Our vacation did not start out as plan. My son decided to get sick the morning we left.
We was a pretty sick boy so on our first full day of WDW we had to cancel our first two PSs...one was for the Sci-Fi & the other BIG DISAPPOINTMENT was we had to cancel CRT :( I was so disappointed but my son was too sick to even attempt to make it. That was the one major meal we were looking forward too. We are going down to WDW again in December & I am going to be trying very hard to get PS for it again.

Now where we ate....

50s Prime Time was very good. Our service (which I forgot her name) was very good. My poor son started to have an asthma attack (I think from the heat) & our service was so sweet in making sure everything was alright. After my son calm down he fell asleep, so we then had our lunch. I had the veggie burger & onion rings (which I was a little disappointed) I though they would be onion rings not onion straws....I probably didn't read the discripation too well.
I would give it a B. I think it would have been better if my son didn't have an ashtma attack, that kind of brought our mood down.

Hoop Dee Doo. The show itself was GOOD (very good) but the food was a little less appealing. I had a vegetarian platter & the COOKED carrots were crunchy to the point I would call them raw. The baked potato was good though! My husband had the ribs which he said was good. We all LOVE the strawberry shortcake though ;)
I would give it a C for the food, the show an A

Princess Stroybook in Norway. Excellent!!! Our server was great & the princesses were excellent. The only one that seemed a little rushed was Mulan. But they all give my son a kiss so he walked around the park with lipstick kisses on his face. I would give the Princess Storybook an A :)

DH & I went to California Grill I had the vegetarian platter & everything was excellent. DH had the pork something & he said it was excellent. It was perfect! We were both so full when it was time to leave. I would give California Grill an A+ :)

1900 Park Farie for the Cinderella Supper. The food was an A+++++++......loved the Chilled Strawberry "soup" (wish I had a bowl right now) Everyone ate themselves silly. The characters were wonderful, all but Cinderella, she seemed like she was in a bad mood or something. The Fairy Godmother was so sweet, the mice were great & the Prince was wonderful. I would give the whole place & experience an A+....Cinderella deservces a C at best ;)

Breakfastoraus at AK. It was a wonderful character meal. We had Donald Duck, Goofy, Mickey Mouse & Pluto. It did not seem rushed & Goofy came around at least 2 times to our table. The wait staff was funny & excellent service. The food was nice & plentiful.
I would give it an A

Crystal Palace for lunch. The food was good but we were a little disappointed in the characters. Escpecially in Tigger, he came to our table & quickly took a picture with my son & my son went to turn around to give Tigger a hug & Tigger was already gone. My son was disappointed so we asked our servicer if my son can give Tigger a hug & he got Tigger back over to us. Our service was WONDERFUL. I forgot his name but he was very kind & friendly. Eyeore was the best out of all the characters.
I would give Crystal Palace a B...not bad but would rather do others.

Cape May at the Beach Club for breakfast. This was by far the BEST character breakfast we went too. Our waitress, Dorothy, was SO wonderful!!!! Everything about this place was wonderful, the food, the character interaction, the wait staff. I can not think of one bad thing about Cape May. I highly recommend it! A++++++++ :)

Chef Mickey the character interaction was very good & the food was pretty good too. We had a late breakfast but still plenty left. My only complaint was our waitress. She was not that good. Didn't refill our orange juice glasses & often forgot about us. But minus the wait staff I would give Chef Mickey an A...mainly for the character interaction!

Those were mainly all our sit down places we went too. We did a lot of counter services, like Comic Rays, Peco Bill, etc. We also had our share of Mickey Bars, Popcorn & of course I made sure to try a Dole Whip!!! YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!! And I am not one for Pineapple but those were GOOD

If you have any questions I would be happy to answer them

At the Hoop Dee Doo did they have corn on the cob or something more like mexicorn? Thanks.

I have got to try Cape May for breakfast in December! Everyone who comes back from there just seems to rave. Did you need a PS or did you just walk in? We're staying at the BCV, so may end up there a few times.

Thanks for taking time to share your reviews!

We did have a PS for it but only made it less then 30 days out. I did see people doing walk ups when we were there.
If you can, I would make a stop there. It was such a wonderful experience. I could go on & on about the great service that we got. We are highly thinking of doing it again when we go down in December.
Out of all our character meals it was our favorite :)

Hi jacksonsmom...

Thanx for all the reviews and I am so sorry you missed the Sci Fi and CRT - but a Mom's got to do what a Mom's got to do - glad your little guy felt better after a day or so.

My question is about Cape May - did you see any Blintz at the buffet? (It is a rolled crepe filled with sweet cottage cheese topped with fruit)

I heard from another DIS'er that she had them there.

Thanx

Thanks for the reviews...Sorry to hear your son was sick...But glad to know he got better! :)

Thanks for the reviews! It is a rough thing when kids get sick, my nephew had some sort of stomach virus last year and he threw up at both Chef Mickey's and H&V right before Fantasmic. Luckily guest services gave my sister Fantamic vouchers for another night because they had already had half of their dinner before having to leave.

We stayed at the Beach Club and when our plane was delayed, we called from the airport and got PS for Cape May breakfast the next morning, 1st one of the day as we requested 7:40 I think with no problem. We also ate breakfast and dinner there a couple of times just walking in. Normally first thing, not during rush periods but never had a problem getting in there.

I believe I did see something like those there. I personally didn't try one so I can't remember if it was at Cape May or somewhere else we ate.
I do believe it was at Cape May though. I do remember they had a wonderful fruit bar area....lots of YUMMY & fresh fruits
