I just saw a listing for 150 BWV points on Ebay! So far, it is a good deal.

Just to clarify, when I first saw this, I thought they were selling a ressie, but after looking at it awhile, I realized it was the whole deal. It wasn't a very well put together listing, because I had to search awhile to find it was BWV.

Yep, it's a good deal alright. But at that price, I believe it is doubtful that Disney would not buy that back. And the seller has made no mention of Disney's ROFR, so I think this is a little misleading to potential buyers, in my opinion.

It wouldn't be very clear to someone who wasn't used to DVC. First of all, it mentions the Boardwalk Inn, 2nd it says nothing about the ongoing dues. An unknowing buyer may have a rude surprise. 3rd, it's moot anyway, at that price Disney would surely go ROFR.

Actually with the seller calling it the Boardwalk Inn and having no selling history, I wonder just how legitimate it is.

My First thought was what about ROFR.

I could not imagine purchasing something like this on e-bay without first having some prior knowlegde of the DVC as well as maintanence fees, dues, etc.

I too am sure DVC would not let this past ROFR, but it still has 5 days left, so I am sure it will come up to the right area. I was surprised to see so many bids on it with as sketchy as the information was. I almost wondered if it was a "plant"! It is very vague.

It DOES have maintanence fees listed, but I just now noticed it has a "buy it now" price of $10,000. At $66.66 a point, I am sure DVC would buy it back.

What if the person that wins this auction pays for the points (not knowing about ROFR) and then DVD buys the points?

The seller would get paid twice and the buyer would have to go through Ebay to get their money back! (Good Luck on that one)

I think Escrow would be the only way to go on this one.

Maybe they inherited it. I asked if he had any borrowed points against it, and he said he had to ask. The next day he said no borrowed points and it was an AUgust use year. There is a reserve on it. What is DVC buying back at now?

that there is a little "disclaimer" at the bottom of the page that says something to the effect that this is only expressing an interest in this property, and not an official agreement to purchase, at least this is my take on it.

I doubt it would go through ROFR, anyway - even if it did become an official purchase...even at the buy it now price, it is still less than $65/pt...JMO
