REcently, first class tickets to Orlando have not been that much more expensive than what I am willing to pay for coach seats. I would love to pay to have the extra room, but our next trip will be with our then 14 month old. Do you see any problems with a 14 month old in first class if we have paid for a seat for her (she will not be on our laps)?

Thanks!

Tara

If she is sleeping it shouldn't be any problem.

Even if she isn't sleeping it shouldn't be a problem. Obviously, you want to be considerate of others around you, but that applies no matter where you sit on the plane IMHO. Bring stuff to keep her calm and occupied and it should be fine for everyone. (Heck, I've seen some adult passengers in first class that should have had a pacifier!)

If you're willing and able to pay for first class tickets, I wouldn't think twice about it.

I flew with my 8 month old in first class one time. Just be prepared for some dirty looks after you take your seat! He flew great and wasn't a problem. Once we landed everyone was so nice-"oh-he's so cute-what a good baby etc. etc". I got a kick out of it-three hours earlier they were ready to boot us off the airplane!

You know what they say "if they cannot take a joke ###### em."

The issue is not what class of service you fly in , but if you are attentive to your child. I have seen tons of children left on there own to kick, scream and be totally disruptive while the parents read a book or watch the movie. If you are going to care for your child, you can pull up the seat next to me. ;)
