I hope that if it is appendicitis, they remove it quickly and easily. I think after she is home safe and sound, a nasty letter to Dr. Depression is in order (send a copy to your state's medical board too).

Now I am livid!!!

Do you have any idea where my DD is right now?

She was sent by AMBULANCE to the ER for a STAT CAT scan.. The doctor at the UCC found a MASS in her abdomen and is concerned that it may be appendicitis !!!!! Her temp is now 102 degrees and she is in SEVERE pain!

Waiting to make arrangements with the in-law's to pick up my DGD from the afterschool program and then I'll be on my way to the hospital..

"Depression" - huh? Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....

This may sound odd but her being in pain is good with appendicitis. When the pain goes away is right before they burst. This gives them time to remove them before they rupture.

I hope she has a speedy recovery.

Glad your DD didn't believe Dr. Depression(love that nickname) and went for a second, and better, opinion. Once she feels better I agree with a PP about sending the information on to both the dr. and the state board.

Oh no....bless her heart! Sending postive thoughts and prayers for your DD that drs can do the proper testing immediately to get to root of probblem and if need be operated asap. I had ER appendectomy when I was 21 so truly feel her pain. Your dear daughter, family and you will be in my heart and prayers. Keep the faith that she's in the best possible care and your baby will be fine. ((hugs)) to your lil DGD.

Really? Have you noticed this raging epidemic of kids with autism, ADD, ADHD, spectrum disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, etc? Yes, there are many kids out there with these disorders, but I believe doctors are still quick to slap a label on people and be done with it.
