Lacerta-first of all I looked at your ticker! Congrats on the loss of four pounds!!!! Keep on keeping on!

Linda-more :sunny:, :grouphug: and :wizard: for you and :grouphug: for your daughter.

Carrieberry-I weigh myself, but know not to expect much considering TOM's there. Just my opinion!

Tara-Thanks!!!! :goodvibes You're an awesome motivator too! ::yes:: Everybody deserves a cheerleader to keep them moving! Of course, your "chubalub" is "weight"ing so that we can go down together! You can do this! I'm so proud of you for stickin' with it! Remember: Everyone here is a wonderful WISHer and nobody can take that away (and if they do, karate chop them or something!!)

Regina-I love Cedar Point! Have fun and make sure to get some saltwater taffy! It's, like, their specialty!

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone! Drink your water, eat healthily, exercise (it's hot and beautiful here!) and keep your chin up!

Evening all!!

Just a quick thank you for all your support. DD17 made it through her promless night but is was tough :sad2: Today she actually went to a theatrical audition but didn't have her heart in it. She did not get a call back BUT I am very proud of her getting out of the house. :goodvibes

She came home in a fairly decent mood but now the anxiety boogie monster has reared its ugly head and she is very very sad :sad2: She misses what she had with her boyfriend.......remembering the good things NOT remembering how cruel he has been lately. DD20 tells me this is normal and I need to let her work through this. :confused3 So tough to watch your child hurting.

Hoping for a better day tomorrow :sunny: :sunny:

Weight and exercise is still in limbo..........need to start taking care of myself and that will also come.

Thanks for all :grouphug:

Have a Magical Disney Day!! :earsboy:
Linda

Linda: I'm glad your DD was able to get out to her audition. I am sure it was tough for her to do that, but it was good for her to get out and get her mind off of things.

To Everyone: Haven't stayed on program this weekend. My Girl Scout Troop had a Lock In at the Mall Friday night, so we went there at 10:00 pm and stayed up ALL NIGHT and got home around 6:30. So I am really tired and off schedule.....BUT....we had a blast! It was my troop's last activity. They are moving to Middle School next year and they are all going to different schools, so it was time to end, but it was sad. I felt like I was watching the end of a movie. We have been together for 6 years now, and I watched them go from Kindergarten to (soon to be) Middle School.

Well, now things are back to normal. Time to get back on track. I have around 10 days before our trip to WDW, and I would like to lose a little more before we head out (because I will probably come home with an extra 5 pounds at least).

DJ

 I'm so sorry Linda (i really don't know what else to say, except I'm here for ya!). I think your kind of case calls for extra strength pixie dust! Remember to take care of yourself too!!! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*!

DJ! Glad you had fun and wished my GS troop stayed together long enough to do that.

Morning All!! :sunny:

Chicago will be hitting 80 degrees today and 85 tomorrow :sunny:. Along with the heat comes my favorite hairstyle - wavy and out of control :rotfl: Humidity is hovering over the city - finally broke down and put the air on.

Thanks for all the good wishes. DD17 had the hardest weekend of her young life. Now you and I know from experience that if this is the worst thing to ever happen she will have a GREAT Life!! :cool1: But you can't explain that to a heart broken 17 year old. She actually went out last night to a graduation party and guess who showed up........the ex. They didn't really speak but she was rattled. Fortunately she was convinced to stay and not run home :Pinkbounc Once she did come home she was very sad :sad2: This wound will take a while to heal.

Still not eating right.........have to force the food.........was doing well with that before this weekend. Need to keep pushing that. Her stomach is shrinking and mine is expanding :rotfl2: She has one more full day of school (and facing everyone knowing they know she got dump - another soap opera in the making) and then 2 days of finals.

As for me.........well let's see it is MONDAY and the favorite day of the week to commit. So here I go - I promised myself that once we got through prom weekend I would focus on myself. Waiting for the phone to ring to see if I am working or not. If not I HAVE PLANS!! :cheer2: If it does I STILL HAVE PLANS :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

DJ - Sounds like you had a great time!! Now it is time to move it and lose it

Tigercheer - Can I take your spirit and enthusiasm and bottle it? :goodvibes You are an awesome friend.

To all my friends - THANKS!! Let's hope this is the beginning of a "LOSING" week!!

Have a Magical Disney Day!! :earsboy:
Linda

Good Morning gang! Wow! So many new losers! I am back for good! We made it through three weeks of hectic graduation chaos. I am happy to say baby girl has graduated and gone to Colorado to have a summer adventure. She is working in an awesome antique shop and enjoying time with grandparents. As for me....well....I fell off the wagon and did 10 pounds of damage (I even edited my clippie with my head hanging low no more 25). BUT I am committing myself to climb back on the healthy wagon. I have a full blown check up in October and the numbers won't lie, so I gotta get the Cholesterol and BP down! Not to mention that I physically feel like crap right now due to the "extra" baggage. Uh!

Linda, I am so sorry your DD is having a rough time at what should be the time of her life. Both of you need {{{HUGS}}} watching a child hurt is so frustrating. :grouphug:

Tara, Tara, Tara.....I'll kick your backside if you'll kick mine! :rotfl: What are we SEC girls to do??? What would the team do? C'mon football season isn't THAT far away. Congrats on the move by the way!

OK, team I'll be seeing you here now on a daily basis and I wish you luck and much losses!! :cool1:

Well gang...I'm right with ya...!!! To all the losers in MAY... YAHOO!!! You're a strong bunch and are starting the entry into summer in style!!! :) For all who (like me) gave up on May and is too skiddish to see the scales (actually was blessed last Thursday when the battery died on mine)...let's make this Monday recommit LAST!!! I started off with a 4 mile walk this early am...had scrambled eggs and bacon (low carbing until I get back to 178...then I'll work on slowly adding good carbs in) and hopefully, Doritos and brownies will not call my name! :)

Tiggerkeeper!! Girl!! Let's make a vow to be a fit and healthy SEC football fan! I want to go to an Auburn game this Fall wearing a size 10!!! I KNOW I can do this!! :)

I need to write down 10 reasons why I need to get to the 150's....

Top 10...

10. I need to be distanced from the obese category...back away from the overweight category and see the healthy weight sign next to my number.

9. I've spent $200 on clothing that I haven't even worn yet! Oh and some articles have been in there over a year!

8. I want to be able to throw my scale away and just use my size 10 jeans as my gauge for losing weight.

7. I want to feel good in a bathing suit!

6. I want my kids to see a healthy mom.

5. My 20th high school anniversary is this year...although I don't think they're having a reunion...there is something to be said for being healthy 20 years after your teenage years.

4. I want to use less sunscreen (ya know my surface area decreases)

3. I want to buy nice underwear.. no more granny panties

2. I want to hike 10 miles and not huff and puff up a big hill.

1. I WANT TO CELEBRATE IT WITH YOU GUYS!!!

Tara

Hello gang!

It's a whole new day/week and pretty much the beginning of the month-what better time to get back to my healthy eating. I had done so well earlier this year and took off 29 pounds in about 8-9 weeks, then stopped cold. I continued exercising (most days) but quit my healthy eating habits altogether. I've tried to blame it on everything (too many events out, too many busy days, too much good junk food in the house, etc..) but I need to make these changes last a lifetime and I hope I can change starting right now.

I've read the last pages of the thread and it is great to see all the support & camraderie (sp?) here, hope I can come back to the 150 group. I'm off to change my clippie/ticker to reflect what I've gained back (7.6 lbs) so i can realistically look at things again.

Hope everyone has a great day! :)

Hey Tara, so glad to see someone else wants a Victoria Secrets moment! :) I am so with ya on the granny panties!! :rotfl: DS bought us USC v UGA tickets and that's like the second game of the season and it will be HOT! HOT! HOT! which calls for a sleeveless shirt. :cheer2:

You are on with the challenge! That list is a healthy reminder of what you are doing this for have you printed it out and put it where you can see it daily?

welovedis we can come back together! You CAN do this! Get focused! It is great that you didn't stop exercising that seems to be my biggest problem - getting motivated to exercise and sticking with it. We are here for ya! :Pinkbounc

Back from WDW .5 lb lighter and still almost at the weight I was when joining WISH. Time to concentrate on exercise instead of trying to keep my head above water with extra work.

My goal is to exercise every day, even if it is only for .5 hour. I want to meet the June exercise challenge.

Great job to all those who have continued to lose and to those who have maintained.

To everyone struggling with their weight loss, I am right with you. We can do this with the support of this great group. Let's get focused and start losing again.

Onward and Downward

Good Afternoon Everyone - We had a blast at Cedar Point, we spent the morning and evening in Cedar Point riding the rides and the afternoon in Soak City playing in the water. To help save money, we took our travel trailer with us and ate both lunch and dinner in it. So I was able to pack and prepare foods that were good for me. My one indulgence was some frozen custard.

Welcome back Tiggerkeeper and Welovedis.

Regina

I had a pretty bittersweet day. I don't want to talk about it. Read my journal if you wanna find out.

Linda-Thanks. You don't know how much your words meant to me! And yes, you can bottle it. You'd have to have some pretty big bottles though!

Welcome back Tiggerkeeper and welovedis! Glad to meet you!

Tara Tara-I love your Top Ten list. I may have to try that!

Kathy-Congratulations! I know you can do this!!! I know WE can do this! Onward and downward, sista!

Regina-Glad you liked it. What did you ride? I love the big rides. Sounds like you did great!

Today went well, WW seems to be working well for me, and I haven't been hungry between meals.

TigerCheer - I love the big rides as well, however with the additional weight, I am no longer able to ride the newer coasters. Before I had the kids and gained all this weight, I was able to ride Millinium Force and loved it. This trip was unplanned and so it was just the 4 of us, so we only did what the kids could do. When there are other adults with us, we do on occasion get to ride the coasters if there is little or no wait.

Regina

Thanks for replying! I love the raptor. It was pretty embarrassing when my dad couldn't fit in it though and I could.

Morning All!! :sunny:

Hot and sweltering - How about you?? :rotfl:

Day went fairly well yesterday for DD17 - today start finals - this will all be over on Wednesday - then summer vacation!! Woo Hoo!!

Anyone own a dog? We are seriously talking about getting one - something small like a cockapoo, bichon etc. I personally have always wanted a dog but know how much work they are. We have a small house and a medium back yard and 2 cats (ages 7 and 3). Any opinions?

Tigercheer - sorry to read about the band director :sad2: Always frustrating when someone you care about moves on.

Just got the phone call - working again.......at this time of the year there is always a part of me that wishes the phone would not ring - sigh.......but it is MONEY :rotfl2:

Have a Magical Disney Day!!
Linda

Thank you Linda. Are pomeranians small enough for you? My mom's best friend owns one.

I think I failed the "sleeping in" part of summer vacation. It's 7:37!!

Morning! Morning! Morning! Sun is out and it will be a hot one I fear! I just swept the patio - does that count as exercise 'cause it sure feels that way. :teeth:

Linda, my vote would be for the bichon. I have had two and they are very loving and playful. The hypo-allergenic quality is a great plus! No shedding and you really don't have to maintain that showdog haircut they look sweet no matter how you do their "do". So now you've heard part of the sales pitch I have been giving my hubby!! :cool1: Hope you have a good day and that your DD does well on finals!! :cheer2:

Hey Regine and Tigercheer thanks for the welcome home! I always do better when I am here because of the support! :Pinkbounc

Hope everyone has a GREAT DAY and some GREAT LOSSES!!

WOW!! I wish I had time to CHEER all those wonderful statements up above!!! I'm just amazed at how some of you lose weight at Disney, and maintain your exercise and aren't just JUMPING UP WITH EXCITEMENT for your wonderful accomplishments!!!! I'll do it for ya!!!  :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc We really need to praise ourselves a little more...heck just even coming here and posting deserves a praise...it means we KNOW we should live fitfully and we're making that first effort...so WAHOO everyone!!! All your posts just liven me UP for losing!!!

Quick post to say I slept in until 9am!!!! My dear children (all three of them had a sleepover...that sweet angelic mother had my three plus her 4!) I'm running to go relieve her so I can keep 6 of them so she can have a break...she has a nursing infant that I can't keep for her...but maybe she can take some naps today! :) My dh and I stayed up all night talking and it was so GREAT! We tried to put a new battery in our scales and I made him test it...they weighed him at 277...he's actually about 218...so it looks like we're in the market for a new scale. I weigh in Thursday..so anyone have any suggestions for great scales that are under $50?

Thanks gang!!! I've made it through 1.5 days of low carbing and avoided all my normal snack cravings!!! YEAH!!! :)

Tigercheer...I'm running to check out you rough day...we're here for you!!!!

Tara

Awwwww, thank you, guys. See, the reason why I've succeeded on this lifetime plan thingy is that I had support from people who fully understand what the heck is happening w/ WW etc. I can talk points, or exercise and help people too. This-this alone, the support part of the deal-is what keeps me going on. Those hugs are keeping me away from the Cheetos (which, I swear to you, are multiplying like cells as I type). It's summer, so I'm home all the time, which means more snacking possibilities.

This summer, my goal is to not snack so much. What I mean is this: if I really want something, I'm not going to deny it to myself, I'm just going to have it in a controlled portion. If I don't indulge my cravings every once in a while, they'll just get bigger and more out of control. When they get like that, they pop and I eat everything in sight. That is not going to happen this year!!!!

You guys, next to my family and friends, are my best support groups. :hug:s to each and EVERY one of you.

Tara Tara Tara- You deserve a party or something. You made it through 1.5 days of low carbing with no normal snack cravings?!?!? I have to have my carbies, but HURRAY for you!
