Good morning all. I promise I will soon start figuring out who's who on here. I need to get a notebook and take notes I think.

This has been a good week so far. I've stayed pretty busy running errands and doing stuff around the house. We had a gorgeous weather yesterday and took advantage by taking our DS out to play baseball and ride his scooter after dinner last night. It was so nice I didn't want to come in.

I am starting to work out everyday now. I am still doing my DVD that only takes 10 miunutes. I was FINALLY able to fininsh the cardio workout last night without having to stop. MAJOR accomplishment for me!!! Hopefully soon I will be able to go for 20 minutes. My DS starts preschool next week. I am hoping to get in some walking while he is gone.

Maria-I hope you have a wonderful trip!!! Enjoy and stay safe.

Thanks again for all the encouragement everybody!

Haley

Morning Haley!!

WOO HOO!!! Exercise is the hardest for me..........Keep Moving and Losing!!

Have a Magical Disney Day!!
Linda

Maria!!!! I compare Krushchev to my fat cells...there needs to be a voluntary pull-out...all this hard work these past 13 days should be enough to convince them to shake it and leave! :) Thanks for such a great approach to weight loss and a fine history lesson, too!!!! :)

Have a great trip at Disney World...I really think you can go and not gain..your scale may show higher numbers but I guarantee you your clothes will fit looser...all that walking builds muscle!!!! So don't fret it when you come back! We'll hit the 160's in style! :)

Nikkibell...isn't it amazing how much we think we're eating v. how much we actually took in? I've got to keep myself more busy and away from the pantry! :) But, let's not be so hard on ourselves...atleast we caught it and will learn from it! :)

Linda...oooh fun a car ride! :) Don't forget to bring some hand weights and work your upper arms or if you're doing all the driving...do some ab isolation...every 2 mile sprint suck in your abdominals and use those muscles to support your back then release...do 12 sets! :) Oh, and the left leg raise...while sitting down just raise your left leg knee up for about 10 seconds and release...lots to do in a car! :)
I think I can avoid the nutter bars...my clothes are fitting soo loosely and that inspires me...it's just when my 6 year old stands there holding the other piece and saying, "What do I do with this one, mommy?"...and I just say "AW...let me have it." Usually my son will eat it but he decided on a Reese cup for his treat yesterday...so that left me holding the nutter bar! :)

I need to learn how to live with nutter bars in my life. :p

Haley!!! Great job on the exercise!!! And walking for his preschool break is a GREAT idea!!! You're punching all the right numbers baby!!! :) Those pounds can't stay on! :)

Did my walk..our other neighbor returned from a month long trip and the commando walker neighbor just left us in the dust today...and we actually shaved off a minute from yesterday...we did it in an hour and 6 minutes and she pulled ahead atleast a minute in front of us. Gang that's averaging 15 and 1/2 minute miles!!! I say WOW!!! I don't think I'll ever walk as fast as commando lady! I'm going to focus on getting more water in, keeping myself limited to one caffeine drink today (unsweet tea or diet coke) and eating a salad for lunch with no nutter butter! :)

This can be a losing day!

We're off to Disney World today, so I'll see you all when I get back! I should warn you, I expect to gain some weight, so I'll be eager to learn any new tips anyone is sharing! :mickeybar
Maria

Have a great time, Maria! Enjoy yourself! It will all come off next month and you will be back on track.

Linda: At least it is a beautiful day here in Indiana! Yesterday was beautiful too. I mowed the whole yard just because I wanted to be outside. I have never been down to IU (we are at Ball State), but I hear it is a beautiful campus.

Tara: Your food list didn't look too bad to me. Try filling up on carrots. Just buy a 1 pound bag of carrots and eat at least half of them. That should help curb that hungry feeling without adding many calories. I think you are doing great!

Haley: Great job doing the exercise DVD. I HATE EXERCISE (I think everyone on here may know that already  ). I am impressed by everyone who is able to get it in. I do know that it is a good idea to do something, even walking.

Lisa: Tell us about school! How are the kiddos this year?

As for our life, we have accepted it will be crazy this year with both kids in different schools, but we LOVE this Lab School at the university. They are doing some really neat and exciting things with them that the public school just couldn't do (because of funding and resources available).

My one that is still at the regular school is dead set against moving and leaving her friends next year, but after seeing what this new school has to offer, we have 99.9% sure she is going to the Lab school as soon as they have an opening for her! BUT we did tell her we would keep an open mind, and if her school proved to be a better school for her we would let her stay (that way she doesn't stress over it all year--but I can't imagine that we would keep her at the regular school if we had the chance to move her).

OH! I just realized, I should have posted after bit because I am going to weigh in for the month. Oh well, I will just have to make a new post when I get back.

Have a great day everyone!

Debra

Good morning everyone.

Just a quick post to say I saw 172.5 on the scale this morning.:banana: That means I earned my 5 lb clippie back. I just have to get in the habit of exercising.

Back to traveling schedule next week. Maybe I can force myself to use the exercise room as soon as I get out of work each night. I know if I sit down to surf the net or relax. I'm done for.

Arm is more sore today. I thought spending most or the day on the computer would help yesterday but my thought backfired. Put the arm back on my chair this morning to see if that would help (not having to support all the weight with trashed muscles).

Will check in later to change the clippie and update.

Have a great day.

Congrats! This will be the first of many clippies! Update that Sig Line!

I just got back from weighing in and I had a nice surprise. I can never tell from my scales what the WW scales will say (my scale and weigh two different weights one right after the other, but they are close).

I am down another 6.4 pounds! :cool1:

That puts me at a total of 56.8 pounds, so I got a new clippie too!

So I made the 5 for August Challenge!

Debra

Debra - Congratulations on the loss :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc . Keep up the hard work.

Linda- Actually the recipe is already posted. Go to the eating healthy section of WISH,then the WW Recipe Index, the recipe is under the main dish section and is called "Layered Mexican Chicken". The only think I do different is I added some green and yellow peppers this time for some added flavor and color. Other than that I am still playing with the seasonings, because I tend to like things on the spicy side.

Morning All! :)

Thank you for all of the kind words and support. You are right, today IS going to be MY DAY! :) I am now taking a break from climbing on top of my computer tables in my classroom to work on my bulletin boards. I really have a lot of trouble doing this. :( Sean was going to help like he usually does, but could not get off of work. It is so hard to get them done. Ugh! It took an hour and a half to get one done and the entire back wall of my classroom has bulletin boards! :earseek: My poor back! lol

Anyway, Wawa is my new favorite store. They do have low fat sandwiches and also an excellent chef salad that I am having as we speak. It only has 190 calories and is huge! I love it! :Pinkbounc I wonder if this is what I should get during the school year for lunch???

There's a new snack food out that I have been meaning to tell everyone about. I tried them last week while we were in Hershey, PA and loved them! Ruffles makes them and they are LIGHT cheddar and sour cream chips! Now, if you are a Ruffles afficianado like I am you know that the regular cheddar and sour cream chips are great...these are identical! My friends and I did a taste test and few could tell the difference between regular and light! They are fat free and 75 calories for a bunch of chips. Go try them!!!

Hey guys. Day 2 of school...I survived..and just barely.

Eating has been okay-I've been packing my lunch a lot...but snacking has been kept on the DL.

Classes are doing fine...I haven't done much in class because they haven't assigned much, but I have homework and I am visiting you in between Spanish and math.

Still a cheerleader-and a WAY tired one at that...tomorrow I have to get up at 5:00 because I have an early morning practice at 7:00! Fun.

Adieu!

WOO HOO Kathy and Debra!!!! AWESOME cliPPIe news!!!! :) Here's a limerick for you both...

There once were two WISH'ers a wishin
For clippies they both were a fishin,
They stepped on the scales
And let out some wails,
kicking their fat cells out of commission!

YEAH!!!!

Regina! That recipe sounds yummy!!! Please share any more that are your favorites..I'm really bad about trying to take the time to find good recipes but will take your word for them!!! :)

TC...Ola Pythagoreum!!! :) Get it, spanish/math??? Okay, I'm feeling really lamey and goosey today! :) GREAT JOB on managing the first two days..we've missed you around here...you've done so well managing your loss during the summer I'm sure having your schedule change takes some adjusting...sounds like you're handling it WELL!!!!

I've avoided the nutter bar...boy did I REALLY want one...but I opted for about 10 semi-sweet chocolate chips and that did the trick...I can stay good until my weigh on in Saturday and then I think I'll let myself have a 200 calorie fun cheat! :) Take care all!!! Just seeing these losses is keeping me focused on good eating! :)

Tara

Thanks, Tara!! Congrats on avoiding the Evil Nutter Butters...they are conspiring against you, you know...they are seriously trying to escort you off the track...I know. The Malicious Marshmallows have been sending me secret messages...I've been ignoring them!

Congrats to all the new clippie achievers!! :thewave:

I do have a spot of bad news. My mommy will be in Las Vegas for my birthday!!! She has to go sit in on an audit and tell them about stuff she doesn't even know about when she should be here...with me! She even has to miss my first halftime show for this year! She's breaking the first rule of birthdays and it's not her fault...:sad1:

Don't you just hate it when you get something in your head like that! That happens to me sometimes. I start craving something and it just really bugs me for quite a long time. Right now I am in between cravings, but there is almost always something that it calling to me. Often it is potato chips (for some reason those Cheddar and Sour Cream Lays that Nikkibell mentioned are sounding REALLY good, I may have to pick some up when I go back to the store).

Debra

Debra - great new clippie. Keep up the losing.

Went to the gym today after work. Spent 30 min on the arc-trainer and did 1.5 miles. Eating was fairly good until I decided to have a dish of ice cream. It tasted really good but it should last for a while.

Tara - great job on avoiding the nutter butter. DD2 gave me two coupons for free Take 5 candy bars. I hung them on the refrig. They expire in Jan 2006 so I have a long time to decide whether to use them.

Water consumption today was about 80 ozs.

TC2009 - sorry to hear you Mom will not be around for your birthday. I'm sure she feels as bad about it as you do. Maybe things will work out and she will be able to be there.

Have a good evenng.

ONward and DOWNward

Hi Everyone,
Today was a good day, I stayed on plan and have avoided the evening snacking that I know others struggle with. The only not so on program thing was I just couldn't drag my body out of bed at 4:30am to exercise. But I will get up tomorrow and get my exercise in. The new thiing I will focus on is not eating after 8pm. I realize now that this is a large part of my stuggle to lose weight.

My big news for the day is that today is the 100 day mark for my Disney vacation.  :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc . Sorry, I just had to dance, I have been waiting for this vacation for over 2 years. This is exciting and also intimidating, because I really want to be in Onderland before we leave, that will put me at my lowest weight in 6 years.

TC - Hang in there and have fun with cheering. Sorry your Mom won't be home for you Birthday.

Tara - Good job, avoiding the craving.

Debra/Nikkibell - I love the Ruffles light potato chips, have you tried the BBQ flavored ones. I just found them this summer. Another good fat free potato chip is the Pringles fat free, I believe they come in Sour Cream and Onion and BBQ.

Regina

REGINA!!! CONGRATS on hitting the 100 day mark!!! Just think of HOW GREAT you will feel being your smallest in 6 years!!!! It really is a great feeling...I'm getting those little mickey tickles in my belly knowing that if our house closes next Wednesday that it will only be 12 days to Disney...Here's what I'll be doing

well, I was going to type a 12 day list...but really what I'll be doing is GRINNING EAR TO EAR!!!! Oh, and trying to find a swimsuit that covers these cottage cheese thighs!!!!

I've had 2 Reese cups today...there, I admitted it but I knew if I didn't have them I'd eat everything until I did...just one of those days today. I'm going to flush them out with some nice cold water and do my arm exercises this afternoon.

What are you guys doing today to help shape the new you?

Tara,
Sometimes you just have to eat a Reeses! I know how that is. I love those things too, and nothing else will do.

Hope everything goes smoothly with you house. I wish I could go with you to WDW! We have to wait until March.

Nothing new going on here. Just counting those calories and thinking about pizza for some reason :confused3 . We order one on the weekends, so I have to wait until Saturday, but today it just sounded so good. Oh well.

BEAUTIFUL weather here in Indiana! Just BEAUTIFUL! I wish every day was like today. Makes you feel so happy when the weather is like this. :sunny:

Debra

Debra....are you sure we're not conjoined twins??? I'm sitting here trying to barter one piece of pizza v. a diet drink...they're both about the same calories and I'm keeping a dear friend's kids today (she threw her back out!! OUCH!) and it would just be so easy to feed 6 kids pizza than try to make something to please 6 kids! :) But I know if I order pizza I won't be able to resist one slice! Luckily all these kids eat alot so with 2 large's I'll probably only have 1 piece to eat anyhow! :) I made some cole slaw for lunch so I could eat that with it for some more veggies.

Come on with us to Disney!!! And I need more swimsuit ideas....trying to find some boyshorts that will be more concealing than the skirts that look awful on me...oh, I can't wait to be at GOAL next summer and not have to worry about these thighs! :)

Tara

Thanks, Kathy.

It's been a VERY long day but a great one!!! I'm helping with the Publications team...proofing, but still, tres cool!

Debra, I've been thinking pizza too lately! I am going to have to get some Weight Watchers pizza! They're sooo good!

I did well today. My classroom is finally done and it looks spectacular. I even made a special bulletin board with "Greg the Grammar Spider." lol!

I just read on another post that you are supposed to take your goal weight and multiply it by 15 if you exercise 4-5 times a week. This will give you your calories per day. Is this true? I am eating way under that then!
