Tell Tallie Bailey is turning 10 in November so she will know another girl the same age. Aspen is 13 and Spencer will turn 8 on December 28, the day before the cruise.

They were having a blast!! School started for them on July 31, so this is their fall break. They also have two weeks off in Spring.

Jennifer (my DD) also took them to the Charles M. Schulz Museum

Boy - we sure miss those 3 week fall and spring breaks that Melissa's Magnet grade school had - it was always great to go to WDW - especially in Oct during Food and Wine

On our 3 night in June we met up on the top deck during the sail away - had bubbles for the kids - not very easy to talk but it was fun and we sure met some nice people. A great way to start out the cruise.

Personally, i would rather do a meet at mabye an at sea day or something.. only b/c this is our FIRST cruise, and i am sure at the sail away party, we will be still trying to soak it all in,and might be overwhelmed with our family (since there are 9 of us going)that it might be hard for me to concentrate on meeting and chatting with others.. ya know?

Ok, i just ordered them! FYI, if you spend 60.00 you can get free shipping. I just ordered a bunch of rubber ducks for my shop, so i added these on.
I will only need 2 (one for dd and me) my other family i am sure won't wear them, so i should have 10 extra. If anyone wants one, please PM me, with your addy, and when i get them, i will send you one. It said a delivery date of 10/23.

I am going to get the whole family to wear them in the terminal so if we see each other, we can at least chat!!

Just paid off DD's SPH room today. She is going solo as her friend bailed on her. I wanted her to be able to book her shore excursions etc. at the 75 day mark.

Seems to be all quiet here. Maybe the pace will pick up after Monday when the final payment is due!!

Noel, forgive me,but what is a SPH room? (I know, newbie question!! )

I can't wait til Sunday night at midnight.. when we can book our shore excursions.. Even though we are only booking one - LOL the fishing on CC for DH.. Oh, and we are doing the stingray thing on CC too.. and mabye other stuff there too..

Question for you -- when we book shore excursions, does that cost immediately go on to our onboard account? I am just trying to figure how they are going to charge us for excursions.. Do they just get added to the "tab"?
I think i am going to select the "Cash" option for taking care of my bill (onboard acct.), simply to help me keep track of my expenses better. It will all be coming off my debit card, so i want to make sure i don't go nuts. And they said they charge your card whenever you get to $400.. But, we also have a $200 OBC. Which should take care of most/if not all of our excursions.

For our three night cruise a very industrious DIS board member had pins made up that we could order from www.cafepress.com and magnets that said DIS Board Meet and the date of the cruise. But I think the lime green leis are a great idea - Stacey I am going to PM you and have you send me three I will pay for the postage - thanks.

The SPH rooms are the "Secret Port Hole" rooms -- lots of people really like the price for a little nicer view/location. Many people specifically request these rooms.

Your excursions are added to your tab on the ship. So, if you change this when you get onboard, there is no action on your credit card until part of the way through the cruise. Be careful with your debit card, as DCL will charge three times when you are onboard, if it is the same as our crusie last year.

SPH= Secret Port Hole Room. There are certain outside cabins on the ship that have obstructed views (i.e., the anchor) that DCL allows you to book at the inside cabin rate.

There are also some verandah cabins that have a slightly obstructed view that DCL then books at the Navigator verandah rate. These are referred to as SVR--Secret Verandah Rooms

You do not need to give them your charge card number until you check in the day you board and you certainly don't need to give it while making reservation on-line. When you check-in, or right after you are on-board you can go to guest relations and tell them to apply your OBC to the excursions.

BTW, I am in San Diego on business this week. Regretably, I will not have time to go to George's, but I do intend to get my margarita in Old Town.
