How many of you will be cruising 12/7-14/2002 and how full do you think the ship will be? Is there any special programming for the holiday season?

I'll be on that cruise and I think the ship will be moderately full, many cabin categories have booked up.

Here are the holiday events for both ships:

* A nearly three-deck-tall tree lighting ceremony in the atrium lobby, where "snow" magically falls

* A Christmas Eve visit from Santa Goofy, with surprises for kids enrolled in children's programming

* International holiday caroling by crew members from around the globe

* Special family time, when families join together to design and decorate their own gingerbread houses

* Classic holiday story time in the atrium hosted by favorite Disney Characters

* Traditional holiday feasts in Disney's three themed dining rooms

* Presentations of Santa Claus 2: The Mrs. Claus and Treasure Planet

* Multiple faith and non-denominational holiday services

* A ship-wide party to ring in 2003 and a New Year's Day tailgate party at ESPN Skybox and Promenade Lounge

Michelle,
We are on the Dec 14-21 Magic Eastern.....some of the things on your list, are those on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (and New Years) only?

Target, yes, the special meals are for the Christmas Eve and Christmas day meals and of course the NYE activities are only on 12/31. :)

Last year we were on the Dec. 1 Eastern Caribbean and it was 2/3 full. There were a lot of Disney employees and DVCers on board. This is the first year for the Western Caribbean and the route is proving very popular so I think there were be more people on board.

It was really fun last year. Michelle's descriptions fit the events. It was fun singing Christmas carols and seeing the Christmas tree lit. There were gingerbread houses and Christmas decorations everywhere. All the chracters were in their holiday's best. There were carols playing on the P.A. system as well.

I really got into the Christmas spirit last year even with 9/11 hanging over our shoulders.

I really needed that Disney-inspired Christmas spirit.

Hey Michelle you forgot one thing... My birthday will be on the cruise-now that is a special event:jester: :jester: :jester:
