We had my parents join us for this dinner so we had four adults and our dd. We enjoy Teppan a lot. We all had sushi as an app. My husband and I had the spicy tuna which was delicious and had a good amount of spicy to it. Not too much but definitely had a good kick to it. My parents had the sampler which was sushi fish on rice and two pieces of California roll. The sushi fish was salmon, tuna and yellowfin I believe. Again it was fresh and they loved it. For dinner my husband and I had the nihonbashi which is chicken and steak. They cooked it perfectly! My mom had chicken and my dad had shrimp which he said was perfect! It came with noodles and veggies all cooked on the grill in front if you. Our chef did a nice show and our dd loved it. We hit her the kids veggie and noodles and I have her some of my chicken. She tried everything and liked most if it! We didn't have dessert as we were too full. We have had the chocolate ginger cake before and its tasty and not too much ginger.
Overall, we like it here. We always leave feeling full but not stuffed to the gills which is nice.

I would love to hear your thoughts on La Hacienda and Via Napoli. Trying to decide if I want to make ADRs at either of those restaurants during my upcoming trip.
TIA!

How was Be Our Guest & Flying Fish??? :)

Be our guest was wonderful. Is it the best food in Disney !??? No but its the best Ts in MK in our opinion. We love Plaza but this is a nice Ts meal. We were seated in the West Wing and it was lovely. The whole place is stunning and they did a great job on it.
For apps I had the French onion soup. It was very tasty and not super salty. They use a good amount of cheese. Keep in mind that it is a vegetable broth and not beef based but to be honest it was delicious. Dh had the meat board which was also yummy. It comes with a loaf of thinly sliced French bread that is warmed and crunchy. Sooooo good. The sliced meats are similar to prosciutto and such you get on an antipasto at an Italian place. They also had a pâté an terrine. Both were delicious and I had never had either. My dh loved this app and I kept stealing bites. It's definitely big enough for two to share. For entrees I had the steak and it was perfection. I ordered it medium rare and it was cooked exactly as ordered! The fries are good but the dipping sauce is incredible. It's a garlic truffle mayo! Yum! Dh had the pork rack chop and it was cooked perfectly, slightly pink in the center and tender as can be. The Mac n cheese was fine that it came with. Nothing amazing but certainly tasty. Our dd had the kids chicken breast and broccoli and macaroni with sauce and cheese. It was all fresh and cooked well. She are a good bit but at 2.5 there was a lot left over. We don't mind that as she got a good dinner and nothing was fried or greasy.
Dh and I also shared a bottle of wine which was a wonderful addition to the meal.
For dessert, I had the lemon meringue cupcake. The meringue was toasted nicely and complimented the lemon cake and lemon filling. It wasn't overpowering at all. Dh had the chocolate cream puff. They are the biggest cream puffs ever! It was tasty and the chocolate was great. Dd had a strawberry cupcake and this was the best. Great strawberry flavor! To be honest, she could have happily shared with us but we wanted to try it too! Lol
Service was wonderful. She was attentive and friendly and paced our dinner perfectly.
We really liked the meal and left full and happy. We cannot wait to go back in Nov!

Flying fish was also a first for us. We have done many signature meals before we had our dd and this was her first signature. We decided to try a sig with her since my parents were joining us again. That way if she acted up we could all take turns walking with her on the boardwalk and no one would miss dinner completely. Dh and DMom and I all had the tuna tartare and sushi roll. Omg! This was to die for. The flavors complemented each other so nicely and the wasabi foam in the plate allowed you to add spice to it if wanted. Dh and I also shared the cheese plate. I love cheese plates. This is a good one. It came with five cheeses and accompaniments. It was not the best cheese plate we've had but we would order it again. Our dd had the kids fruit skewers with yogurt and it was a hit. If you have a child with a small appetite this could be a meal! There were two skewers with pineapple, whole strawberries, cantaloupe and honeydew on them. The yogurt was in a small bowl probably about 3-4 oz total.

Ddad, DMom and I all had the scallops over the English spring pea risotto. The scallops were cooked perfectly and the risotto was light and fresh. I don't like peas in general but I decided to get it anyway and I was not disappointed. Dh got the steak and potato wrapped snapper combo and I was a little jealous. Lol. He said the steak was tender and melt in the mouth delicious. The snapper was very good and the potato wrapper added a nice crunch to the fish. Our dd had the kids baked Florida coast fish sticks with steamed veggies. She usually loves fish but after three bites she decided she didn't care for it. Our waiter told us later on that the kids fish is snapper left over from when they filet the snapper for the adult entrees. Oh also, he told us all the fish and seafood is two days old or less so its always fresh.

Dh and I shared a bottle of Pinot Grigio and my folks shared a half bottle of Chardonnay.

For dessert dh and I shared the banana Napoleon and it was a nice spin on a traditional Napoleon. My parents were too full for dessert. Dd also didnt want anything for dessert.
Curly was our server and he did a great job.
We will go back to flying fish but not every trip as we go to wdw every six months. It won't replace CG for us but I can see it showing up every 3rd trip or so.
