You know, I don't remember where I read this....why am I so forgetful of that type of thing when I'm pregnant????
Anyway, our first mission field is our family (and that goes for all of us, not just pastors). If we don't dedicate ourselves to this, we open ourselves up to major scrutiny....AND (more importantly) are not fulfilling our roles. This even relates to the Timothy books....pastors/ministers are considered elders (don't know how all denominations work it), but they are called to be the leaders of their families. In the OT, we are told to tell our children God's ways as we go about our daily business.
Anyway, something to think about....I think it was Josh McDowell who I first heard this from, at a conference he spoke at.....
So, I know it's hard to have someone criticize your DH, but try and let it role off your back. Maybe she had a nasty day....pray for her (way way easier for me to type that than for anyone to do that!
