Well this was more 4th trip to Disney World and also my longest ever. We were there December 1st - 13th.
Trip was amazing. We stayed at Pop Century as always and got building 10. We were blessed with quiet neighbors and no kids in any of the rooms around us. My Mom had to order a scooter for this trip because her knees are bad and she cannot stand for long periods of time without collapsing. Perks of her scooter was we got on the bus first. Takes forever for them to load though and if you have 5 scooters ahead of you buses take forever to come back. At least to Pop Century.
We did lots of autographs and pictures this trip with some special papers my cousin made which all the characters seemed to love. The photopass people and cast members were not happy about it. Just because there are 3 adults in the group doesn't make us any different then any other guest. We heard comments like "they are taking forever" a lot. Heck I have seen groups with kids take longer then us, but I guess because we are adults they thought different about us. Funniest part of the trip is that we met the same Aladdin 3 times! 1st time at MK, then at Epcot, then he was back at Magic Kingdom for the parade our final day (but he wasn't the one doing autographs) and waved very happily at us from the float. Then we went to meet Tiana and Neveen and the first pictures I got with me and my cousin Neveen was way to young. Just a kid! Second time when we went with my Mom he was the very good looking Neveen that we had in December 2009. I was very happy! I recognized many of the characters (cast members) from our past trips in like 2007 and 2009 which I was very happy about. We were in 1900 Park Fare for dinner and my Mom had run to the buffet to get food when Anastasia came to our table. We told her that and Anastasia SCREAMED my Moms name multiple times trying to get her back then she had me take her to the buffet when I found her and she lectured my Mom for not coming when she called. Mom thought she was calling someone else.
Dinners were the worst part of our trip next time we go we are not doing the table service part of the dining plan. We had to wait FOREVER to be seated to eat. Kona was the worst. Their reservation system was down and we arrived at 5:50pm for our dinner and didn't get seated til 7:30pm. What ticked us off is when they started taking people in whose reservations were at 8pm and ignored us. Perk... we got free apatizers but it wasn't worth it because they were horrible. Our waiters/waitresses were all horrid except the one at our Crystal Palace dinner. She was wonderful. The rest hardly came to our table. The one at Coral Reef brought our apatizers AFTER our main course was delivered but didn't make us pay for it since he forgot. Actually worst waitress was the girl at Planet Hollywood on Saturday that held the table next to us hostage and wouldn't let them leave til they got a hold of the resort. The resort they were at had changed their rooms after issuing them key cards and when they went to use them for Planet Hollywood the key wouldn't pay for the food. My Mom got so ticked she went downstairs to the Administrator and got him. He was ticked and went up and told them to let the family leave. The family was so happy to finally get out of there after 40 minutes of waiting.
Only other downside to our trip was it was so darned COLD there. We packed mostly capri's, a couple pairs of jeans and no winter coats. Thankfully I had brought two jackets so Mom had something to wear and my cousin ahd remembered her jacket.
We had fun on this trip but I think next when we go in either January 2012 or September 2012 we are only going for 7 - 9 days. Not 13!
