Well, the cat or should I say the cruise is out of the bag. I messed up saying Melissa and Mike could see the new National Treasure movie while on vacation on water - I tried to cover it up with saying they could ride the boat to DD from OKW, but of course, Melissa is too smart and figured out we were probably going on a cruise. Just not how long, well, last night she got it out of me - thank goodness she is thrilled with her 16th bday celebration idea.

Everyone have a great weekend - tennis got cancelled today cuz of rain - she has an all day meet about 2 hours from here on Saturday - hopefully the cooler temps will prevail.

Sorry the cat is out of the bag, but am glad to hear she is thrilled. It is not too hot here however, we have many fires going on here in California. one near my Lake house (28,000 acres) in Lake Almanor and one in Morgan Hill (19,000 acres) which south of San Jose so the sky is smoky in both places.

iloveokw -- sorry to hear your secret is spoiled, I am also trying to keep a secret from dd (not about this cruise, but about the one i booked for next sept - the double dip). Who knows if i will make it a year, but fingers crossed...
At least she is happy about it.. that is a very cool 16th bday gift!!!

Hope everyone is having a terrific Saturday!!

We are just watching my nephew Erik Sandie (Number 95) who is a DL for CSU Rams play my DH alma mater UCB on ESPN. His mom wanted us to come for the game in Fort Collins, Colorado but we are leaving in early AM for a conference in Napa so timing wasn't right.

Hello to all my fellow cruisers. My gall bladder surgery went well on Monday. DH and I arrived right on time at 8:45 AM at the hospital. Everything was ready so I was whisked into my room. Since I had filled out all the paperwork before hand things went very smoothly and I did not have to to admissions again.

Next thing I know I was meeting again with the anesthesiologist, Peter who also has a DD the same as our Samantha and my surgeon Dr. Carla Casssani. Peter put a line in my arm and in no time I was fast asleep. When I woke up, surgery was over and I was somewhat groggy. I dozed off and on until about 3:00 PM. The nurse, Paula, brought me some water and cranberry juice to help me wake up.

I was dressed and ready to go by 4:00 PM and home by 4:45 PM. Other than being a bit sore near the incision sites, I am feeling fine, just taking it slow and easy.
