I am not talking about italian charms, although they are lovely but the traditional kind. We will be in Disney World just before Christmas and my bday will be in January. I have always wanted a charm bracelet and thought I might be able to purchase one at Disney...and have my first charm be Cinderella's castle.:goodvibes I was checking out James Avery's site and he has charm bracelets at around $500 and the charms at 100 and up...is Disney comparable? Should I buy the James Avery charm bracelet and get the charms at Disney? Do any of you have pictures of yours?:wizard:

Thanks!

I would suggest buying a plain charm bracelet at home and then getting the charm at Disney. Most of their charms are at least $100.00 or more. Not sure about the price of their bracelets but I am sure you could get one for less money at home then at Disney.

When I bought the large 14K castle a few years ago it was $350. It is really heavy and beautiful and a 3D charm. There is a smaller 3D castle available also. I have gotten 14K charms at Uptown Jewelers on Main St. in MK and at World of Disney in DTD. The charms vary greatly in price depending on the size and weight. Some are flat and some are 3D.

My charm bracelet is a travel scrapbook so I am always on the hunt for gold charms when I am on trips. :cutie:

Enjoy your new bracelet!!!!!

I got my charm bracelet at QVC. :) $150 or so, I think. It's been about 3 years. The 14 kt charms are sold at all of the deluxe resort gift shops too. The Contemporary has some really nice ones. The 3D ones are more expensive, but they look good from all angles. I will be getting only 3D ones from now on. Also, if you have an AP, you get 10% off at the big Disney store in DTD. Be aware that they may not have the same charms as the resorts. At the GF, I found most of the princesses, but no Pooh or Tink. It changes often, but it's worth going to the various resorts. Plus, if you have the charm shipped home, you don't pay tax (if you live out of FL). No one will attach the charms to your bracelet at WDW anyway, so why not ship them home?

Thats a great idea to get it shipped. When I got my first charm there I put it on my necklace and wore it right away. I put it on my bracelet when I got home but I love the idea of saving tax.

Great idea! It will be my bday present if I get it, so we can ship it home (SC) and I can open it for my bday.:goodvibes

I figure the charms are 100 or so? The first one I would like would be Cinderella's castle!

My question was already answered. :rotfl:

At that price I will get the charm and get the bracelet at home. Thank you!
