...What every happened to the Flat Mickey idea? I think the grownups should do it too!!...

OK I finally did it, Flat Mickey:mickeyjum is here. Check out his own blog at:
http://adventuresofflatmickey.blogspot.com/

I think he has some more places and people to see here in Juneau but I need someone to send him to. I'll include the directions (log in/pswd, etc.) for the blogspot. Anyone who gets him and wants to gussy up the blog is more than welcome. It is an ever evolving project. Just PM me with your specifics if you want him to visit.

Did it!!!

Got everything we needed, made some last minute things - after a year of thinking we'd do Palo on formal night I switched it to Tuesday night, 7pm. Thanks Gina for the suggestion :D

There are lots of slots open for everything, EXCEPT there's a couple excursions on St Maarten already filled! Or at least, they're not available for one to book. The Lotterie Farm Hidden Forest Tour, and the Shipwreck Cove Snorkel Tour.

I think Loterie Farm is closed right now for some reason as I saw it is currently unavailable for booking on another website as well, and it is no longer listed on DCL's website. The Loterie Farm website mentions they are putting in a new bigger zipline, maybe that is why?

We will do the morning Catamaran! We do this every time we go! It is a blast and the island is GORGEOUS as long as they dont have to go to the alternative location due to waves! I am choosing Tuesday night so we get to do every restaurant twice and Tuesday is the middle!
OMG I am so excited now! :rotfl:  :dance3:

Gina

Gina, is this the Golden Eagle catamanran? If so how is the snorkeling?

I am trying to figure out our excursions; I didn't think it would be this challenging with only 2 ports to deal with!

Interesting, perhaps!

I agree about the challenging aspect - compounding with the fact that a lot of threads I've read here and elsewhere say that it's not worth heading to St John if there's more than 3 ships in port - I think we'll have 5?

To be honest in the end I just want to be a beach bum...give me a beach bar, a fruity drink, the sun, my husband... I'll be happy.

We just made our balance payment.... We're CC members, so we can book shore tours, etc, in a week or so!

Anyone know how to find what movies are showing on board?

To be honest, I wouldnt go for the snorkelling! The fish are just kind of bland and the crewmen only get them there by feeding them. BUT... the catamaran ride is SO FUN and the private island is beautiful! Not to mention the rum punch! Forget the fish... more punch please!

We are going to do the St. John excursion I think on St. Thomas. But the catamaran is a must for us!

Happy searching! :dance3:

I do believe the only way for you to find out what movies are on board is to find someone who just got off the ship and have them tell you. Even now would be too soon because we still have 3 months! Alot of things will come out and change by then!

I know there's a phone number that some people have said you can call a couple weeks before to find out. I'll see if I can find it and edit this post.

888-325-2500

I guess that's the regular DCL number? Apparently you call, ask for a reservation CM, then ask what movies will be playing, up to a week before the cruise.

OOH... I learn something new everyday! I will be in need of this number? Anyone? Anyone?

I'm guessing the big headliner movie will be Bolt, which is coming out around Thanksgiving. Last time we were on, it was National Treasure (or maybe the 1st time we were on) and Pirates...

For our shore excursions, I know we'll do Coral World on St. Thomas... not sure about St. Maarten... I think the kids will want to do a beach since we'll be stir crazy from being at sea for 2 days... but I also want to check out shopping and the casinos for DH....

Well we had to cancel this cruise and rebooked for next August. Hope you all have a great cruise!

other ships in port when we're there... from porttime.com

St Maarten 12/09/08
Disney Magic
Liberty of the Seas
6,875 passengers (looks like about a medium load of people compared to the rest of the month)

St Thomas 12/10/08
Carnival Triumph
Eurodam
Mariner of the seas
Noordam
Disney Magic
13,724 passengers (again, this looks about medium for this port compared to the rest of the month)

Heya fellow cruisers,

Any thought to coming up with a common cabin door decoration for the group? An easy way to identify all the DISers in the hallways.

Working on our door decorations today and had the thought.

95 Days

**EDIT** I mean like one piece that everyone can have in addition to all the other decorations you are doing for your families **EDIT**

aloha,
Just paid off our cruise.:cool1::cool1::cool1: I can't wait to do our booking for excursions and Palo. Glad I made our reservation when they first openned up.:banana::banana::banana:The price now is so much higher now than in the beginning.:scared1::scared1:
I it would be nice if someone could design a door magnet for our group. I'm not designer savvy. I would surely would put it on my door.
Have a great day everyone. My thoughts and prayers are with the hurricane victims.

aloha,
hawaiian mickey

I came up with a preliminary design MONTHS ago... I think it's on page 4 or 5 or so... I'll go find it...

Here we go... resurrected from the archives...

Hey! This will be our second Disney Cruise. I am sooooo excited about going! Just reading all your posts the past couple of days has really got me jazzed. I think I can start booking in a week for my excursions. We have DH and myself, DD 3, DS8, DS10. They are pretty excited about going again as well. MyDH and I have been to St. Thomas, so we thought we would just hang out one of the beaches with the kids. Fun day at CC and for St. Maarten we aren't sure. We haven't been there before, so I know at least us adults will want to do an excursion. Any ideas for us older kids? Thanks everybody! I have to make door magnets for the kids now, they saw them and that is all they are talking about.
