I have 12 and 14 year old boys. They are big eaters (growing fast!) and like the selection that the buffets offer. We are considering CM (dinner) and Restaurantosaurus (breakfast), along with some other restaurants. They will probably try to ignore the characters if they see them, but they still want to eat at these restaurants (ate at Rest. when they were 9 & 11).

Do you think they will feel out of place (too old?) They are tall and look more like 14 & 16 year olds.

HI

Well I can only vouch that my sixteen year old son thoroughly enjoyed his breakfast here two weeks ago. The food selection was great (buffets are his fave anyway) and he was not the slightest bit embarassed by the characters even though he was probably the tallest "kid" there!!!! He is a Goofy and Donald fan anyway and got his pic taken with all of them plus Mickey and one other (Pluto I think?!!!).

Enjoy!

These restaurants are geared to children of all ages. They won't be the only teens there. They'll enjoy the food and probably get a kick out of the characters. Go and enjoy yourself..

They defintely won't be out of place, but you may want to try some different buffets.

Boma's at AKL is great for breakfast (and I've heard it's fabulous for dinner).
I've read nothing but great things about Fresh in the Swan/Dolphin complex.
Hollywood and Vine in MGM isn't fantastic, but everyone in our family definitely gets their money's worth and plus you can order a Fantasmic dinner package.

Just a few options, but what you've got in mind is great, too.

Our family now consists of Mom, Dad, me (24 - going on these trips as long as they'll have me :p ), and two brothers (16 and 18). The only thing that bothers us at Chef Mickey's is the loud twirl your napkin over your head thing ("CELEBRATE WITH MICKEY MOUSE!"), but we still visit Chef Mickey's every other trip or so.

I have 12 and just-turned-15 y/o boys and we just had breakfast at Donald's last month. My guys are also tall for their ages, but they weren't the tallest teens there. They still enjoy meeting the characters (they get that from their mom and dad!) so that wasn't an issue for us, but I saw several teens who didn't seem to be interested in meeting characters and were still getting their money's worth from the buffet!

My sons 13 and 15 enjoy Chef Mickeys and the other Buffets. They need the Buffets to keep them going. They still let me take their pictures with the characters. I love this since when we are home they are too cool for anything like that. {lol}:sunny:

With 3 teen ds we also do a buffet as our one good meal of the day to help there never ending quest for food. At Easter our 6 foot 16 yo ds didnt mind taking a picture with mickey at dinner and the food didnt hurt either. The 14 yo kept saying there was nothing good for him to eat, sigh, sigh, The just about 13 yo was happy with everything. I know the character breakfasts are cheaper but we do the lunch or dinner instead. I dont want to waste park time. Good luck and have fun.

I'm 19 and I'm going to Chef Mickey's and the Crystal Palace. I think it's going to be a lot of fun. There's no such thing as being too old! I haven't been to WDW yet but I love all of the character breakfasts in Disneyland.
