12/6/08 Eastern ~ ***CURRENT ROSTER pg 68, post # 1007!

Q5 - Which cabin category (or room # if you requested it) are you staying in? Why did you pick that? What do you love about that location?

Okay, I think that's enough to chew on for awhile... I'll be back in a bit to answer my own questions :) have fun!

Just found this thread-DH and I are on this one-cat6-late dining-looking forward to St Maarten-by this cruise will have cruised 6 times-all DCL.
Always choose midship in all directions due to sea sick issue. Hoping to add couple days before and after at WDW but will wait a little while yet before deciding where. Like late dining-prefer to see early show, take time getting ready for dinner and not rushing back from excursions.
Did I miss any questions?

:rotfl: Joy!!!

You had to use multiple posts so you could be the original pirate:, huh? ;)

Now lets see if I can stretch this out. :)

Q1 - have you cruised before? DCL or some other ship?

Yes. We have cruised with DCL twice. A 4 night on the Wonder in Feb '06 and the Dec '06 double dip Geek cruise. No other cruise lines interest us right now with our kids so little but maybe when they are older we will try out RCCL or Princess. :)

Q2 - Will you be staying at WDW before/after your cruise? and where?

No WDW for us next year. As it is DS will be missing 6 days of school and I don't think he should miss anymore. We will stay in PC the night before the cruise either at Ron Jon or more likely the new Residence Inn (which I guess won't be so new by then, huh? ;)).

And this, my friends, shall be known as the first mini....

Aaaaarggggghhhhhh....

TAKE WHAT YOU CAN!!!!

For you pirate: newbies the correct response to TWYC is GIVE NOTHING BACK!!!

Q3 - Which port are you most looking forward to visiting on this cruise?

Of course it has to be Castaway Cay!!! :) I am going to miss not having that second day this time after being on the double dip.

Other than Castaway I would have to say St. Thomas. The pictures just look so beautiful.

Q4 - Are you early/late dinner seating, and why did you choose that?

Early seating for us. My kids are used to eating fairly early at home (by 6:30 at the latest usually closer to 5:45-6:00) and they seem to do better even on vacations if we try to keep as close to the same meal schedule as possible.

Q5 - Which cabin category (or room # if you requested it) are you staying in? Why did you pick that? What do you love about that location?

2614 - Cat 9 Deck 2

I need light so at least an outside cabin is a requirement. A verandah would be nice and we really considered moving to a Cat 6 but it costs a little over a $1000 more and we can do some excursions, buy pictures, etc.. with that money. Plus I really worry about seasickness since I go so sick on Deck 5.

We were in 2614 on the Wonder and we loved the easy access to the aft elevators. DD was still in the stroller so we used the elevators alot. This time I think it will be nice to just be 2-3 flights of stairs to get to most places other than the pools.

Q6 - (okay, not really a question) - Show me pictures of your family!!!!!

This is us at the sailaway party on our Dec '06 cruise.

We look a bit different now. Of course the kids have both changed quite a bit. DH shaved his beard and I have lost some weight.

Welcome!!!! :wave2:

Hello everybody!

I can't wait to get to know all of you! I will be going on this cruise with my mom. It is a mother/daughter trip! We have not booked yet as we are still debating between a Cat 6 and a Cat 9. I hope to book soon though! We will also be going to WDW for a few days before the cruise where I hope to attend MVMCP. We shall see though. It just feels so far away! I am really excited though. This will be our first cruise and my first trip to the Caribbean. My mom gets to go to Antigua with her friend who owns a timeshare there this November, I am really jealous!

 I am glad you came on over. We have been a pretty quiet group so far but I expect as we get closer and as more people book it will get quite a bit busier.

Joy - When are you going to answer your own questions? ;)

It does seem as though the cruise is very far away, it can't get here soon enough for me! I will come back and post some more about our plans once I get the cruise officially booked!
