Football Sunday! I have NFL Sunday Ticket and really look forward to the game choices. I am a Panthers fan, but enjoy watching the Steelers and the Chargers. Just got the license plate frame for the Panthers and put it on, all by myself.

Hey Denise, I hope your Dad feels better soon. I understand how it is. My mother had a stroke almost 10 years ago and is very dependent on others. She needs to be fed and dressed and is in a wheelchair. We took her on a three day DCL cruise at the end of June and that was something. She cannot walk or do much herself, though she is mentally all there so it is exhausting taking care of her. I love her dearly but I could never be her full-time caregiver, I would die of exhaustion! My thoughts and prayers are with you both.

No football for us. We tried to get tickets this year and they sold out almost immediately. Everyone around her thinks this is the year the Colts will take the Superbowl. I don't know about that but dd wanted to see a game this year and we just cannot get tickets. Sigh.

Well, it is October. Fall is here, the leaves are changing and falling. And we had landscapers come in and start on our yard. All the bushes that were around the house have been taken out and in the back and on the side they tilled the area and planted grass seed. In front we have new bushes and a lovely edged bed for them all. Soon the topping for that area will be in (hopefully next weekend as there is dirt right now that will be mud if it rains!). We got new lights to edge the driveway so we can see it at night and it is going to look great. It already looks so much better. The old bushes were just planted with no bed so there were lots of weeds and you couldn't always get to them with the weedwacker. This is going to be soooooo much better.

Kat - The landscaping sounds wonderful. I had bushes pulled out and a celtic wall with pavers put in the front of my house. Really looks nice. Now I am getting vinyl siding put on. I have a digital camera but no web site so I can't post pix. Sadly the home improvements are cutting into my cruise money.

gaRry - Sarah, my niece, had friends visiting for that weekend. She is on the basketball team and the season starts the middle of October, the 15th I think. She will have very little spare time with 3 games a week and practise every day. Not sure when she will study? All that to say I will get a meal and perhaps a trip to the grocery store with her, no time to socialize.

It will be fun to get together again! Right Jen and Sam!

Hey....tried to post yesterday and computer froze on me!!

Yep, gaRry...I would be happy with "B"s too....and we KNOW what the kids are capable of! Let me BEAT him when I am also beating MINE!! There should be "smilies" for beating your kids. (Okay, people, only kidding!)

Nothing new to report here. Work...kids....crud....same old same old.
At least we all are healthy!!

23 days to my Princess cruise. Maybe I should think of packing.

I didn't get emails saying there were new posts so I haven't been on

I agree with Stace, not much new here. DD did get stung by a bee on Saturday and we took her to the dr Sunday night because her thumb was REALLY swollen and turning colors. They weren't sure if it was infected or if she might be allergic so gave her antibiotics and steroids. Went back for a follow-up yesterday (she got to miss school yesterday, she was so excited). They think it was both. So now I am waiting to hear if they want to send her to an allergist, give us a prescription for an epi-pen so we have one if she gets stung again, or just have me carry Benadryl everywhere and hope the next time she doesn't have a more violent reaction! Ugh.

DH is supposed to be getting the rocks to finish up our front landscaping today. I am so excited. I want it to be done.

Hi All - gaRry that is a bummer about greGg's grades. At least you have plenty of time before final payment is due.


Kat - That is a scary thought. We carried epi-pens for years, purses, glove compartments, one on every floor of every family members house. My niece is now a healthy almost 20yo. I hope you never need it, we never did!

garry, i could tutor gregg through email. If its math, then just scan his worksheets into the computer. I am serious. You don't have to pay me or anything. I will help him. Let's see, i have finished these maths (calculus, algebra I & II, pre-calc w/ trig, geometry), I have done these literatures (American, British, ancient), i have taken these sciences (Bio, AP Bio, Chemistry, Physics, Astronomy), these histories (US History 1 & 2, American Government, world cultures), and a host of other random classes. Would you let me help him?

Checking in all is well. Mom and dad are going home today and Sierra gets her stitches out Friday.
Went to the pumpkin patch with Kira and her class on Monday. Of course she picked one that weighs as much as her little self. Got to get busy making costumes. A butterfly and a fairy. I want to be Batman, like the firm chest and tight stomach.
