Hi everyone,

My wedding is (hopefully) 13 months away. I am doing all my planning from Ireland and I have a scheduled telephone appointment with my SM - Diane Mahoney-Browne nest Thurday.

As I've said previously, Im travelling to Florida in a bid to get as much organised and hopefully out a deposit down and secure our wedding day at the end of April this year:banana:

My question for all you very helpful ladies is at this stage is there anything I could be doing? I've emailed Randy Chapman and Ive arranged to meet him in April, I've organised to meet a priest and I've organised to meet Diane in person in April. I just want to do MORE!!! Any suggestions:confused3

One more thing, (Ive so many many questions!) can anyone recommend a florist for the bridal bouquet etc.... Disney prices seem huge, I'll pay them if I have to because Im sure they'll be fab but if anyone else out there can recommend a florist I'd be really greatful...oh and now I'm thinking, do any of you have any videographer recommendations????

Maggimus, (I hope I spelled that correctly) thank you for all your posting recommending Randy Chapman, I was so worried about the photographer and like everyone trying to "budget" to the whole day and after reading your posts I contacted Randy. My faith has been restored in man kind, he replied to my email almost immediatley with info, prices and recommendations and hes meeting me to discuss further....I cant tell you how many other emails Ive sent to other companies etc in my search to get no reply so thank you so very much:rotfl:

Guys, please keep all the recommendations coming!!

Thank you all so much, and one final thing as I said in previous posts as soon as I meet my catholic priest and he agrees I can share his contact details I will do so immediatey:yay:

Take care,
Lisa :cheer2:

Lisa, I always felt like there was more I could be doing too. I started planning my DFTW at 15 months out. I felt kind of "stuck" for awhile. Time will fly though! I did exactly what you did... booked Randy and Rev. Day asap and met w/ my SM at 10 months out. My SM was Diane too :goodvibes You'll love her, she's so sweet!

As for an outside florist, I know several brides on here have used them. I am not sure of any names though, hopefully someone will jump in here and help you out :)

Hi lisa, i'm from the uk too, i think i might of introduced myself before! We, too are trying to get the costs of things down at the mo, i think it is very possible! I have emailed whimsical way for flowers, afew of the other girls told me about them, and they seem v good and v reasonable, i'm just waiting for them to get back to me. if ou get any tips on things can you please let me know, i'm glad of any info i can get hold of!:surfweb:

:goodvibes

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the replies, I was off work studying all last week and had no internet access.

Im off to Florida in 4 weeks, so at least then I'll get afew things sorted and I'll feel like Im actually doing something then!!!

I just (like everyone else I am sure) want to do more, I feel like I've no control but having spoken to Diane last Thursday I know I have nothing to worry about. At this stage I don't think theres much more I can do. I've set up a meeting with Randy , the Priest and Diane for my trip in April.

I've picked my dress and put a deposit down and I've picked the bridesmaid dresses!

Can anyone recommend anywhere that'll do Disney themed invitations at a reasonable cost?

If I get any info that'll help you guys out in April I'll post immediately on my return!!!:rotfl:

Have you chosen your wedding and reception locations yet? You can arrange to do a site visit when you are there and meeting with Diane. You can go around and look at a few sites to help you visualize it and to make sure that is what you want before you sign your contract. If this is the only time you will be going to Florida for the planning maybe you can schedule a hair and makeup trial with a cosmetologists. There are two that come highly recommended and they are Lisa Pena lisasmagicalweddings.com ( I think I spelled that right) and Anna with Make over majic http://makeovermajic.com/ .
