Another newbie question... how do we find out what dining rotation we are in? I only see 'late seating' on the DCL site. Can we request a certain rotation? I remember some of you mentioning that Parrot Cay is neat on Pirate night, so I'd kind of like to see it then.

That stinks but I am glad you have a positive attitude and you will get to enjoy 7 days in heaven! :cloud9:
They are laying off at my moms job while we are actually on the ship. They said they will make the announcement on Tuesday. So... I am hoping it does not affect her! :headache: But... if it does, we will just have to get her a few extra strawberry daiquris for the night! :woohoo: So if you see a chubby short blonde woman stumbling around tuesday night being held up by her daughters please just laugh and walk on by! :lmao:

It's taken a LOT of work and is still on going to work on this positive attitude thing ;)

Good luck and happy thoughts to you and your mom and the rest of your family - have a good time, and remember that at least while you're on the ship, there's nothing that can be done, so you might as well enjoy yourself!

And hey, maybe we can have a drink together over this too - especially those free drinks at the Captain's reception :rotfl:

They say that most of the time, you can't find out until you board - there are tickets in your room. I requested PLA for Lumiere's on formal night and AP on semi formal night, and that does put PC on Pirate night - though we're at Palo that night

Your KTTW card should have the rotation on it, but I've heard reports lately that the KTTW card and the dining tickets that are in your room do not match. We're going to be heading to Rockin Bar D when we board to double check our rotation and see if we're in PLA as I requested.

You will find out at the pier what the rotation is. You can request a rotation still, but they have probably starting working on it today so you may be out of luck.

I'll be crossing my fingers for her!

Hey, where, again, is the meeting place at 3pm on Saturday? I sure hope we will be all checked in by then... when we left out of San Diego on our last cruise, we missed the initial Cruise Critic gathering b/c embarkation took so long! :( Luckily they had another gathering the next day... it was great to place faces with the online names.

Taking a break from ironing our summer clothes. My kids tend to take things out of there dressers and if they decide not to wear them they roll it into a ball and stuff it back in.....grrr.

:rolleyes1 I'm sometimes guilty as charged in that department. :rotfl: It mostly happens, when I'm in a hurry to leave. I've been getting the wrinkles out of my clothes for 2 days now.

I'm so excited! Only days away.

My wife just needs to pack her things, be ready to leave and enjoy herself.

My mom (frdeb1999) took this picture on our first cruise. I just edited it abit.

Hi everyone. I just ckecked the DCL website and it looks like prices for our cruise have dropped. For me, our cat 12 went down by about $133.00. Just wanted to let you all know so you can request any appropriate adjustments.

WINOTRACY - if you are out there, I just sent you an email.

Have a great day everyone. See you soon!!!

Don't forget to add in all your options such as prepaid gratuities and REAS package. The price may not be lower.

Sharen, I'm checking it out for you right now.

The price difference seems to be related to the removal of the fuel surcharge. Let's hope for a refund or a cabin credit:worship:

Joy, did you hear if Bolt is going to be in 3D? I know a while ago it was rumored that ours would be the first sailing with 3D.

aloha,

I just remembered something. Friday is Walt Disney's birthday! Kind of neat to think that I'm heading over to the Walt Disney World area on that day. Thank you, Lord, for giving the world such a great man. :worship:

3 Days to WDW for us and 4 Days to Cruise on the Magic!!!!!!!!!
I loved the pictures of your family Princess Disney Gina! I am a POW-WOW (a meeting of Cub Scout and Boy Scout Leaders) person. That stands for "Person of Wit, Wildly Over Weight! I will be wearing a Lime Green (Dis Color) :tink: Tinker Bell Shirt and a Lime Green hat with Jack Skellington's Head on the front and a Mickey Mouse Head:mickeyjum on one of the sides and a MM Icon USA Emblem:earsboy: on the other at the Port Canaveral Terminal. I will DEFINITELY be visible!!!!!! Now, I just have to find our #1 Hidden Mickey:earsboy: ----Joy!!!!!!
I read all the emails since I posted yesterday and they really got me pumped up:cheer2: ! I do ALL the planning of the Disney trips :hmghost: (my DH:hug: is coming over from the dark side to the Disney side---it has taken a while.....). I did, this time, sit him down to reconfirm everything!!!!I told him that was his job so he would contribute to the trip. He says he is going to Exercise, Read, Eat and have a few drinks on the cruise.....I am just HAPPY that we are going to be together with our son (Basil Fox) and my MinLaw. I just wish our second son had wanted to come.....Oh, well, one can't get everything one wants.....
About the rotations. I called Disney Cruise Line:boat: yesterday and asked the same question. We have second seating and the rep said that our profile showed 8:30 seating. He told me the following for the Second Seatings:
8:00 AP, PC, L, AP, PC, L, AP
8:15 PC, L, AP, Pc, L, AP, PC
8:30 L, AP, Pc, L, AP, PC, L
So, if you take the 8:30 one that puts AP for the Formal night (Sunday) and L for the Pirate night on Tuesday. We are going to Palo on Thursday at 6:00 p.m. so we won't be going to PC.
If the First Seating goes by the chart above maybe the 8:00 corresponds with 6:00 and 8:15 corresponds with 6:15 and 8:30 corresponds with 6:30. For those of you veterans does this sound right?
Thanks Joy for the Movies that will be shown. I think I heard (maybe from Basil Fox) that Bolt will be in 3D:happytv: . Maybe I heard that on one of the posts from JOY???
Tomorrow I will try to organize everything for packing. Most of it is laid out or hung on a door frame but I have been trying to put things next to the suitcase and the pile just keeps growing and growing and growing like the Energizer Bunny:dance3: ...... I hope to go with 1 Carry-on, 1 Checked bag and in that Checked bag will be a duffel to use in case I need it on the way back.
Well everyone, the time is coming so fast! 4Days, who would have thought that we are that close????I can't wait to meet all of you:grouphug: .
Have a Magical :wizard::smickey: Tuesday.......Just think, Tuesday night, Wednesday night, Thursday night, Friday night and then on Saturday we all meet up!!!!!!!LD

We leave tomorrow! :scared1: :scared1: My goal was to work just a little yesterday and today and get totally ready to go. Well that didn't happen. I worked far too much yesterday so now I'll be cramming today to get everything done. Haircut, laundry, pay bills plus now my sister needs to borrow a car so we'll drop one off for her (about a 45 minute drive each way) tonight and then figure out what's happening with the upcoming snowstorm :scared1: :scared1: The airport is 1 1/2 hours drive away and our flight leaves at 8 am. Normally this is fine but last night the weather channel put the storm starting here at 11 pm tonight :scared1: :scared1: Just looked at my list and thought only a couple things were missing, but it seems I missed a few more things packing :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: Am I stressed yet :confused3 :headache: :headache:

First dining rotations follow the second, but the first early dining is 5:30, then 5:45 and 6:00. They allow 2 1/2 hours per seating for everyone to eat and then clean up and turn around the restaurant for the late bunch.

We are supposed to premiere Bolt in 3D on our sailing.

Ok, maybe I don't feel so bad? But then you do have extra help to carry it with five people! ;)

I'm trying to figure out the shoe situation...one white heels, one black heels, one silver heels? one flat dress sandal, one pair of strappy Tevas, one pair of thong Tevas, two pair of thong Crocs...is that enough??

And then getting frustrated because I didn't lose as much weight as I planned, so I have to unpack a couple things.

And then also figuring out what to do for dinner on Friday night...we had Grills at the port planned, but now it's supposed to be in the 40s/50s, so I'm thinking we may not want to eat outside.

And I'm sad that we'll be missing out on the Radisson pool now :(

Argh, running around like crazy! And DH is sitting serenely on the sidelines saying, "whatever you want dear."

Take your vitamins and eat healthy and drink plenty of water, everyone! I'm off to drink down an Emergen'C packet.

Forever....I have 7 to 8 pairs of shoes slated at this moment. Too much?

LOL... well, my tendency to plan trips has arisen over the dissatisfaction with previous trips where we all sit around and say 'well, what do you want to do today, I don't know, what do you want to do today'... and then half the day is gone before any decisions are made. Not to mention that we, at that point, over pay b/c we don't know the options. Still, I'd like a little input from my husband if I can narrow it down for him to a few options! (or in this case, my mom, who is coming with me on this cruise... come on, don't just say anything is fine... help me decide!)

Thanks for the weather update... I didn't think about it being chilly there on embarkation day. I'm from the San Diego area, so I get cold at anything below 70. ;) Oh I'm such a wimp.

Carol

Carol it is 29° right now in Michigan...We are freezing
