My kids were watching the DCL DVD and had seen that the teen clubs were only for 13+, but they really wanted to be able to do those things. They were a little concerned that they would be stuck with the "little kids". Do they ever let the 12 yr olds go into the clubs or should I wait until they are old enough to be in that age group?

My understanding is that if they are within one month of their 13th birthday, they can go to the teen club. My son is 12 (going to be 13 in October). We'll be going on our first cruise on 8/28 and he is happy that he can go to the lab. This will be his last chance, because on a future cruise, he will definitely be with the teens.

Their birthday is in June. So, if we went in May they could go to the teen club? Would they be able to do the lab too?

I think that you can only make one change. If you start out in the Lab for instance, you can request to change to the teen club, but you could not change back to the lab.

Even the kids in the LAB get "Stack Time" early each day. The Stack is teens only from noon on each day.

Do they have activites planned for the teens too or is it just "on your own" all the time?

When ds was 12, he was about 3 months shy of the teen group. He still had a great time in the club (or is that the lab, whichever).

When ds was 13, he loved the Stack. There are activities scheduled. He did some of them, but mostly he hung out with his new group of friends.

On the Magic, some of the activities were

Tribal Challenge-group activity to get to know one another

Nautical Mystery-?????

PS2 challenge

pathfinders-some kind of follow the clues game

Pump it Up-time in the adult exercise room (only 1 hour)

Digi Hunt-????

Gotcha-elimination game through out the game

Hip hop class

Power Lunch

Hidden Mickey challenge

That was from the 1st 3 days.

Hope this helps!

My DD was 12 on our cruise, and reviewed the club activities, and found the non-club stuff more interesting. So no clubs is also a viable option.
