Would you happen to have any leis left? If you do then we would be interested in 4of them. I took my dh a little while to come around to the idea, so I thought I would check in and see if you have any left.

So sorry you have a horrible cold!! Hope you feel better soon. We are having a heat wave today!! My thermometer reads 80 degrees!!

Samantha had her garage sale this weekend. She posted signs and listed some large items on Craig's list. I couldn't believe how many people came in two days!!

Anything that didn't sell we took to our local Goodwill this afternoon. We still had enough stuff left that it filled the back of our two Suburbans.

She has made $780.75 so far with a few large things people are still interested in seeing.

Just bumping our thread back to the first page. Hope everyone is having a wonderful week!! A few of our fellow cruisers on my WB Panama Canal cruise are in Southern California and we are praying they will not be affected by the fires!!
Here is a picture they posted of a view of the hills from their backyard two days ago!!

That is so scary.. I have lots of family in So. CA. In the Garden Grove , Long Beach, Venice Beach area..
Hopefully the fires will be brought under control naturally soon.. we are praying for all.

I know what you mean. Another one of our DIS members who lives is Murrieta posted this a few hours ago:

Well this is not good...just heard on the news there's a 3,000 acre fire on the grounds of Camp Pendleton near the OC border...if the wind pushes it inland towards us and it joins the DeLuz fire, well, all I can say. Not good!!

Stacy, How are you planning to do gifts? One per stateroom, one per person or what?

I got our flight eons ago. R/T for DH, DD and I was $174.40 on United. I am on the the United email special fare list and snagged those when the fares were first released. I then gave GK's my FF tickets on SWA.

So a few days ago, I get this email from the airline that my flight departure had changed on the return. Instead of 4:00 PM on Saturday, it was now 10:30 AM on Saturday. Oh yeah -- there are no other flights available for using frequent flier miles

Fortunately the very nice people on the elite services line (one of the last bastions of good customer service) took care of things, but instead of a direct flight, I now have a connection -- but for my trouble, some of us are in first class (shhh -- don't tell the kids). Now, how do I decide who flies in first class on the way home ? Not enough seats for all of us, obviously DW, but what do I do with the other two seats???

Please realize us Midwest guys have a hard time breaking out of our shell sometimes... Okay -- I'll PM someone with my address then I can be cool like you.

Just looked up Woodside on the map and I pass by there a couple times a month on my way to SFO (or on my way to Half Moon Bay -- one of my favorite little towns in California).

Half Moon Bay is where a friend of ours moved from Portola Valley back in 1992. We have several other friends who live there but too cloudy for me. DH used to fly me there from San Jose for lunch quite often back in the 1980's. We could just walk from the field to our favorite restaurant.

If you are up for lunch or dinner when you are in San Jose or Cupertino, pm me. If you don't have a car, I would love to take you out for lunch or maybe DH and I could take you for dinner at our favorite restaurant in Woodside, Buck's.

Just found your thread! We will be joining you on the NYE cruise! There will be my husband (Nick), Nick (17), Haley(15), Alexandra(8), Davis(7), my parents (Troy & Sue) and myself (Pam). You've heard the old saying... the cobblers children have no shoes, well this travel agent mom almost didn't have a cruise. I almost waited until too late. But am glad to see that there will be some exciting people on the cruise!!

I usually have a car when I am in town. Next week I know it won't work as I will be flying out on Thursday AM, meeting in the afternoon in San Jose and then taking the red-eye back the same night so I can be home to help chaperone 220 kids for a marching band competition on Friday night.

I'll be in a plane more than I will be in California

But I will definitely keep it in mind. I usually have some free time the evening I fly back.

Welcome!!! Take some time and read this thread, there is lots of info and you will get to "know" us.
I am also traveling with my dd - who will almost be 7 (bday is 2 weeks after cruise) on the cruise - so mabye our girls could hook up!

Noel, i am planning on doing one per room. Depending on how many of us there are, i would love to do one gift per room per day!! That would be great! I started jotting down my gift ideas yesterday, i am looking forward to it! But there are only 3 of us so far --- care to join us???


BTW - don't remember if i told you guys, but MY stateroom is #5514, my inlaws are in #5512, and my sis in law is in #5516
