We haven't had APs in years. We are going on a RCCL cruise next month and our flight in the day before arrives at 10am. We were planning on staying in Cocoa Beach, but MK is open till midnight, so now I am thinking we might stay at WDW. The hotel price is kind of a wash (we would probably stay value), but the $100 each price of admission is giving me pause. So, is 12 hours "worth it"?

Worth it is very subjective. Is $100 worth it to you...yes you personally. I don't think I can answer this question for myself never mind answer it for you.
However, I guess, if I wasn't going to make it to Disney for a number of years and I was in the area, I would likely think it was worth it. If I had other trips planned for Disney in the future, i would likely think it was not.

Only you know if it's worth it to you. For me, it would be worth it with a flight landing that early and MK staying open til midnight (roughly $10 an hour). But I agree with the previous post that it would depend on when I was going to get back there next.

This February I was south of Tampa visiting my parents for a long weekend. Even then, because I was 2 hours away, I did a 30 hour WDW trip. Ok, so I had an AP and DVC points, but for me, my "is it worth it?" meant is it worth the 4 hours in the car when I could have gone to the beach or relaxed by the pool, etc...

It was, by the way.

Yeah, so the 12 hours didn't work, so what is a disney fan to do??? Book 2 days post cruise at WDW. :rotfl2: And dh said we just might upgrade to APs once we are there for our fall trip. :thumbsup2

Looks like you made your decision, but I was going to mention you could play it by ear. Wait and see how you feel when you land (and if you land on time) to determine if you feel like doing a theme park. Worst case, you spend the night at Disney and visit the Boardwalk or DTD instead. We stayed at POR post-cruise for one night, didn't visit a park, and just used the pool and went to DTD. Was pretty relaxing!
