I heard there was a place at the YC you could get a fast breakfast? Have you tried there?
Redbudlover

No, I haven't been over there at all except to look at the Lobby. That would be easy to get to if they have it. We tend to get some juice and donuts the night before and stick then in the fridge (we stay in the villas) so whoever gets up and is hungry and just get something. One of my DDs and my DH just HAS to eat breakfast. My other DD and me can go without. So it works out to do this. Breakfast isn't really our thing (except at Boma--we LOVE the breakfast at Boma! BUT we get the latest seating as we can so it is more like brunch, by the way, Boma is a buffet at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, and we like to go over there for breakfast sometimes).

Hello All!
Welcome Redbudlover! I am new here, too! Everyone is very supportive & so friendly. It's really a Godsend! :sunny:
Tara--yes, I am almost caffeine-free! Strictly caff free diet Pepsi, coffee is
'lite' type. I don't always mention it, but I am a big water drinker--have
set a goal of 80 oz. Have a super trip! I will miss you here!
Maria--love the trip reports, they really get me into putting the final touches
on our trip coming up in Nov :goodvibes
Debra--Wow! :earseek: super weekend!
Haley--hello! that's hard having to cut yr trip short--it's good to know the
time you & yrs spent in the World was fabulous!
Linda--Hello! stress is a real bugaboo for me, too! That & if I skip or am very
late on meals. I am learning not to beat up on myself for lapses. I
now, actually set a timer on for 5 minutes, grouse & stew at myself
then go on. For me, at least, I found when I dwelt on my cheating--&
I always did!--it
lead to depression & more eating--so my goal is 'no more' being
nasty to myself!
Lisa--love the quote! and whenever you want to do the 'housework workout'
you come visit me!
Hi TigerCheer!--love the school newsl! wish I was there to help you put up
salsa!
Hello NYcpa! I admire yr exercise dedication! Hoping you are on the
mend~
Hi Nikki--hope yr birthday was terrific!

Hmm..Sunday was just ok for me

2 cups coffee, 1/2 cup salad

Lots of water, diet pepsi
Today

Hey guys!!!!

I had a great time at school and am still having a great time! I'm taking a class that's helping me learn more about myself and I think that could be one of the keys I need to unlock this weight!

Jean-Hi!!! I swear to you, some of that salsa we put up could take paint off the walls!!! But then again, I am not very tolerant of hot stuff...and sometimes medium salsa makes my eyes water and can make my nasal passages clear.

RBLover-Sounds like you're doing absolutely CHEERIFIC!
:cheer2: Redbudlover is
:cheer2: Makin' those pounds go down!!
~*~*~*~*
Everyone else, Hi! and How are you doing?
!*!*!*!*!*!
Today-my squad leader was totally pressing every button! But I tuned it out and went to DisneyWorld! I got to see what I imagine to be the Disney Stars and Motor Cars parade...and I got to imagine a fun time at WWTBAM? during our frustrating band practice. And let me tell you-I was LOVING it!

D from yesterday: 1/2 a meatloaf muffin, 1 cup mashed potatoes, a tablespoon of corn (8)

B: Egg Scrambly (4 points...two eggs and a slice of Canadian bacon), and two PB and Nana English Muffins (5 points total)
L: I packed this awesome lunch of turkey slices, an apple, cucumber slices and a bananananana  in a brown paper bag. Yeah-no. All that was good in the lunch sack come lunch was the turkey. The apple had bruises and cuts and a worm hole in it, the banananana turned brown and the cuke slices were all mushy!! (1 point)
S: 1/2 meatloaf muffin (2.5), 2 pears (2)
D: My brother is making biscuits and I don't know what else we will make.

Exercise: 20 minute walk today! I am so proud of myself!! Worked up one heck of a ferocious sweat!

Water: 12 ounces today. The day is not over yet...I'm working on it!

Good evening!

I meant to post earlier, but they actually expected me to work at my place of employment. Can you believe the nerve?! :rotfl:

Hmmm. Well, I think I'm doing well foodwise. I had a Kashi bar for breakfast, two slices of diet bread with peanut butter for lunch, popcorn for a snack, Cornpops for a snack, and chicken noodle soup for dinner. I'm planning on a Lindt treat momentarily. I know, Sorry it's after 8, Linda. I got behind in my eating, and I still want my Lindt treat, so I'm going to have it and stop there.

Tomorrow's plan includes a banana for breakfast, more peanut butter for lunch (I do portion, but I need the protein to feel full), an apple and raisins. More soup for dinner. TOM is nearly here, and I am wanting to eat everything I can find. I'm just trying to pace my eating out over more of the day as a strategy to satisfy myself. I end up breaking my 8 p.m. rule, but it's better than a giant feastfest!

My dh didn't move the treadmill back to it's place (he'd moved it to do something or other), so I couldn't get on it today. I have high hopes for Wednesday. Tomorrow I have a training until 5, so my workout time is really not going to happen. By the time I get home, it will be straight to dinner, etc.

I'm skipping the Trip Report tonight, guys. I'm just feeling tired and I want to go to bed. Day 3 is coming soon, I promise!

Tara -- Let's hope she is having the best birthday ever! :cake:

Jen -- I like your strategy. Just tune her out and go to the Happiest Place on Earth! ::MickeyMo

Jean -- I admire you for doing the free weights. I know I should, I just never seem to get started. :confused3

Debra -- If I can lose 5 lbs. a month, I will be a happy camper. You are such an inspiration to us all. You've worked hard, and the results are wonderful! Congratulations on sticking to your #s for the weekend. That is the toughest time, and you did it! :Pinkbounc

Linda -- I am a total stress eater! Trust me, I understand. But, one evening will not end all your progress! And, I am coming. TOM is making me crazy. I can't trust any weight on the scale for the next week or so. I'll let you know where I am after it settles down. I have to stay off the scale right now, or I just make myself depressed and nuts. :tilt:

Kathy -- Great walk this morning! That is a terrific pace. :cool1:

Haley -- Sorry your trip was cut short. Glad you did so well on vacation! :goodvibes

Lisa -- I echo Debra's words, you'll be so glad you got your MA before you have other family responsibilities. Losing weight is a major project. Getting your MA is a major project. The fact that you have taken on both simultaneously is fantastic! You'll look so svelte getting that degree! :flower:

Nikki -- It sounds like you had a great birthday! :cake:

Have a great evening, everyone. We are going to have a Tiggerific Tuesday!

Maria

Good evening fellow losers

Scale was down two pounds today. Will have to see what it says when I get back from Long Island on Friday. A contributing factor to the loss was not eating from 8 pm Saturday night until 13:30 this morning. I wasn't allowed to even drink water after 4 pm yesterday.

Food for today;
After medical procedure - small glass of ginger ale
Breakfast - 2 cookies and bottle of water
Snack - take 5 candy bar
Lunch - taco chili (Erin found recipe in Betty Crocker cookbook) wasn't bad, diet caffeine free soda
Supper - popcorn, diet cherry soda.

Not the best choice but my stomach is somewhat rebeling haveing food put in it again. Need to eat healthy and in moderation but make sure I get in at least 1500 calories.

TC2009 - great food choices. Keep drinking the water. With your activity level you should drop those last 5 pounds soon. Keep up the good work in band and enjoy all the exercise.

Need to get packed for tomorrow so I can be on the road by about 6:30 am. Will grab something to eat along the way. Maybe a hot bagel and try to stay away feom the unhealthy donuts.

Not sure if I am getting internet access this trip. I have alot of work to do in the evenings and the internet distracts me from it. I will definately check in again whenever possible.

Good Morning All!
Well, last night I was better--
Dinner--big cabbage salad, 2 tsp ginger dressing, 1 tblsp crisp noodles, water, diet Pepsi, 1/2 cup smoked turkey breast
Found out those Italian sausages I ate are 210 cal a piece!
although I do Atkins, I do try to cut calories, also--won't be chowing down on those babies any time soon!
did 15 minutes of free weights, & 20 minutes on the stairs--puff puff :faint:
haven't had breakfast yet, not even coffee, so off to make an egg white omelet & get that all-important java jolt!
DSis wants to go on a 'girl's' cruise to Bermuda (not DCL :sad1: ) next August--me and endless food trapped! :crazy2: Well, she says the ship has a wonderful gym (equally :scared: ) Our plan is 2 exersize sessions, morning & night, will hopefully, keep pds off. We like to walk when we sightsee, so it's a plan!

Jean

Hi everyone! :wave2: I hope everyone is doing well! My sister called me on Saturday night and her boyfriend proposed to her that evening. This is so exciting and then she tells me the wedding is on October 15 of this year. That gives me one month to try and lose as much weight as possible. This weekend we are going dress shopping and I am not really looking forward to it, but it is for my sister and I love her. She asked me to be her matron of honor and of course I said yes. I reached my 30 pound mark this morning and I am so excited! Anyway, let's keep up the great work and keep on truckin!! :cheer2: :earboy2:

Thanks, Kathy!!! I've gained a little bit but I am NOT changing my ticker-it reminds me of how far I've come!

Maria-Best strategy EVER. I got to see Cinderellabration today! Squad leader was being a total and absolute popcorn-head!!

I got TAGGED! Again! Woohoo!!

I am 90 days out from my Disney trip! Made and got all my ADR's-but what is the Candlelight processional?

I took a big step today! I just felt really peachy over all today!!

the treadmill broke! :(

B: 2 cups cereal (4)
L: I forgot to pack I was so swept up in Disney Fever! So I had the alternative: Creamed Chicken and Biscuit (8)
S: pear with PB (2)
D: so far a Fruit and Walnut Salad (4). Yummers!

Hey Hey Hey!!! Where the planet did everybody go?!

I'm still here!! Check me out-I'm a Secretary, Floating Vice President and Student Council Member as of today! Whoohoo!!!!!

Tara-You're probably at Disney-or nearly ready for it!! Have fun and document the foods you eat. Inquiring minds wanna know!

B: 2 cups cereal (4)
L: turkey and chips (3)
S: cheezy popcorn and 2 apples (3)
D: ??

32 ounces water, 16 minutes DDR.

I'm here too! :wave2:

I haven't had a great day food wise. DD made her first cake yesterday and we have been sampling it for the past 24 hours. I try to stay away (and thankfully it is almost gone), but like I mentioned before, I am fine with store bought stuff because I know I can run to Walmart any time and buy something (it is only 5 minutes from me and open 24 hours a day). But homemade stuff if different, it isn't around as much or as easy to get, so I have a real hard time avoiding it.

Oh well, it will be gone by the end of the night.

Congrats Jen on your school activities. Sounds like fun! You are going to be very busy!

I have been doing my 1 mile walk with DH every day for the past week and I really look forward to it. We talk and it is just nice to be out in the evenings now (with the weather a little cooler). So that has been going well.

Hope everyone is doing well! Maria, do we get another trip report?
Debra

PRESENT AND ACCOUNTED FOR!!! :goodvibes

Lately I really don't know where the days are going :confused3 :confused3

Food intake has been irratic at best. Battling with TOM and it has been winning some of the battles. Seem to be very sensitive and stressed this month........greeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaat for an emotional eater like me.

Today - WATCH THE FOOD PORTIONS Drink the water (have had problems with this the last couple of days) and NO EATING AFTER 8PM

Jen- Sounds like you are having a GREAT time at school. Enjoy every moment :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Debra - there is something special about homemade especially if it was prepared by someone you love

Belle - Congrats to your sister!! That is a great motivator to lose some weight. :cheer2:

Jean - How are you doing? A cruise with your sister would sounds great!! I don't have a sister and would have loved to experience one. Go For It!! :bounce:

And the rest of the gang?????????????? WHERE ARE YOU????? MISS YOU!!!!

Have a Magical Disney Day!!
Linda

I am holding my weight - 168 and happy to be in the 160s, but wanted to lose more before our trip to Disney the 27th, but am having a hard time. Following my gallbladder surgery Aug 27 I was finally able to work out last night and did 25 minutes on the bicycle and five minutes working my shoulders and upper chest on the machines - can't do any abdominal work yet and my doctor said to stay off the elliptical until after my trip. Went to Applebees for dinner and had French onion soup and half of a half salad - so was doing ok there, but couldn't resist a gin and tonic - and I know alcohol slows my weight loss - then at home had 3/4 cup of chocolate pudding left over from the days after surgery when I was on a soft diet. It is depressing to have so little self control - and hard when it is in the house. So this morning the scale sat just where it was yesterday. Today should be better...

Thanks Linda! Yeah I am using it to motivate me more! :cheer2:

Hello All-
Redbudlover--you'll do better when your body's feeling better! :dancer:
I've tried to 'de-goody' my house-- my thin DH & DS16 probably don't appreciate it but they are supportive. DH can eat anything & not gain weight! :rolleyes2
He keeps most of his candy muchies at the office! Yes, I do like the 'attitude enhancers" & my cheating for our Nov/Dec WDW will begin right on the plane with a 'healthful' ;) bloody Mary-
Linda--I will join you in yr no eating after---but mine will be 9 pm. we usually don't sit down to dinner before 8. This is going to be a real toughie for me!
I used to get awful cravings a few days before Tom--usually for chocolate!!
Debra--congrats on DD making her 1st cake! It's not like you could entirely avoid tasting it! :flower: Not without really hurting her feelings--Yes, if I can pick it up at a store, not so difficult to avoid, but if it's a homemade item, watch out!
Belle23--you are doing it! :cool1:
Jen--I love yr enthusiasm! You are one busy gal! :cheer2:
Yes, Maria, more trip reports, please~
this Sunday I go to a potluck for business purposes, & am just hoping it's all run of the mill. Usually, I can manage tiny portions, compliment everyone on their food, then get the heck out of there--just too tempting for me to linger. at the end of the month, I have 2 functions to do food for & a small dinner party--yikes!
Now, on to some stair stepping!

Jean

Hi Everyone!
Just wanted to let you know that we are taking the kids to Indianapolis tomorrow, so I probably won't be online until Sunday or maybe even Monday. We will be eating out all weekend, and I am SO hoping I don't blow it. I want to make good choices, but just like with homemade stuff, I have a hard time at restaurants since we don't eat out that often (too expensive). I am going to try to be good.

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

OH! I tried a couple new low calorie snacks that I really like.

1. The Nabisco's 100 Calorie bag of Peanut Butter Cookie Crisps. This is a new snack added to their line of 100 calorie bags, so just check where they have the other Nabisco's 100 Calorie bags (I love those 100 calorie bag snacks!)

2. Philly Swirl Sugar Free Swirl Stick (10 calories each--the box has 4 flavors: Cotton Candy, Hurricane, Orange Cream, and Paradise Punch). I found these at Meijers (Walmart didn't have the sugar free ones). They are good!

Talk to everyone when I get back!
Debra

Good morning fellow losers.

I finally did it. I am at a weight I haven't seen in 15 years. The scale has said 169   for the last 2 days. I never thought I would actually be under 170 again.

Just home for the weekend. Heading back to Long Island this afternoon. I am getting better about eating on the road. Now all I have to do is take time out to exercise. I take work from here so I work about another 4 hours each night at the hotel.

Since they have hired a full time accounting supervisor, I hope to not spend as much time on the road. Since March 16th, I have spent 17 weeks down on Long Island. No wonder it feels like I am never home.

I have to get one of my upstate client ready for their audit. The auditors are coming in Oct 24 but I still have a lot to do to be ready. Going to WDW from Oct 7 - 11, will make my job a little tougher but hopefully I will come back from WDW refreshed and ready to dig in and get the project finished. A little mental R&R should do the trick.

Linda - how was your weekend?

Jen - your school activities will keep you busy for this year. Keep up the great job with your weight loss.

Maria - more trip reports. Hope your journey to a thinner you is going great.

Debra - it's hard to avoid homemade goodies especially when you aren't the one doing the cooking. Great job with the self control.

I purchased a couple of the new single serving microwave cakes. DD1 said they are really big enough for 2 people and would tast even better warm with a dollop of ice cream (in her case it would probably be ice cream with peanut butter). The molten caramel chocolate cake contains 360 cal per serving. haven't tried it yet but will have to share it with DD2.

Have a great losing week. Being on the road all week and have found if I don't singn up for internet access, I get much more accomplished on the work I take with me.

ONWARD AND DOWNWARD

For me, the scale said 173!! (actually 176, but remember, my scale is off by 3!!) 26 down! Since I didn't know my scale was off at the beginning, I'm kepping it that way (199)!!

Hi~! Congrats Kathy!!!!!!!!!!!! :Pinkbounc :cheer2:

:cheer2: She's movin out
:cheer2: Of the 70's!
:cheer2: She's on a great team, let's hear you shout!
:cheer2: GO Kathy! Go Go Go Kathy!!

I am off for one of my best buddies' birthday parties and a babysitting job in about 45 minutes (party's at 2, job's at 5)

I'll do ANYTHING to get money for WDW...except take on the brat kids again. Their mom doesn't realize I am not guilt-trippable anymore and that I'm learning when I say NO I mean it.

Thanks, Jean!!

I had to go to a JV game yesterday (I have to attend 3 to stay on the squad and keep it basketball) and one of the moms commented on how good I looked! My mom was doing concession stand with the other cheer-moms and one of the Varsity's moms was telling about how much spirit and enthusiasm and what a good cheerleader I was!!!!!! Can we say Confidence Booster! I did end up cheering, too! I forgot how good it feels.

Must dash-I still have a present to wrap.

Onward and Downward!!

:( :( :( :( :(

So sad all :( I weighed in today and am the same exact amount as last weekend! UGH!!!! :headache: I'm trying to take a step back and analyze my week. Here is what I have come up with:

1. Eating has been off due to birthday parties on Sunday and last night. I had two meals that are way off of my diet plus cake at both.

2. I had a big Blimpie sandwich on Tuesday before going to my grad class. I should have had a small one or Saladworks.

3. After having sushi Thursday night, I had a small bag of Swedish Fish.

Argh. I was really bad this week. I guess I should look on the bright side of things and recognize that I did not gain anything. I am just feeling down about it. It's like I wasted an entire week of losing so my goal is that much farther away. :guilty:

Oh well...
