12/6/07...Anyone with us?

:cool1: SEVEN MONTHS! :cool1:

Janice, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall is fine and dandy with me. I've also always wanted to go there for a cocktail sometime too. Anyone actually ever had aquivit?

EDITED to add: There may be a TIME conflict with breakfast hours and the Segway tour times. Akershus breakfast is 830-10:10am and lunch is 11:40-2:50P. I know Segway tour times START at 8:30A and I'm off to check if there is more than one tour a day.

MVMCP is TUESDAY 12/4/07.

So, you didn't say how YOU liked Tower of Terror? Will you go again? I LOVE it, but I don't think we'll get Peg on it. :sad2:

Good Morning, Sarah!

Jackie, sent you an email.

Janice, nice to see you here, and your trip sounded mahhvelous!

Sarah, what are you doing on the puter so early??? You don't normally start your day until 10 am, LOL!;)

Fine and dandy. But, I don't feel like going to work....or at least not just yet. Wish I could wander in to the office whenever I felt like it. I'd still give them 8 hours, I just sometimes would prefer my 'at home' time to be in the morning :surfweb:

Janice, Segway tours are 7:45, 8:30, 9, 9:30am and last two hours. Breakfast at Akershus is 8:30-10:10A, lunch starts at 11:40. Now, this information came from the Dis and Allears, so I don't know how 'fresh' it is. I'd kind of prefer breakfast (over lunch) at Akershus and would have no problem going there on a another day. We could even time it so we're done eating right as World Showcase opens up! Now if 10:10 is the time of the last ADR (as opposed to closing time) that might work with the first Segway tour. We'd just have to drag Peg out of bed though! :lmao: (Less of an issue if we end up at Beach Club or Boardwalk Villas.)

hello ladies! we are back from our trip to wdw and soooo ready to start planning the next one! :coffee:

Pat - for some reason, the year I go to see Jiminy on earth day, they put chip-n-dale on the pin! i picked one up for you - linda said i looked like a litlle kid when i saw jiminy for the first time! her favorite "character/princess" is mary poppins and she had the same look when she saw her - the funny thing is linda asked to hold mary's umbrealla and mary said to her, "you may HELP me hold my umbrella. Now, stand up straight! No slouching" im still laughing when i think of that! also, we saw chip-n-dale 3 times while on this trip! we had dinner at liberty town tavern, saw them at some hidden character place and then we had lunch at the garden grill where dale got in trouble! he sat down to join us and stole the silverware off the table next to us - then he made linda and i bang our fork and knife on the table to get the waiters attention - so - the waiter comes over and says to dale, "doesnt that silverware belong on that table?" dale shakes his head no and gestered he was with us - then when he came back around he sat with us again and he brought the map of epcot and he was showing me all his favorite places and then he made me feed him watermellon! :rotfl:

Sarah - are you sitting down? somehow, linda talked me into riding on tower of terror! she had already been on it four times with theresa, but she wanted company after thersa left - so - i said i will stand in line with you but im not sure if i will ride it or not - in front of us in line was a 4 year old boy with his dad - i asked the dad, "is HE going on this?" and he said he was - the father had never been on it but his wife had just gotten off and said that both he and the son would love it - so - then i felt foolish being afraid to get on - when it was our turn to ride, and the elevator operator asked the dad how many he said, "4! we are with them" - i ended up sitting next to the little boy and since both he and the dad were scared out of their wits, i figured i had to be the brave one and talk the boy through it - i was so involved i forgot to be scared! :scared1:

jackie - the day we do the segway tour, what would you think of us doing breakfast at akerush (sp?)? i think that is my favorite breakfast place and it would give linda another shot of holding mary's umbrella! hahaha also, the second seating for meals on the cruise works for us - and we want to sit with all even if dee and win are acting like they dont know us! :3dglasses

finally, would you please clarify which night i want my mvmcp tickets for? i will have to get our annual pass id code so i can order them :santa:

see you all soon!

Your trip sounded like you had a blast. I can relate to the Mary Poppins thing. We had tea with her at DL before they stopped doing it. I loved it! She's such a lady and nothing like me... I think that's why I loved her so much.

I will NOT go on tower of terror, but I am so proud of you. I'd rather fly in a small plane and do negative G's... but no TofT for this gal. Nope, don't think so. I'll watch and scream from down below. I dont like being dropped or shot up - either way I prefer ROLLER COASTERS!

I am all aboard what ever you guys decide as far as breakfast/seway timing. Looks like it might be an issue on the same day though. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!

YIPEE - I'm off today. Relaxing and then going to a movie at the art house - to see Molly Shannon's movie about A year in the Dog - no that's not the name of it. Year of the Dog - that's it.

Ok, everyone have a great day!:yay:

It's true, I don't like to get up early. I enjoy my sleep. But for some reason sleeping till 8 seems like a dream come true - so I shouldn't be that hard to handle.:scared1:  :rolleyes1

peg i'm not riding the tot i'm going to sit out with u while mom and dad ride the tot

Did anybody get their tickets for MVMCP yet? I have been checking on line but the only thing available at the moment is the Night of Joy tickets.:confused3

You can call in and order your tickets, but they will not be available on line till May 15th (ish). Comptuer stuff......:surfweb:

I guess I'd better order ours, eh?

Is this going to be a simliar situation to "calling the plumber"? If so - please let me know and I'll call from work!:rotfl: :goodvibes :lmao: :rotfl2: :yay: :rolleyes1

No, this situation does not require housework before completion.
I did call the oral surgeon and the chiropractor today...both things needing attention before the plumber. I'm getting there.

Peg and Jacki - no LTT diner for me..we did it a few years ago and it was just so time consuming and slow.....I would rather be out enjoying the park and biting a bit of Ed's Turkey Leg....But let's plan a dinner for Sunday Night....and I KNOW I asked Jacki and she posted the late night at Epcot...let me go look...BRB.

Janice - what a sweetie to pick up 'my guys' pin..GREAT and THANKS!!!

Sarah, what do we say about the TOT ???

I prefer to not ride it again....right!

i would prefer we do breakfast too - especially since my favorite part are the hash browns - i actually think i liked all they brought - but the hash browns are really sticking out in my mind - we can do it on a separate day princess:

if we do the segway tour at 9am and it takes 2 hours that would be right when the world showcase opens, right? i think linda would be with peg and want to that one as opposed to the 7:45 :upsidedow

i did enjoy tot of probably would go again - if i dont psyc myself out first - the funny thing was i was in between the little boy and linda - so i told the little boy to figure out where he wanted to hold on - then i turned to linda and asked her where she wanted to hold on - she was sitting there with her hands folded and she looked at me like "I" was nuts! and told me she was all set! :rolleyes2

LOL, too funny about the 'arms'
I actually liked - not loved but liked a lot - TOT and went on it twice - But I LOVED the Rockin' Roller Coaster...WOO Haaaaaaaaa.....and would have gone on a million times...okay, that was an exageration!

What is the 'deal ' with the Segway tour?
Costs? and what day are you thinking of???

Segway tour is $85 (unless it's gone up lately) with a 15% AP or AAA discount. There is a current Disney Visa discount too, but I think that's only through September. The DVC discount may be 20%. The 'tour' is in the mornings and starts at Innovations with 'training'...you actually ride on a course. Then when the leaders are confident everyone gets it, you ride out into Epcot and tour the World Showcase area. I'll copy and past what one of my fellow repo cruisers told me about it. You are pretty much standing for two hours. We haven't discussed a day, but Monday leaps to mind, as we will have a late night Sunday and Tuesday. Though if we do the 9AM it's probably not an issue...there are such things as NAPS!

We are all cool with blowing off the LTT idea and doing a Sunday meet for LeCellier and playing in Epcot and staying for Illuminations, as Hannosmom suggested to me. VERY valid point about wasting 'party time' there.

TOT and RRC are two of my favorites....can't wait to get Peg on Rockn' Rollercoaster! Linda, don't tell Janice I still fell the need to hold on with one hand...my goal will be to ride it 'hands free' :scared1:

The park hours for November should be out within the next week, so I think we'll be safe to use them for our early December trip.

Isn't it funny that the cruise portion of this trip requires virtually no planning....board, eat, relax, enjoy! OK, a spa and/or Palo reservation may need to be arranged and perhaps a sepcial something on CC. AND, of course, meeting our fellow DISers on this cruise! :woohoo:

last night, linda (who worked three hours of overtime and came home very tired) said to me, "lets not plan anything for the cruise part, ok?" and i said, "well, i might get a massage . . . " to which she screamed that she was getting a massage too - she meant no excursions! it so easy to get a rise out of her! :rotfl2:

i love rockin roller coaster - i had to squeeze in one more ride before we left so i suggested we do that single rider line which moved much faster and was still as much fun!

I hope we aren't boring the cruise people who are subscribed to this thread....once we get the 'turf stuff ' ironed out - we are all about the SURF!

I was just looking at the very little bit of info that Disney gives on the tour....maybe Tueasday morning would be a good day to do it - be done around 11ish and then relax/shop/hang out/nap until we go to MVMCP that night.....it can be a little chilly in the morning in December....so a 9 or 9:30 start is good.

That would leave you Park Fanatics with Monday and Wednesday for full park days if you wish......think about it.

And maybe Ed would like to give this a try.....I am not getting the visual of Sarah or Hannosmom balancing on this sucker for 2 hours....I think I can hear Sarah say, "I prefer not to ride this" :rotfl: or "Nooooooooooo"
