12/6/08 Eastern ~ ***CURRENT ROSTER pg 68, post # 1007!

aloha,
24 more days:cool1::cool1::cool1:
Just came from Disneyland today. We had a great time. Really got us into the Disney mood. Not that I really needed it. Hey if we do a double dip or any other ports that would be great. We are willing to do new things. But no hurricane will mess up our trip. Will go with what the winds blow:thumbsup2:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

aloha,

I got a baaaaad feeling about this...

So last month, the Eastern got modified due to Hurricane Omar.

Today, they moved the entire Eastern cruise this week to a double dip Western due to Hurricane Paloma.

Whatever hurricane starts with Q better not mess with MY cruise!

Though I wouldn't mind a double dip, or another visit to Cozumel... or even Nassau for that matter... but a change in itinerary royally messes with my carefully laid out plans for Palo, pirate night, dining rotation, etc. It's a bit freaky to note that the Easterns are the ones affected by hurricanes!

And yes, I know hurricane season officially ends on 11/30... but still....

Well, there aren't any hurricanes that start with the letter "Q" so that's one less issue! ;)

As a Floridian, I'll tell you that we're not worrying in the least. Hurricanes this late in the season are very rare, and Paloma made quite a bit of news down here because of it. So if I'm not worried, you shouldn't either! ;)

The Food and Wine Festival ends today and whew, are we glad to have a break! I can dive headfirst back into tying up cruise last minute things, start packing, and work on holiday plans.

Okay Team. We are sure coming up to the cruise quite fast. I was looking at the Navigator schedule and thinking about some times.

Now this is my first cruise so you veterans let me know if this can be done.

What if we get together for a group shot sometime during the Sail Away Celebration. It doesn't seem like there is much going on about the ship during that time so It could be a good opportunity to get a shot. This would be between 4:30 and 5:15pm

Also a Formal picture would be cool. Could we do that before the "Golden Mickeys" and first Dinner seating? Looking at the schedule it would seem that perhaps 5 to 6pm lends itself for this. Perhaps we could do it in front of the Mickey Statue.

Also I intend to do the Pub Night on Friday. Anyone else interested in that?

I know we will be all busy relaxing, but are there any other meet-ups people think would be fun?

Oh and it has started snowing here in Michigan today. Our first snow of the season.

25 DAYS!
As a former Floridian, I agree that Paloma was an abberation! We don't need one that is named Quarky! I am hoping that all will be well with our cruise! Maybe we just need a little of Tinker Bell's Pixie Dust:tink: .
I think I need a little of the PDpixiedust: as I now (thanks to DH) have an upper respiratory issue. I am going tomorrow to the Doctor to get a script to see if it is Pneumonia! Will let you all know. At least, it is early enough to get over before the cruise! Frdeb1999, are you better? I hope so! My "get up and go" has gotten up and left. I need some :ccat: bounciness--or :tigger: bounciness!
Have a Magical :wizard: Monday. LD

I think both of these will be really difficult. There isn't much else going on during sailaway, but this is a big party that most everyone is participating in.

The photographers on the ship will be taking photos in the Atrium on Golden Mickey night and they always have something going on at the Mickey Statue. They don't like big groups set up there when they are seating in Lumieres.

How many of us have late seating for dinner we do so we see the shows first.

Maybe we can meet up just before the sail away party. Most of us are going to try to be there early anyway but won't leave the late comers out:confused3 .

DH won't be in a tux for formal night just a suit. Haven't decided what I am going to wear yet. I am trying to see what still fits my children to take along.

This and get some of my Christmas shopping done before we go.

HELLO EVERYONE!! I hope you all had a good weekend! 22 days left for us! WOO HOO!! :woohoo: I cant believe it!

We do have late seating and I do not know about the pics because of all that is going on around the ship. BUT... if you tell me when we will be there! I know the atrium before dinner will be off because of all the characters and picture taking going on! How about in front of the theater where the pic of Walt is? I know this will be a busy area but not quite as busy as the atrium. Any thoughts? We could do it at like 5:30 so right before the show and dinner! :confused3

Pixie Dust:tink: is working!!!!!!Just got back from hospital. Bronchitis only.....no pneumonia yet!!!!! Lots of antibiotics should fix me up! I told the Doctor that I had to go see Mickey:mickeyjum and he has only 24 more days to make me better!!!!!! Thanks for all the good thoughts.
We have the second seating for dinner. Just went on our Reservation site and we have a cabin!!!!!! :ccat: It is 8050!!!!!!!Anyone had previous experience with 8050??????It looks to be on the port side in the middle of the ship.
Thanks again to winotracy for helping me have patience! Now I can order my things to have in the cabin!
Have a Magical :wizard: Day. LD

Here is my proposal - anyone else care to chime in?

Embarkation photo - 3:15 pm, either on Deck 10 in front of the funnel or Deck 9 at the Goofy Pool (hopefully the deck will be covering it already).

Formal night photo - 7:45 (this is in between the 2 seatings....) not sure of location. The Walt Disney Theatre will be set up for the Golden Mickey's preshow so that might not be a good area. How busy do you think Deck 5 will be around the atrium, where the kids clubs are? Can we all line up along one side (the port side, I'm thinking) looking out over the railing, and have someone take a photo from the other side, across the atrium? Is this making any sense? I don't have any pics of this angle so I can't demonstrate.

We booked category 12 guarantee and were assigned a cabin this afternoon -- #6303 (category 11). we did better on the last cruise -- up to a category 9 - but hey it's a place to sleep and shower!

24 days!Is anyone in the "teens" before leaving....Hawaii or Alaska? We are getting so close to going that the days will go by and voila.....we will be meeting each other!
The picture schedule sounds great to me!
Congrats to the person who got upgraded. I guess I didn't understand that that could be done automatically. Kind of like winning the lottery!
Have a Magical :smickey: Mickey Day! LD::MinnieMo

I have a shipping notification for the wristbands!!! That was FAST!

So, that means that we should be able to mail them out to you beforehand if you want them. I'll contact those who provided an address -- if you didn't and are interested in receiving them before you leave, PM me and I'll send you my address to send a check or you can paypal me.

Happy Birthday, :cake: Disney Girl!!!!!!!!!!!Loved the birthday wish from your sister. All those characters sure light up a post!!:goodvibes :cool1: :thumbsup2 :cutie:  :wizard: :woohoo::yay: :dance3::flower3: princess::jumping1:
I figured someone was already in the "teens" (Alaskan Mommy). You will be the FIRST to see Mickey:mickeyjum !!!!!! I saw a luggage tag that says "On My Way to See Mickey! Are you going to be able to see the MVMCP? It is AWESOME! Basil Fox and I attended last year and it was worth the extra price just to see the FABULOUS fireworks! The castle looks like Swarski (not spelled right) crystals!
Please say hi to Mickey:earsboy: for me!!!!!
Joy, I want to try to find you at the terminal (you know, Hidden Mickey).
I will work on the Hidden Mickey list today since I am sequestered:sick: here at home.
Have a Magical :wizard: Mickey Day, everyone!!!!!:cheer2: LDprincess:
