My son's school has adopted a family for Christmas and his class has a 15 year old boy. All that is listed on the paper are his sizes for clothes and cologne.

He wears all men's sizes (mediums and 30/32 pants).

I have a 17 year old nephew, but I am not sure if they would like the same kinds of things. He wears mostly Hollister clothes and while I would love to buy him that, I know I can't afford to get much for my money there.

I would like to get him a few clothing items and then I am at a loss as to what else to get since he didn't list anything else.

Any smaller items or stores I should go to? I plan on making a trip to the mall tomorrow.

Thanks!

I have a 15 year old son and he shops at Aeropostale and Old Navy...both have nice reasonably priced clothing. He is also likes the mini remote control helicopters - the ones that charge within minutes. Good luck!!

My DS just turned 16. He usually likes clothes from Aeropostale, and American Eagle. If they are having a sale I can usually do pretty well at those stores. I just found DS a pair of jeans on clearance at Aero for $7.00 Their cologne is smells pretty good and isn't nearly as expensive as Hollister. The clearance section at Hollister usually has shirts for 13.00 or so.

I can sometimes get lucky at Kohls too. Especially for Nike, Adidias and NCAA stuff. His current favorite pair of jeans are from Kohls. Kohls has a lot of "skater" type clothes that my DS is just not into.

Aero also has some nice, affordable fragrances...

That said, even if his sizes SAY medium, in AERO and AE, I'd get Large :thumbsup2

A nice wallet might be a nice thought to carry his license/other cards maybe even with 20 dollars tucked inside.

A backpack would be a good, useful item filled with some school supplies.

If you live in a cold climate-warm socks/gloves/hat/scarf would probably be welcome.

I would also suggest a hoodie of some sort since they are so popular with everyone. I love the ones you can get at Old Navy-affordable and last almost forever.

At that age I would try to go with a basic style. Kids taste vary SOO much. Some like the skate board look etc. Basic jeans and simple t-shirts and hoodies are best. I would look for stores (above mentioned are great) where you can get him more for your money. Maybe a stocking with body wash, tooth brush candy etc. Something fun... a card game or a lower end hand held device, a board game.

guys like: flash lights, batteries, altiods, gift cards, watches, sun glasses, snacks

My almost 14 year old likes clothes from Aero, Hollister and Old Navy and I can usually find some inexpensive things from all those stores! :) He loves to receive a hoodie from anywhere...he has a ton, but loves them all.

I agree about a wallet...most boys that age need somewhere to keep their personal items! :)

Hoodies are awesome....a lot of boys don't wear winter coats anymore, sadly.

Areopostle or Old Navy are more trendy and probably less expensive than Target. Heavier lined ones are nice.

Oh, and school supplies are awesome too....mechanical pencils with refil leads are real cool for the boys to have at school. I sub-teach and notice that the kids are protective of their pencils.

A smaller gym size bag are popular too. The drawstring kind.

Nike socks or similar are usually on sale at TJ Maxx, a belt and wallet are great choices too.

How about PacSun? they sometimes have nice t-shirts on clearance for less than $10 and hoodies for under 20.

TJ Maxx, Target, etc also have cologne, deodorant sets.

Please try to stay away from Axe....again as a sub, its really strong and doesn't work on the 15 yr old girls. LOL

Bath and bodyworks have a nice mens bodywash and body spray that I got recently in their buy 3 get 3 sale plus I had a coupon!:rotfl: I am putting them in dh and ds stockings! Also my ds (13) only wears athletic brands (Nike, Under Armor), from Dicks. I also agree that the guys really like hoodies! I got ds a Nike hoodie from Dicks 1/2 price on black fri! There are some Dick coupons out there now for $10 off a $50 purchase! :rotfl:
