12/6/08 Eastern ~ ***CURRENT ROSTER pg 68, post # 1007!

Everyone regardless of citizenship must go through customs in the morning before getting off in St. Thomas. Maybe Canadians have to meet first to get their passports because we've always had to go to the Walt Disney Theater for this.

Believe me we are up way earlier then U.S citizens for customs. We are still going into another country were you are going into you own so it seems to take longer for non citizens. Do you have passports when on the shipor is that just us?

They take ours and we are given a paper to later retrive them that morning. Don't lose this paper. I don't think we handed them back in though can't remember that part.:confused3

That is why the last two cruises were western no early morning.

There is a Coral World excursion but we are going to get over there on our own. The DCL excursion is Coral World only and does not include the sea lion swim. www.coralworldvi.com

Have you done this before? It looks pretty cool. Dont know if it would be the same for her as dolphins but I am guessing it would be close! And its pretty reasonable! HHHMMMM... :confused3

LATAS, I see that you'll be right next to DH and I! We'll be in 6042.

It looks like a lot of people on deck 6! :)

Joy, thank you for doing this, I love reading all the statistics :)

We were hoping to upgrade at the port but it looks as if I am stuck where I am! Oh well! Who spends much time in the cabin anyway? The ship is almost full! :confused3 I am just excited to go! Oh well... more shopping money!  Anyone want to share their verandah? LOL!

I guess it depends how many you have in your party because with only two I'm seeing availability in every category.

We're hoping to upgrade too! If there's a cat 3 available at a good price, you can have our verandah ;)

:dance3: :dance3: UPGRADE UPGRADE UPGRADE UPGRADE UPGRADE UPGRADE :dance3: :dance3:

I AM HOPING!! I dont want to pay $800-$1000 to upgrade! I guess I will spend alot of time on decks 9 & 10! Who cares? CRUISING IN ABOUT 2 MONTHS!! :yay: :yay:   :cheer2: :cheer2:

Okay, the roll call is up to date... still missing a handful of people -- hopefully they're still on our cruise!

Room cats -- we have:
cat 3 - 2
cat 4 - 3
cat 5 - 2
cat 6 - 8
cat 9 - 5
cat 10 - 2
cat 11 - 3
and 3 that are not listed in a category

I am betting there will be at least a few upgraded (PIXIE DUST!!!!)

Didn't we have someone participating on this board who is booked in the Walt Disney Suite?? Are they one of the ones who haven't responded or did they drop out? I forget.

We'd love to snag another upgrade at the port (got a Cat 3 on our first cruise), but even if we don't we have plenty of room. We've booked 2 connecting Cat 6 rooms for the 4 of us! Figure that way we get the double wide verandah and separate bedrooms without paying the suite price! Gotta love that concierge service though!

With so many looking for upgrades at the port, sounds like we should plan our meetup for 9:30 or 10am on Saturday morning at the port!

I think they don't even open the doors at the port until 10 am... We are planning to leave our resort at 9 am (town car service) and I think we'll make a quick stop for some bottled water.

We can definitely plan for a meetup at check-in...

Can I ask you... how much is the town car costing you? We were wanting to get to the port early but we are staying at the Wilderness Lodge and would not get there til about one. :confused3

We're using FL Tours on a 3 leg land/sea/airport transfer and I need to check on the rate exactly, but I think it's gone up since we booked it so long ago (due to fuel costs, etc).

They have their rates on their website so you could check it there. Haven't used them before but they come recommended. We used Happy Limo last time and shared a 20 passenger Hummerzine, which was fun but a logistical nightmare with so many people. We asked for a 9 am pickup with a grocery stop and I think we were at the port by 10:30 or so.

For those of you with the link to the roster webpage, I updated it with photos last night. I only have a handful though... if you want to share your photo, please email it to me at disneyjoy@gmail.com.

Any other info you want me to compile?

I like this idea! We can get to the port sooner than with the bus! Plus we can go to the grocery! AND its $86 cheaper! HOT! Thanks for the suggestion! I think we are going to do this!

Just read this on another thread -- looks like the kids club age ranges are changing slightly:

On the Disney Magic, the children's programming will be structured differently. Disney's Oceaneer Club will accommodate ages 3-7. Disney's Oceaneer Lab will be for the 8-10 years of age group. The Ocean Quest area of the ship will be the new home for ages 11-13.

Children who are registered in these areas will find an array of fun and exciting activities to participate in with other children throughout the cruise. The areas are generally open from 9:00 AM - midnight each day, except on day of embarkation, and are supervised by our trained counselors.

To see a sample of activities offered in these areas, please visit our website at www.disneycruise.com > Onboard > Activities > Oceaneer Club/Oceaneer Lab. Please remember this is just a sample list. Once on the ship, please make sure to check your Personal Navigator for specific activities being offered for the different age groups.

Doesn't really apply to us but those of you with those "tweens" will probably need to take a closer look.
