Y'all are funny. I wish I knew how many more days it was until I'm sitting in AKL having a drink. :rolleyes1

Hey Kids!:wave2:

TGIF! 42 more days till we head to DFW to catch our flight to Orlando and the Poly:cool1: I can't wait to park my body on the beach at the poly with a frozen concoction in my hand:beach: I can't believe we are getting so close.:hyper:

Thanks for the laugh, Annette!! Love the signs! I'm jealous that you have time to do that!! I taught 21 2nd graders how to create a power-point today - that's the extent of my computer savvy! Thought I might lose my mind before we were done, but they did great - they will know more than me before long!

When do y'all leave, Brenda? I am sure you have said before, but sorry - I can't even make myself count the 42 days tonight! We are leaving 12/20 from DFW, but pretty early in the AM. Just me and the girls - DH and DS are driving out ahead of time. Teacher can't miss the school Christmas party!:santa:

I am wiped out tonight - re-joined the gym and ended up with a trainer.:rolleyes1 I get to go in for my first session with him tomorrow AM. He doesn't know what he's in for - I worked out tonight, then stopped at Sonic on the way home. :rotfl2: In my defense, I have eaten really well all week (tuna, boiled eggs, salad, turkey, blah blah blah) and had a car full of giggly girls. DH and DS got free tickets to the rodeo, so I let the girls have sleepover friends - so takeout was in order! That was the best-tasting hamburger I have had in a long time! :cloud9:

I'm going to bed early tonight. It's been an exhausting week (as if there are weeks that aren't!) but 2 more weeks until Thanksgiving -yeah!

We leave home on the 19th,stay the night at the airport Hyatt, and fly out on the 20th. We should be sipping those drinks at the poly by noon:woohoo:

Powerpoint in second grade? I'm very impressed:worship: I haven't a clue what it IS much less how to do it:rotfl2:

Hey, if I had to give my life over to a trainer tomorrow, I'd have had a burger too:lmao: You are gonna be soooooo hurt'n tomorrow:rotfl:

Today we put up our Christmas lights:scared1: The earliest ever! We did not put out all the deer etc! this year as I was worried someone would jack them while we were away:laughing: It will be nice to enjoy them sooner:santa:

It is just a 20 second script change on some code. Everyone is so busy these days I was trying to throw in a little humour
:confused3

What I meant was, I am jealous you know HOW to do that!! :lmao: I am still impressed...

The girls and I are flying out that morning on American at 9:40. Just wondered if we'd see you! ;) I guess y'all will be in the air by then!! I will be there 2 hours early, since I remember last year's lines at security. That means we have to leave my house by 7:00. Last year it was 4:30 AM, so I am not complaining. I just hate driving to DFW by myself!!

YUP!! It better be worth it! The good news was that he said I didn't need to lose what I thought I should. The bad news is, I was close! :rotfl: Gotta start working it, I guess!

Happy Monday, everyone! Grades are due this week, and I have tons of papers to grade (I procrastinated last week!) so I probably won't be around much...2 more weeks till a whole week off - and Disneyworld!!
:yay: Shari:woohoo:

I hope our neighbors get all their lights up too. I really enjoy them since we don't do them.

Since we won't be home for Christmas we probably won't even do a tree this year. That's just one step we have taken to simplify our Holidays. It's also a lot easier when the kids are older.

Good morning!

We are on the 7:45 am flight. Orginally it was the 6:35 am but the AA cancelled that flight. I just wish I knew which terminal our flight leaves from. I have scoured the DFW airport map, and I swear, AA flights leave from every single terminal:scared1: We are used to OKC airport which is super easy to find your way around. We always show up two hours early, and have an hour and a half to wait at the gate.:rotfl2: Since we don't know our way around DFW we will probably be there three hours early ....either that, or find our terminal the day before, after we check into the airport hotel.

We haven't put up lights in years. No one sees them out here in the country, and while we like the house all decorated, Dale isn't home long enough to do it, and none of the kids want to help. soooo we just stopped.

39 days till we leave home:cheer2:

We will do a tree, simply because we will have an early Christmas with our older kids and the grandchildren. But it will come down before we leave.

Have I mentioned that Midwest cancelled out late morning direct flight to Orlando and now has us leaving Kansas City at 5:45 AM, changing planes in Milwaukee and getting in at noon?

5:45 AM! :scared1: Which means that we have to get to the airport at what... 4:00 AM or something??? So our first day in the parks is pretty much shot!:sad2:

Beware. I found out what gate our flight was leaving the day before so I was all set. There is a number you can call and get it. HOWEVER, our gate was changed THAT morning and we had a 630 am flight. Just be careful....

That is insane Adrianna. We were willing to arrive at the airport at that time, but we don't have little ones.

Thanks Courtney...I think. :lmao: So what you are saying, is call that number that morning before leaving the hotel? Or just arrive early enough to make the change? We had a gate change once before, but it was just the next gate over.

Well, kids, I'm off to Lindsey's first swim meet. She is close to making state time in a couple of her events.:goodvibes

See ya later!

There sure seems to be a lot going on with flights. Ours was changed for the fifth time last week. Our flight leaves at 7:30am so we need to be there at 5:30am and arrives home at 8:45pm...for nowpopcorn::

Ours only changed once...so far,and that was several months ago when the airlines first starting cutting flights. So far, so good, but I am keeping an eye on the airlines website. Can't count on the airline calling you. I found out when I checked my reservation, and had to call them. They had already moved us to the next flight, but didn't bother to let us know.:confused3

 I think we will walk to Florida. :rotfl:

I know I shouldn't say this for fear of the JINX, but once you are driving into DFW, it makes more sense. Not to say I haven't gotten turned around, but it's always been about parking. I am still scared of that place, but I always manage to find the right terminal - and I am severely "directionally challenged", just ask DH!:lmao:

We are doing a tree, of course, but DH had to give up his Clark Griswold days when he developed a herniated disc. I'm too chicken to climb on the roof, so our Christmas decor is all safely on the ground. Christmas tree is pretty important to me, so that will go up as soon as we get back from Thanksgiving. We'll take it down after the trip. I like to enjoy as long as possible! I'm a Christmas nut, though. :santa:

Just realized how quickly this is coming - counting days or weeks still sounds longer, but when I looked and saw one weekend before our Thx. trip, and two more after -and then the cruise - kind of freaked me out! I'm going to have to do some shopping in here somewhere, and those 2 Dec. weekends are DD's Nutcracker ballet performances! Yikes! I have a feeling December will be a whirlwind!
