12/29/2010 5 night New Years "Dream" of the Magic

I wonder if I'm the only person going alone on this cruise?!?! It is my first time. Maybe I will feel a little sad and lonely NYE Anyway, I need this vacations so desperately

I don't think you will feel lonely at all. There are so many: activites to do, shows to see or you can even sit 'quietly' by the pool and read a book. Don't forget you will have table mates @ dinner to chat with. Plus, you have your 'dis' friends to hang out with!

You will love the cruise! Everything is done for you...no cooking, no cleaning, no laundry for 5 whole days!

Personally, it sounds like heaven-- to be able to have a few days alone. I have 4 kids...I can't remember the last time I had some time alone--probably 17 years ago. Maybe I need to be consider a mom only cruise.

Good Morning Everyone.

It has been a very wet weekend here in Northern California. We were suppose to go to the pumpkin patch on Sunday...but it was pouring down rain... so we didn't go. My youngest is not happy! The weather man say if will clear up and be nice the rest of the week. We will have to go one day after school.

This week on my to-do-list for the cruise is-- work on getting the kids christmas gifts, christmas PJ's & stocking stuffers-- bought & packed in a suitcase for our Christmas cruise. I found some cute Christmas Pajamas at the Disney store on-line with free shipping.

We are still listed as GTY. I keep checking for a room assignment too. Glad to hear I am not the only one how does this.

Do you think we'll see the Dream?

That's why we booked this cruise.

Captain Tom told me on the Tour we did of the Dream in June, that he will be test docking the Dream as follows:

January 1-Castaway Cay
January 2-Nassau
January 3-Castaway Cay
January 4-Port Canaveral

I asked him to make sure the Dream was in the vicinity of the Magic on New Year's Eve so we could see the Dream for fireworks at midnight and on the 1st on our sea day so we could see the Dream docked at Castaway Cay for the first time.

We will see how he does.....I have faith, trust and pixie dust that it will happen!

To all of you in the mid west - it sounds like you are getting the storm that blew thru here over the weekend - stay safe!

We got snow last night - just a dusting, but the wind continues - 30mph sustained - up to 50mph gusts (so far our weather station has registered 42 mph gust today, yesterdays max gust was 55 mph). The sparrows are having problems with the frozen bird bath.

Anyone have big plans for Halloween weekend?

Our oldest DD is celebrating her 17th Birthday!

We still need to decorated the front yard. The kids have been doing a 'grave yard' scene the past few years. It has been raining off and on all week, so we haven't put out the decorations yet.

Tonight the kids are going to carve their pumpkins. Always an interesting task.

Monday, I want to go out and 'hit' the halloween sales. Hoping to get a few more pieces to add to our grave yard...at a great price.
