15 and Pregnant.

Thought it was just a Lifetime movie, nope! I need to rant right now. I cant talk to anyone, I just feel like getting it all out here. So.. there's this girl that i could seriously punch right now. she infuriates me so much, bad thing is she's pregnant (10 weeks), another thing she's only fifteen, another, its by my cousin, another he already has a baby from last year, hes about to turn 17, yet another he's in rehab, ohh wait this is where it gets good, he's been in rehab for 13 weeks, yep remember up there when i said she's 10 weeks into her pregnancy? She hatess me!! Likewise for her. She always makes me feel horrible, when I'm around her. She is NOT ready for a child, I feel horrible that this baby will have to go through the things that I know it will go through. UGHH alright I'm done.. for now.

no. there's quite a few teens around here thats either pregnant or just had their babies and none of them has give them up for adoption, or even thought about abortion.

I have a friend who is 16 and has a chance to be pregnant. Her story is different though. She doesn't know if she is or not yet.

I would feel pretty i don't about the girl who you're talking about right now. I would want to punch her too.

i actually have a few friends that have been pregnant since like 14 and they are amazing people.. they made the wrong choices, yes... but that doesnt make them a bad parent.. theyre great with their kids

Yeah I kind of agree here.

Are there any other reasons why you dislike her? Is it just the fact that she is pregnant? Sometimes people make the wrong choices in life, but people learn from their mistakes. Her baby could potentially be the best thing that ever happens to her.

Some teens who decide to keep their children, make great parents and understandably, some don't.

ohh nooo. i dont hate her because she's pregnant, sorry if it came out that way. i've disliked her for a long time, i was just saying I can't really do and say anything because she is pregnant with.. I guess my cousin's baby, but I dont hate her because she's going to have a baby.

And I don't really agree with you. I mean sure it seems like she and you don't have a good relationship. Just because she's mean to you doesn't mean that she's going to be mean to her child. I realized the other day that parents really do love their kids, well most of them anyway. It's because you care for them and the mother went through pain to give birth to that kid. I'm sorry but I really think that teenagers turn out to be much better mothers than anyone ever gives them credit for. They have to balance school and life and their kid's life out when no one should have to. Bad decisions turn out like that.

Someone I know is in that situation and she's really struggling.
We used to be friends but we lost touch.

That girl, my friend, didn't have many friends. She wasn't very nice but I've seen her with her kid and she's just so nice. It's amazing. It's just different.

I don't think she'll be a bad parent, because of me and her not getting along. I don't think she'll be a good parent because of the type of environment she lives in. I know that the mistakes her mother made, which I'm not here to explain all of that, doesn't make who she is, but.. it's when she started to follow in her mothers footsteps. I'm just afraid that she will not be able to take care of this child, as good as she would have if she was a little older.
My cousin, which I hate to say this, but I dont see him sticking around. He didn't with his first girlfriend, whom he got pregnant. He's in rehab, and when he gets out, he may see all the mistakes he's made, and he may want to get out of this town. Which he needs to! I told her that, and she freaked out. I kinda did it for her own good. I don't want her being completely clueless if he does decide this town isn't good for him. Ughh. I dont know.

I can agree with all the above.

There's a girl in a couple of my classes and she's 15. She got pregnant and had her baby in Febuary. She had to go on maternity leave for quite a few weeks. When she got back she had a lot of make-up work. She kept her baby. I asked her the last day of school what she was going to do this summer and she said that she was ,(most importantly to me), going stay home and take care of her baby girl and raise her. I know sometimes pregnant teens makes you wonder how in the world they are going to make it in their teen years having to juggle school and being a parent at the same time. Just because a person makes a mistake doesn't mean that they are completely a bad person. I think the girl in my class will do very well with her daughter. You can't always judge a person by how they act right now with how they will raise their children in the future. Some of them will be great parents and understandably, some won't.

I think that really there's nothing you can do.. and it probably is frustrating to be close to the situation. It doesn't sound like she's really prepared to be a mother, but you never know. There's a girl in my school who got pregnant as a freshman, and her little boy is almost 3, they're both doing very well. She was very wild before her baby, but he seemed to bring her back down to reality; she's a great mom, given her circumstances.

I agree, not the best decisions/choices, but it's not your life, so just keep the baby in your good thoughts and hopefully everything will turn out ok.

i think that all the girls that get pregnant when in their teens are stupid! they don't realise that they are going to have to try and pass their exams and raise a child, it is not fair for the baby.

They may become good parents but if they had waited, got through their exams, they could be even better. They would have more time to spend with their kid and dont have the stress of school.

Plenty of successful people got pregnant got pregnant during their teens, even if they did not end up having the baby, I think Oprah got pregnant when she was 14.

True, but they are still stupid, just because they are successful doesnt change that. If the baby was born then they may not have been successful. Having an abortion can bring guilt, so getting into the situation where you have to decide whether or not to have an abortion, when in your teens, is just stupid. It is way to much pressure for a teenager, with exam and all.

I agree, although i dont believe that putting the baby up for adoption is the best thing to do. When the baby is older they would come asking questions about why their mother gave them up, etc...

The best thing to do is not get into any situation by not getting pregnant young! If you want kids, wait, and then make sure it is really what you want. That way you will have a successful career ( hopefully) and a partner willing to stay by your side and not run as soon as they find out you are pregnant!
