Day 6-- Tuesday 11/4
Today was a scheduled "off day". My aunt and her group were headed for AK. They wanted to squeeze every bit of Disney they could. I, personally, needed a down day. My intentions were to not leave the villa at all. That never works. We decided we needed a few more groceries, and we may as well go out to lunch while we were out. Personally, I love the Ponderosa on 192 near Old Town. So we took the ride there then went further up to Walmart Supercenter. It isn't really all of Ponderosa I love, but they have this really awesome ambrosia. Unlike any other I've had. I could make a whole meal out of it-- I pretty much did. I'll admit it-- I made 3 trips to the buffet for it!! I was really dreading Walmart-- I had heard reports on this board of it being terribly crowded. It wasn't bad-- and the prices definetly couldn't be beat. The gallons of spring water were only 58 cents-- I had picked up 2 the night before at Walgreen's for $1.50 each!!
I was really anxious to get back to the villa-- the pool lounge chairs were calling my name. This was truly one of the greatest things about renting the villa. We paid for pool heating-- so the pool was always at least a nice 84 degrees. Next-- I always could get a lounge chair-- there were 4 at our villa. We could swim whenever we wanted-- morning, noon, or night. And we didn't have to worry about the kids "splashing" strangers and all that stuff. It was sooo relaxing. I could of spent another week in that villa. It was like living in my dream home. The master bedroom closet was as big as my bedroom at home!!
When evening rolled around I brought out the Uno cards. My family is known to get alittle fiesty when playing Uno. Many names are sent around the table. Our favorite is to rat out the person w/ Uno--- "Dad has no Christmas" was a common phrase being chanted!! (meaning he had no red or green cards). One hand can last up to 2 hours-- pretty much because we are all cheating and trying for a glimpse of each others cards. We played until we couldn't keep our eyes open anymore--- off to bed-- to the MK the next day and our last day in Disney parks
