Day room booked at the Hyatt - CHECK!
There is a Coral World excursion but we are going to get over there on our own. The DCL excursion is Coral World only and does not include the sea lion swim. www.coralworldvi.com
Not sure if any of you guys listen to the DIS Unplugged, but the podcast team is going to participate in Mousefest this year (Ref. the lastest podcast) and the Mega Mouse Meet is the day we get back into PC. I know my family plans to head on over there straight from the boat. Wondering if anyone else is planning on being there.
63 Days!
Just read this on another thread -- looks like the kids club age ranges are changing slightly:
On the Disney Magic, the children's programming will be structured differently. Disney's Oceaneer Club will accommodate ages 3-7. Disney's Oceaneer Lab will be for the 8-10 years of age group. The Ocean Quest area of the ship will be the new home for ages 11-13.
Children who are registered in these areas will find an array of fun and exciting activities to participate in with other children throughout the cruise. The areas are generally open from 9:00 AM - midnight each day, except on day of embarkation, and are supervised by our trained counselors.
To see a sample of activities offered in these areas, please visit our website at www.disneycruise.com > Onboard > Activities > Oceaneer Club/Oceaneer Lab. Please remember this is just a sample list. Once on the ship, please make sure to check your Personal Navigator for specific activities being offered for the different age groups.
Doesn't really apply to us but those of you with those "tweens" will probably need to take a closer look.
It applies to us and my dd isn't going to be thrilled. Although I have contacted DCL to see if she may still be able to do the lab as they had told me she could earlier. She just isn't into the "hanging out" thing as they seem to do alot of in OQ....so we will see.
Thanks for all the update list Joy!!![]()
I don't mind my 11 having to go to Ocean Quest if they have things planned for them to do and not just sit there. I know they have games and such but it is also open to everyone I believe so will they be able to play the games when there or have to wait it out with everyone![]()
And it better be a sign in and us getting them out thing. I don't want mine wandering the ship on his own. He would love that though and have more ice cream and junk in him to make him sick by the end of the day.
If we have a guarenteed room, is it sometime this month they make the assignments? Also a big thanks to Bubbasmom for organizing everything thus far. It is getting close and I am even more excited.

We're using FL Tours on a 3 leg land/sea/airport transfer and I need to check on the rate exactly, but I think it's gone up since we booked it so long ago (due to fuel costs, etc).
They have their rates on their website so you could check it there. Haven't used them before but they come recommended. We used Happy Limo last time and shared a 20 passenger Hummerzine, which was fun but a logistical nightmare with so many people. We asked for a 9 am pickup with a grocery stop and I think we were at the port by 10:30 or so.
Deb,For those of us with tweens....I recieved a email once again assuring me that if the particular area isn't full already and if the counselors agree that kids can most deffinately still drop down into the lab. We had this problem with our first cruise with my older dd's and the teen area and all worked well. So hopefully it will once again happen!![]()

I have a question about when the rooms get assigned for a non Castaway Club cruiser. Will the number be posted on the DCL-My Cruise/Reservation screen? If so, how soon do the rooms get assigned? Also, if you get a room and go on different websites and don't like the assignment can one get reassigned?
Do we get documents from Disney before the cruise for the Cruise Amenities to be ordered to be in their stateroom? Has anyone gotten the Bon Voyage and Birthday packages? If so, did you like them and what were the Door Magnets that they say are included in the packages? Can you get the Magnets from the stores on board if you don't order the packages?
Disney Lady
Thank you for the posts on the rooms and the packages. Do the magnets for the birthday and bon voyage packages have Mickey Mouse and the words "Happy Birthday" and "Bon Voyage"?It might be worth it to get these so that on subsequent cruises I could put them on my Door each time.
Thanks, Escha
