12/29/07 Western - New Year's Eve

Welcome guys!!!! We are a great bunch.. LOL

I am in charge of a Fish Extender Gift Exchange, if you are interested in taking part, please pm me with your cabin #, and i will add you to the list. We have 4 families participating so far.. as it gets closer, i will pm everyone with the total number and our cabin #'s. I have 3 of my gifts down so far.. lol.. it is so much fun!

I can't wait, i am sooo excited.. so much coming up!!

So what page is the info about the Fish Extender on? I tried to look through all of them, but didn't see it.

We haven't gotten our SR numbers yet... we booked last minute so we just got a guarenteed room Cat 6. I'll call and see if they've assigned us one yet. I know we have late seating for dining.

Our family is reallly shy, so I'm hoping that if we can get to know a few people, then perhaps we'll have even more fun on the cruise!

If you aren't familiar with what a FE is, you can view a thread about them here, and let me know if you are interested! :)

Hope your family wasn't affected too much by the fires. I was down in San Diego for USD parent weekend 4 years ago for the last big fire and I remember being very worried.

If you go back to pages 35 and 36, you can see pictures that some of us posted of our families. We are also late seating for dining.

Bailey is excited to know there is at least one other 10 year old girl on the cruise. She loves to sing and dance is a very friendly child.

We will all be wearing our lime green leis and hopefully, our lime green tee shirts so we should be readily recognizable.

Noel

Hey Guys,

The first shipment of lime green T's arrived today. I will begin sewing them this weekend, because I don't want to wait. Our Christmas season began weeks ago, and the closer we get the busier I become. Hope everyone's Halloween was fun and safe. We also have second setting for dinner. I like it a little better, I don't feel as rushed and your daytime isn't cut short getting ready for early dinner. However, I have had some priceless photo's of children falling asleep in their plate after a long day of excursions. I will pm my SR when I receive them.

To everyone new, just pm me your T-shirt size if you would like one.

Pam

I am so excited you got the first shipment of lime green shirts!! Just one more thing that makes the cruise seem closer!!

Seems like quite a few of us are at late seating for dinner. Maybe we can all meet before dinner one night for cocktails in the Walt???

Janie: A couple of years ago our daughter (soon to be 16) did the dolphin swim. We were able to pay a reduced price to be able to stand near her and got some great photos. She loved it!

Maureen: You were lucky to get a room a couple of weeks ago the web site showed the cruise was sold out.

Welcome aboard to both families.

I agree!! It's exciting!! I loved working on FE gifts last weekend, it made it feel so close!! :thumbsup2

I have early dinner though, so have a cocktail for me! :cutie: We wanted early dinner with our dd6 - i don't think she would deal well having a late dinner.. nor would dh! :lmao: But, for our next cruise in Sept.2008, we (dd and i) have the late seating, b/c that's all that was available.

We can't do early dinner as for us 6:00 PM Florida time is 3:00 PM California time. As it is 8:30 PM is only 5:30 PM and most of us don't eat dinner until about 7:00 PM. Maybe you can stop by on the way from dinner and have a quick one before we go to dinner!!

Noel, that's true, i didn't even consider the CA/FL time difference! So, i understand where you are coming from.. My inlaws actually prefer the later seating too.. but being that they are treating us newbies, they are changing for us. :)
And now, a drink after dinner.... THAT sounds do'able!!! :)

Sounds like a plan!! We will have to set some times up as we get closer to the cruise!!

I don't know if I told you guys that GD Bailey whose 10th birthday is November 13 and her mom are going the the Hannah Montana concert on Sunday as her birthday present.

Bailey is soooo excited. I promised her some extra cash for that "extra special" Hannah Montana souvenir!!

Oh! Let me know how it is! Me and dd have tix for Dec.20th in Providence - I was lucky enough to get them via presale, great seats too! We are both excited!!

Well, it was very scary here. Fires burning everywhere and the winds were insane. I guess it was probably like a hurricane but with fire. The Poomacha-Witch fire was the one about 12 miles from us, but with 75 mph winds... how long would it take?? We packed our bags and had them by the door. We were fortunate, but there are so many that weren't and I feel really sorry for them. Whole neighborhoods were wiped out.

Sierra will be so happy to know that she will get to meet Bailey. Sierra loves to sing, dance & act, as she is in a performance group out here.:dance3: They should have plenty in common! I know Sierra loves the Ocean Quest lab.

I'm so excited, I have to read through the threads again so I can get a idea of whos who and what's everyone up to.

So, do people buy them? Or make them? It sounded like I could find them on ebay, but it looks as if we could have fun making one. Does it have to have a certain amount of pockets? Is the idea to put a gift from your home city or something for others (kind of like the olympic pin exchange)?

I will let you know how the Hannah Montanna concert goes. DH and I are going to drop them off and pick them up so they don't have to worry about parking!!

Janie:

I am sure Sierra and Bailey will have a blast!! Singing and dancing are Bailey's favorite things to do. Picture of our whole family is on page 35 and some of the others cruisers are on same page and page 36.

Which cruise are you on in Sept. 2008? We are booked on the Sept 27 double dip first cruise after Magic comes back from drydock. On that cruise we are taking our daughters (25 & 30) and their boyfriends. We've been booked on that cruise since April.

We will have to make a drink list for what everyone likes to drink so we can be sure to have some on hand!!
