So today Suzie tells me she won't be able to attend the trip in July because her husband hates Disney and doesn't want to go and says he wont pay for the trip either what a jerk (sorry but I like to speck my mind), and doesn’t want her spending money on the trip either. . She was really sad, don’t know why he changed his mind out of the blue. But what I don’t understand is if she want to use money she have saved for this trip and just take the kids what not let her, but he told her no. Isn’t that just crazy. DH think is something behind that. Well moving right along, my friend Joanne wanted to attend the trip but she told me last min but since Suzie and her family canceled I called Joanne and she was on board before I even finished my sentence. So now Joanne will be going with her 2-year-old daughter. Another change is that Gabi's mom doesnt want Gabi to go because she wants to be the first one to take her I offered to pay for half so that she can come and I can spend time at Disney with Gabi, and her but she declined . I really wanted Gabi to go but I do understand where she's coming from. So now we are down to 14 people, which is still a big group. Everyone is still excited.

Just read your post about name calling...what is wrong with someone who hurts other people on purpose...a seriously sick mind. I hope you told everyone who that poster was...I have a few things I would like to "speck" my mind about to them as well. The house is fantastic, and what kind of shmuck changes his mind and then won't even let his wife go w/out him? I would go anyway...and then come home and pack up all my things! No man tells me what to do.

Just wanted to join in this fun pre-trippie! What a great Valentine's Day present.

Years ago, '93 I believe, we went on a trip to WDW that ended up being 18 people all together. We had extended family from NY (us and one brother), Illinois (another brother and his family), aunt and uncle from Scotland and their kids and their families who live in England. We all met in FL for a week. I didn't do all the planning, but did make reservations for 3 meals we ate at WDW. We were all staying off-site at various places. The meals at WDW went fine, but I remember walking into places like TGI Fridays and Ponderosa and them asking 'how many' and me saying '18' as if it were nothing. I thought some of 'em were going to have heart attacks. We had a lot of waits for dinner on those days LOL The trip itself was a blast. Coming from a big family myself, the numbers didn't really phase me

I hope you have a great time on both trips and I can't wait to hear about them!

I was new and I didnt know who to turn to or if someone would even listen to me, but now i know so I'm pretty sure It wont happen again.

He's a total jerk I told her to tell him that I was paying for everything so he wouldnt know she'e spending her money, and you know what that ________________________ (fill in the blanks). He say's NO!!!. what a ______________________________________ (fill in the blank).

I have a very big family 5 sis/5 brothers and my mom has 6 sis and 4 bros, and my father has 8 brothers and 4 sis. We are a very bigggggggg family when we go out to eat any where we know we will be waiting atleast 45 min and up for a table.

It been a rough time seen I last posted. My bestfriend is getting married this year (and I am her maid of honor), well she called me last week and said that she has decided where she wanted to go for her Bachelorette party and she said she want to have it in the Bahamas. You see she was the maid of honor for my wedding and when I said I wanted to go to Vegas she did everything, she even paid for the hotel, and plane ticket for my bridesmaids and myself. So I told her ok what dates she was looking for she said early May cause that when she gets time off because she''s a head nurse. I told her can we do middle May because I was going to Disney In April and I couldn’t go on another trip that soon, she agreed to middle may. Then this when it turns bad, last weekend I was moving a box and my back went out on me, it was the worseeeeeeeeeee feeling in the world I thought I was going to die. I got check out and was giving some painkillers and sent home and was told to rest for a week. I haven’t been able to go to work since then. I talked to my boss and she said that since I took a week off and I won’t be going into work until Wednesday that I had to choose which vacation day I wanted to take. I debated and I chose the dated to Bahamas because my best friend went above and beyond when she was my maid of honor. But I'm still happy because I still get to go to Orlando in July with my friends and family, my back is getting better and I'm going to Disney with my best friend anyways in September so its all good. I called Disney and explained to them what happened and they gave us a full refund. DH is a bit upset because he wanted to go to Disney but he total understands. He said maybe we can do a solo trip some other time. I missed everyone

well that is sad you had to give up Disney. You don't have sick days? You had to give up vacation time because your back went out.
Glad you have July trip so that is good. No lifting boxes in June.

I never been to the bahamas so it should be fun we are taking a cruise there. So we will see how that goes. I would rather go to Disney

That's awful! What a horrid boss you have!! I don't know where you work, but there is no way they could do that where I work! Vacation leave and sick leave are completely different things! Go make a big fuss in your HR department!!!! Good luck!

That whole situation stinks. I hope when you talk to HR they can do something for you. I also agree with her being jealous.

I can definitely understand, though, deciding to go with the bride on her trip. I would do the same thing.
