14 days left till our trip

suitcases out? Although I wait till 1 week usually
supplies bought?
papers in order?
vacation time arrainged? (yes 1 time I forgot to take off work!)
schedules made?
:)

Well, we're both teachers, so the time off isn't an issue.

I took the suitcases out this morning and have them more-or-less assigned. I still have to figure out who is doing what as a carryon.

All my documents are in my trusty Disney binder, right here by my computer.

Our touring plans are roughed out and printed. I do want to tape them onto some index cards to give them a bit more strength.

And I could always clean my house. Or make up the Trimester/Final exams I'll need for the upcoming school year.

But Disney stuff is so much more fun!

WooHoo  We'll be there in 17 days, staying at POP.

I already have our toiletries packed. I just buy new. It's stuff we need anyway, like new toothbrushes, toothpaste, deo. shampoo/conditioner, soaps. I need to supply 2 bathrooms for 7 people so we have a lot and we share (not toothbrushes!).

Make sure you have your camera and memory cards!

Have fun and maybe we'll see you there!

I only have less than 2 days left and I am just now packing the clothes into the suitcases. I already have been buying things on my list so now I have most things packed and a pad of paper near by to write down what I need to pick-up at Target tonight. I didn't want to pack too early because I didn't want to have to remember what I packed and didn't pack yet.

Im right there with you!!! We have 15 days until we leave!!! I bought my kids new clothes and already have them packed up and ready to go. Some things for me packed. everything else I havent packed yet.

What should I be accomplishing??

Verify you reservations and ADRs with Disney...

Start Packing!

Assemble your own little first aide kit to keep in your room and a pencil case with bandaides, neosporine and, moleskin and some fever reducer to put in your backpack for the parks.

Breath and relax

Ship water from Staples now to your resort so it will be waiting for you upon your arival. Purchase those pre measured juice mix packets to use for the water so you and the kids can keep hydrated. (My dd loves lemonade.)

Battery check for camera.....clear out memory cards.

Relax and breath

Put together the toiletry bag NOW.....it is so easy to forget tose last minute things.

Rain ponchos?

Disney dollars?

Suncreeen ---- do you have enough?

Have fun! :wizard:

We are with you too! 12 days to go!!!!:goodvibes

The best advice I can give you is to relax and breathe, because soon we will both be in post vacation depression!:scared1: :rotfl2:

We get back 12 days before the kids go back to school. During those 12 days, my husband goes back to school, and I'm going into the hospital for surgery. (Otherwise I would be returning to school as well.)

There won't be time for post-vacation-depression; we're hitting the ground running!!!

Good luck with your surgery!:flower3:

We leave in 11 days:cool1:
I am getting my park bag ready. We don't get to Pop until 8 or so at night, so 1 of my carry ons will be my park bag for the next day, ready to go with diapers, wipes, cameras, misting fan, ponchos, suntan lotion wipes, a few snacks, and a change of clothes for DS's. This will be 1 less thing to do that night and if my bags get lost, I can still hit the parks.
I am also packing my 3-1-1 bags and looking to see what I have to buy in smaller sizes still.

Ha! Ha! I was coming on to post something similar!!! :rotfl: We are at the 16 day mark ourselves and it just doesn't seem the least bit real that we'll be there in just over 2 weeks :goodvibes :confused3

The planning for 11 months.... tons of planning.... and now having this permanent indentation in my computer chair from too much time on the Dis.... :rotfl: :rotfl:

I really don't know what to do with myself between now and then. I can't really pack yet as we're still wearing the summer clothes that we'll be bringing. :rotfl: :rotfl:

We have tons of sunblock. I've made arrangements for a cat sitter, mail pick-up, etc...

I suppose I could plan my DD's bday party that we're having 1.5 DAYS after we get back (not my choice-it's DH's family insisting it HAS to be that day because Labor Day weekend is the next weekend following the weekend we return :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: )

I can't wait!!! :yay:  :yay:  :cool1: :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

wow alot of us will be there together it seems like. I have 18 more days to go! Cant wait! have a safe trip:)

Yesterday I bought envelopes so I can make up my Mousekeeping tip envelopes. I also bought some business card size laminating sheets so I can print our ADRs, laminate them, and give one to each adult in our group. We'll be split up in the parks, so this way everyone will know where to be and when.

I got a new memory card for my camera, formatted it, and have it all set to go. I like having a dedicated memory card for just Disney:).

Later today I am going to go through my packing lists. I still have last year's list saved as a Word document, so I can edit it and start assigning stuff to checked luggage or carryon.

13 days!!

Just out of curiosity: what kinds of carryons do people suggest? (Can you tell I haven't flown in a bazillion years, and never with kids???)

We get to MCO at something like 9 am. I figure we'll be at the Poly at about noon-ish. I'm not sure whether we'll hit the pool or the MK. So our carryons will need to have bathing suits and sunblock, as well as a few touring basics, but I'm not sure what else.

Also, I'm thinking of having the kids (and probably me) wear flip flops to make the security clearance go faster. Do you think we can tour for a few hours in the park in flip flops, or should we just wear sneakers?

I am so definitely overhiinking all this stuff!!!

Don't worry, there is no overthinking when it comes to Disney!;)

If getting to resort prior to check-in, make sure you are prepared for the day with your carry-on, just in case you can't get in your room right away.

What helps me is (after making list after list), in the last 2 weeks I start a completely new packing list, fresh, and compare it to my old ones. I usually find that there is one or two things that I have forgotten.

I won't say relax, because you are going to Disney after all!:thumbsup2

***How about a small packet of tissues for the parks, because the tears will come as soon as you walk into the Magic Kingdom! (and Wishes and It's a Small World and well, you get the idea!)***

If you normally wear flip flops daily then you should be fine for the first day in your flops. Especially if you are at the Poly. Much less walking staying there!

I'm stressing about my carryons too. It's my first time flying with DS and plus we will have our laptop and many cameras and ipods. So much stuff!

Phew! I'm glad to see this thread! I'm leaving in 2 weeks too and my DH thinks I'm crazy for panicking "this far out". I guess it's because I've been preparing for this for months and 2 weeks seems like nothing! I have my packing list, but I don't have my touring plans which I'm going to do today. Oh, I know which parks I'll be in what days but I need to do detailed touring plans for each park and print them out. I have been making matching shirts (thanks to the Creative Design board), bought extra memory cards for my camera, and spending way too much time on the DIS boards. I still have to get a cat sitter or kennel, stop our mail, make a hair cut appt. for me, get more tshirts for us, call our ADR's to speak to the chefs about my kids' peanut allergy, and the beat goes on...........
Oh, and about carryons, each of my kids has a children's size rolling luggage and in each, I am putting snacks for the plane, activity books and games, pajamas and a bathing suit.
