Good Morning cruisers, pirate:

Just here to wish you all a great day.

Mom ended up in ER the other nght so I'm off to the hospital to spend the day with her. The MRI told us that she has some kind of blockage in one of the arteries leading to her brain. We will find out more today after the dye test. In the mean time I'm going to give her a manicure.

Have a great day all.

GarRy...I haven't had a cup of coffee in days. I think I'm in dt's.

cheers all-D

I hope your mom is okay. I will send some pixie dust her way. :wizard: My prayers are with her.

Denise - Sorry to hear about your Mom. Please send me a pm with her address and I will be glad to send her a cheerful card.

Sue

Hi everybody,
Thanks for the pixie dust, must have worked...doc sent her home.
Her corrated arterie is between 90 and 100% blocked but that happened from the stroke 4 years ago. Apparently she was double dosing some meds and was dehydrated. 2 days on the iv will cure that.

Thanks again all and hey what do you know the sun is shining. Our local dam overflowed for the first time since 1999. Woo Hoo

I know what my souvenier will be on the next cruise. A jar of beach sand. It is so nice to run your fingers through. Ahhh la mer.

cheers all, D

hEY gARrY,
Thanks for the well wishes.

What is up with the bottom of your page?

No clouds in sight today. :cheer2: The kids get to go outside.

Here's a question for you all. Why don't builders equip homes with solar? I went to these model homes yesterday and the homes were built with solar panels on the roof tiles, and on a useful trellace in the back. The energy is used by the household and any that isn't is sold to the electric company. Hey a check from them for once would be pretty cool. :smooth:

Just a cosmic ponder. Ciao for now. (ha a rhyme) D

P.S. Lynda you on a cruise right now?

snowing and I get to leave school early! YES!!!!! :cool1: :cheer2: its supposed to snow alot overnight. oh well. i realyl hate to have snow days, but one might be fun. Glad it stoped raining for you out there in CA. My aunt lives out there and got a couple of inches over the past week.

Hmm, they've disabled HMTL coding in the signatures. that's why none of the countdowns are working. Interesting.

Hey, Denise! I'm here...

Nope...No more cruises until May.....I'm snug in the passive solar home I designed and had built 20 years ago....Haven't used the air cond. or heater (dual heat pump system) in YEARS...very economical but a different way of life that's for sure! Have been busy trying to put together some scrapbook albums before I forget what I did last year...so goes the memory!

When's your next? I can't tell with all these counters out of whack...

Ahhh, the evil carotid artery....When my brain exploded a million years ago an angiogram to check blood flow there was high tech..Had several and I lived to tell..
Glad you're Mom is doing better! Yay modern medicine! and Pixie Dust

For us "older" folks:

Dear Diary,

For my fiftieth birthday this year, my wife (the dear) purchased a week of personal training at the local health club for me. Although I am still in great shape since playing on my college football team 30 yrs ago, I decided it would be a good idea to go ahead and give it a try.

Called the club and made my reservation with a personal trainer named Belinda, who identified herself as a 26 yr old aerobics instructor and model for athletic clothing and swim wear. My wife seemed pleased with my enthusiasm to get started! The club encouraged me to keep a diary to chart my progress.

MONDAY: Started my day at 6:00am. Tough to get out of bed, but it was well worth it when I arrived at the health club to find Belinda waiting for me. She was something of a Greek goddess -- with blonde hair, dancing eyes and a dazzling white smile.

Woo Hoo!!!!!

Belinda gave me a tour and showed me the machines. She took my pulse after 5 minutes on the treadmill. She was alarmed that my pulse was so fast, but I attributed it to standing next to her in her Lycra aerobics outfit. I enjoyed watching the skillful way in which she conducted her aerobics class after my workout today.

Very inspiring, Belinda was en

couraging as I did my sit-ups, although my gut was already aching from holding it in the whole time she was around. This is going to be a FANTASTIC week!!

TUESDAY: I drank a whole pot of coffee, but I finally made it out the door. Belinda made me lie on my back and push a heavy iron bar into the air, and then she put weights on it! My legs were a little wobbly on the treadmill, but I made the full mile. Belinda's rewarding smile made it all worthwhile. I feel GREAT!! It's a whole new life for me.

WEDNESDAY: The only way I can brush my teeth is by laying the toothbrush on the counter and moving my mouth back and forth over it. I believe I have a hernia in both pectorals. Driving was OK as long as I didn't try to steer or stop. I parked on top of a GEO in the club parking lot.

Belinda was impatient with me, insisting that my screams bothered other club members. Her voice is a little too perky for early in the morning and when she scolds, she gets this nasally whine that is VERY annoying.

My chest hurt when I got on the treadmill, so Belinda put me on the stair monster. Why the hell would anyone invent a machine to simulate an activity rendered obsolete by elevators? Belinda told me it would help me get in shape and enjoy life. She said some other s#@#@# too.

THURSDAY: Belinda was waiting for me with her vampire-like teeth exposed as her thin, cruel lips were pulled back in a full snarl. I couldn't help being a half an hour late; it took me that long to tie my shoes.

Belinda took me to work out with dumbbells. When she was not looking, I ran and hid in the men's room.. She sent Lars to find me, then, as punishment, put me on the rowing machine -- which I sank.

FRIDAY: I hate that b*%*& Belinda more than any human being has ever hated any other human being in the history of the world. Stupid, skinny, anemic little cheerleader. If there were a part of my body I could move without unbearable pain, I would beat her with it.

Belinda wanted me to work on my triceps. I don't have any triceps. And if you don't want dents in the floor, don't hand me the *&%#(#&**!!@*@ barbells or anything that weighs more than a sandwich.

The treadmill flung me off and I landed on a health and nutrition teacher. Why couldn't it have been someone softer, like the drama coach or the choir director?

SATURDAY: Belinda left a message on my answering machine in her grating, shrilly voice wondering why I did not show up today. Just hearing her made me want to smash the machine with my planner. However, I lacked the strength to even use the TV remote and ended up catching eleven straight hours of the Weather Channel.

SUNDAY: I'm having the Church van pick me up for services today so I can go and thank Heaven that this week is over. I will also pray that next year, my wife, will choose a gift for me that is fun like a root canal or a vasectomy.

Hi everyone! Hope everyone is doing well. I need to pop in more often and I will. So busy with work.
I still keep thinking of all those desserts on the last cruise! Something to look forward to!
I'll check back this weekend. Did the friday night cruise chat once and it was alot of fun!

A very quick pop in to say hello.....we haven't floated away yet. Didn't get the rain that had been predicted for the rest of this week, so I have been back in the office, and meeting all of my previously missed obligations. Advertisers, accountants, bankers, contractors.....at least someone missed me while I've been cooped up for what seems like the entire winter.

Denise...great news about your Mom....prayers and Pixie Dust still flying!!:wizard:

Sue...loved the diary! Too funny. I think I was that guy in a previous life.:guilty:

Hi Lynda! Hi Cary!

And you too, gaRry!! Watch your mailbox......something headed your way...no...not a bomb.

Night! TTYL
