and my other two cousins who were in the band...but were not chaperones...my mom is not as brave as you are...:worship: ) Glad your daughter had a great time!
