I got an email saying I can book them for $150 a night. I've never stayed at either. Really tempted to. Any reviews? Worth if? For two nights only. I don't need the dining plan.

Yes it is worth it. The location is amazing. That being said you will be charged a $17 per day resort fee, and $15 per day to park. To me it is still very much worth it. Great pool, many dining options, nice resort:thumbsup2

Yea. I knew about the extra fees. I usually stay somewhere for $100 a night. So I dunno about it. But I do get my Star Rewards as well

I love the swan and dolphin... We have stay various times since 92. It has a great location and comfy beds. :)

We grabbed a few nights in March for $178 AAA, and it was a great stay. Location, pools, food court, Shula's, boats to DHS and EPCOT, walking to the BW, excellent queen beds and bedding, even a great view.

Josh, Yes the WDW Swan and Dolphin are by far the best Resorts on property, this is mainly due to the fact they are owned and operated by Starwood and still believe in providing a quality product to its customers. dont get me wrong i love WDW but Disney has become a company that cuts corners to increase profit by any and all means.
You will LOVE it,

WOW that is a great rate for S/D! We've stayed there many many times & you can't beat the location, especially for that price! I've probably stayed there almost a dozen times & never paid ess than $169/night, and usually more around $200/nt. Still its half the cost of the deluxe resorts right next door!

That's a great rate, for a great property. And you can't beat the location, especially for a shorter trip...less time on the buses, more time in the parks!

Stayed at the Dolphin in April for 1 night for the first time before checking into our DVC. It was really nice . The room was spacious and comfortable and the bed was really comfy! You won't be disappointed.

I've never stayed at the Swan or Dolphin because I need Magical Express. Magical Express is not covered if you are staying at one of these properties

Great rate! Even better hotel! For 2 nights try it, you won't be disappointed!

They do tack on a nightly resort fee, which I believe is now $14.

the resort as a whole is 1 of our top 3 in all of Disney. The location is fantastic! Shulas steakhouse for dinner is always on our list. If you have kids & dine at any of the resorts restaurants, the dolphin has camp dolphin for the kids & the first 2 hours is free with your dinner receipt!

True, but here is some information.

We always use ME as well, but we stretched our stay to 12 days, and grabbed 2 rooms at the Dolphin when nothing came thru on the DVC waitlist.

We had 5 and walked out of the Dolphin-they had town cars and vans for $65 plus tip for 5 of us one way, we were at the airport in 25 minutes, which was much nicer than the 3 hours with ME.

We still prefer ME, at least for arrival day-love the bags showing up in the room that night. But if we want to extend again-S&D is high on the list. Also to link stays in the middle we will consider it.

I stayed at the Dolphin at Christmas and loved it.
One note: Bus transportation is available to MK, AK, Downtown Disney, and the water parks. But, the Swan, Dolphin, Yacht, Beach, and Boardwalk Resorts all share the same bus. It took just over 40 minutes from the Dolphin to Downtown Disney.

Epcot and HS are a boat ride or a 15 min walk. At park closing the boat wait time can be a bit long (but so can the bus wait time at park closing) so plan on walking to make it back quicker.

But I say stay there. The rooms are great and so many wonderful restaurants right there. And the Boardwalk at night is worth a trip.
Enjoy!

We love the Dolphin - has the laundry, 24/7 Picabu eatery, closer to the Grotto pool - if you have an AAA card you get 20% of the hotels owned eateries (including the Swan). Join Starwood (parent company of the Swan & Dolphin) and earn points for your stay.

Mini- refrigerator in your room.
Dolphin can fit a family of 5.

Boats to DHS & EPCOT or walk to EPCOT.
Snack, eat, walk along the Boardwalk.
Bus to MK & AK - but not long waits and you will find a seat on the bus.
We have been there Easter weeks and end of June - never had a bus problem.

Grotto pool is 3 acres in length - nice and big. Towels at the cabana.
There is also a kiddie pool, hot tub, lap pool and another pool at the Swan.

Basket Ball courts, sandy beach with a play area for kids on it, tennis courts, walk to Fantasia mini-golf and boat rentals at the BC/YC next door.

No need for a food plan - just budget yourself - we find no difference between the price of the WDW food plans and paying OOP. Sometime OPP is less expensive, especially when we do breakfast in the room.

Dolphin is so worth the money and $150 is a wonderful price. ;)
