Welcome Memouselily!! We are deffinately looking forward to the upcoming cruise!! We have'nt really decided on anything other then parasailing at this point. I have older dd's so it will more then likely be sight seeing and shopping for us. Although my youngest has been talking about wanting to go to Coral World....so that may be an option.

Hey! This will be our second Disney Cruise. I am sooooo excited about going! Just reading all your posts the past couple of days has really got me jazzed. I think I can start booking in a week for my excursions. We have DH and myself, DD 3, DS8, DS10. They are pretty excited about going again as well. MyDH and I have been to St. Thomas, so we thought we would just hang out one of the beaches with the kids. Fun day at CC and for St. Maarten we aren't sure. We haven't been there before, so I know at least us adults will want to do an excursion. Any ideas for us older kids? Thanks everybody! I have to make door magnets for the kids now, they saw them and that is all they are talking about.

I wish I could say we have door magnets and such. Just am not good at that kind of stuff! And just honestly have'nt had any spare time to do anything like that. I love seeing them though....some of the doors are absolutely adorable!

Hello to all the other D Magic Cruisers. It has been a while since I have posted. I am the Disney Lady and Basil Fox is my Dear Son. My husband and his mother are also coming on the cruise. We are all paid up and so EXCITED that we can hardly wait.
I LOVE the Door Magnet that was on the previous page. Is someone going to make up some for us to buy to put on our door? Also, I just found out that Alien Green is the color (from Home Depot--MM Icon--paint chip) for the Dis Board. I went there today and picked up that color and several others.
Is there an official Dis Board Alien Green Tee Shirt? If there is we could identify fellow Dis Boarders.....that would be swell.
When I made final payment last week the DCL lady asked me when my DH and I wanted our birthdays celebrated on board. She said that because they were within 10 days of the cruise (Dec 15 for DH and Dec 18 for me) that there is something done at dinner on the day I picked. I picked Tuesday. I can't wait to see what pixie dust they will do on that night! It was a BIG surprise! That must be why you have to put your Birthdate on the reservations. Anyway, I was most impressed!!!!!
I have been gathering Pirate garb and Tropical Garb for the cruise. My DH, DS and I all have formal wear already so we are set there!
Oh, yes, I also asked about Pin Trading with Crew Members. I had read that the Crew Members don't trade anymore due to health concerns but the DCL lady said that she had NOT heard that, so I am guessing there is Pin Trading to be had. I will bring pins, just in case. Are there any more Pin Traders on this thread?

Thanks Basil Fox! And Disney Lady they do very nice things for celebrations. My DH and I celebrated our 20th anniversary last year while on board and it was very nice. I won't spoil it for you....but you'll be very happy!

Last night, after posting I went on the wdwinfo home page and then clicked on the DCL and then clicked on the photos and spent about an hour looking at all the photos that other people have taken about cruising on the Disney Magic. Talk about getting revvvvvvvved up!!!!!!! It looks like there is plenty of shopping on St. Marteen and St. Thomas. Seems like there are tons of jewelry stores.
The more I looked the more I am looking forward to the cruise! In 3 days we will be under the 3 month mark!
After checking out the photos I read through all the Personal Navigators. Here are some highlights of some things to look forward to (that is if they are still offered--the PNs were from January, 08): Cake Decorating, Towel and Napkin Folding, and Animation Drawing (I did this QUITE extensively at WDW (DHollywood Studios) in April and had a blast! This is one of the unseen gems of WDW!!!!!! Then I saw a Tea with Alice and the Mad Hatter (I might have to bring my MH hat that I got at DLR in January). Add to that the High Tea at Palo (if I can get a reservation on September 22) and I will be a happy camper!
Other things that sounded great were "Who Wants to be a Mouseketeer?", Mickey Mania Game Show and the Pirate Trivia Quest. Some of the Disney "Behind the Scenes Tours" look great, too! Pin Trading and the Live Shows top off my list of things to do. One week is just not going to be enough! Does anyone else feel that way too?
Oh, yes, I forgot all the Pirate fun time! I can't wait to see Mickey repel from the stack and the fireworks!!!!!

Hi Disney Lady!!

I wonder if we could do green bracelets instead of t-shirts? That way they could be worn all week as opposed to the tees just getting worn once (at least my crew seems to only be able to wear something once before it needs to be laundered!). I can look into ordering bracelets if anyone else is interested.

For the magnets, you just print it out yourself on magnet paper or on regular paper and use magnet tape on the back. Magnet paper and tape are typically available at Wal-mart or office supply stores. I'm going to print it, have it laminated and then use magnet tape.

Disney Lady, RE the pin trading... my experience is that they suspend pin trading when they are on high alert for infectious disease. On our last cruise the first 4 days they were on alert so to speak... crew members wearing gloves handled everything at the buffet and drink stations and were holding many of the doors so that you didn't touch anything. Also no pin trading during this time. But on toward the end of the week the risk level was lowered and then we were able to get our own food at the buffet and pin trading was happening again. I have heard of other folks saying that the precautions were in effect during their entire cruise or only for the last few days... it just depends on what's going around.

So I think most likely you'll have some opportunity for pin trading but there is a chance it will not happen.

I am looking for tropical garb as well, I would like to have matching Hawaiian shirts for dh and the boys and a coordinating dress for myself. Is there anyplace you recommend? I also need to get going on formal wear, so much to do!!
