@ 120 days - you pick your resort for best rate program - what if ....

We will buy our AP voucher's this November 2005.
Our 120 day mark is Feb 24th, 2006.

We like the WL but would go for the YC or BC if a great rate is available.

If an AP rate comes out for the WL and not YC or BC - and we book the WL...
WHAT IF......
March 1st, 2006 a great rate comes out for the YC or BC.

Then how do I switch ?

Will it cost me one nights stay and $50 to switch resorts ?

Please help - I am so confused with this new program.

It's not that you need to book online on day 120 - it's that you need to book online before 120 days out...so if they become available now you could book now.

Do AP rates come out before the 120 day mark on the AP web-site ?

We have an AAA rate for $279 courtyard booked right now - and would hate to give it up if no AP rate was available.

Just to add to the above post, you can switch your Best Rate reservations at any time and I am pretty sure the $50 change fee does not apply anymore. It would not count as a cancellation since you are just switching resorts.

When Best Rates are available for your dates, at least some rooms at all resorts should be available. So far, the prices have not changed or dropped from Best Rate. We are waiting patiently to see if when the AP code comes out (probably next week) if it's the same, more or less than the Best Rate. I am guessing it will be the same. So, if that is true, look at the price of BC when your discount dates come out and see if you are willing to pay that amount. If you are, book it because it probably won't get any lower.
