Me too Jhoanna...there are lots of people who would be thrilled to be in our shoes and be able to go on this trip irregardless of what stateroom they are assigned. And I intend to be one of those happy people!

It looks like my husband and I will be going on this cruise too! I'm so excited!
This will be our 4th Disney cruise and our first Christmas one so I'm looking forward to seeing the ship decorated! We haven't decided about the FE yet but I think it would be fun! And congrats to all who got an upgrade call, I have been waiting patiently!

I was just reading through some of the posts, you guys seem like a fun group!
I'm already planning door magnets, cabin decorations, soon I will be imagining FE gifts! I want to make sure that I have enough time to do them before I join in. My husband brought me my phone early this morning so I could make sure I did not miss my DCL call. But, I too consider myself lucky to be going on this cruise, I never thought I would get to go at this time of year!

Kim, my "s" word is a 4 letter word here in Michigan in December! It's a mild expletive but it ends in w! Last year the last day of school before the holidays was a ......snow day!

Yes, unfortunately I am!!! I did just talk to DH and obviously he did not want to come to my pity party...and his response was to make me laugh...it really worked!

Wouldn't that be awesome though if something like that REALLY DID happen?!

Gosh, I was about to go back to my email to see if there was hidden meaning in it! I'm still shocked about the offer. We were upgraded on our 1st 3 day cruise. The ship must not be too full or they wouldn't be offering upgrades.

Kimberly: You had me going with the Cat 12 to Cat 3. I was like WOW. Yesterday I called to ask if there was anything open to go higher (they offered upg to Cat 9). They said there was nothing. So, I was surprised! I wonder if there is any rhyme or reason on how they give upgrades? Like me for example, I have to go up from 12 to 11 for sure, right.. So, is that why I was selected? And, hey, they made money on it. I wonder....

I just sent a text to my dad, asking if he got a call about an upgrade (we're a Cat 10 with a secret porthole room). He said he hasn't and that I should call DVC. I'm going to check our reservation on the DCL site, first. I'll let you all know if anything changes!

my husband and I are celebrating too - our 10th anniversary. We couldn't take it until this Dec. because of work, so we are doing it now!

Can you tell us what can of upgrade you received? Pretty please?? Can you also tell me when you booked? We didn't book until September, so I think it will be awhile before or even if we are called.

Interesting theory! We got an upgrade call on Monday. I won't get into the whole saga of my issues with booking this cruise, but our reservation was originally booked onboard in October 2007 for another date. I changed that reservation to the 12/19/09 sailing around 8/15/09. So, if they count me as having booked in 2007, I would be near the top of the list if they were calling in order of booking. If they base it off the day I moved it to this actual sailing, then it seems unlikely that I would have received a call Monday. How about the rest of you? When were your reservations made?

We booked like Sept 2nd. and we've already received a call. So, I dont think it is based on when you booked.
