12/16/06 10-day holiday cruise Part 4

Jen/Kat~I know it was already discussed...but I don't have time to go back and find it. This is so last minute of me , but how was it that you guys were able to sign up for SCUBA diving? Was it e-mail or calling them? I called the other day about horseback riding, and i mentioned SCUBA diving and if it was possible for her to get us in cause I had friends that had gotten in and she had no idea what I was talking about.

we cancelled diving - 2 spots for diving in St Thomas and St Marten last Sunday. Try again by calling castaway club. They are much better at fixing those things.

Just looked on the website and neither were available. Called the Castaway Club and she said they must have been booked already. Darn and those were the 2 Holly and I wanted.

I called the first couple of days after the 90 day mark and was able to get DH signed up for all three that he wanted, plus he is diving Key West with Jen and her family. You can always go to the excursion desk as soon as you board and see if there are any openings. Or just keep calling. Apparently they have cancellations right up to the last few days before we sail.

After our switch our room numbers became 2602 and 2604.

We are headed over for maximum access at KSC for the launch on Thursday. It should be fun.

Thanks Kat! It's weird that yall are tellin me to keep calling them...cause everytime I talk to someone they just tell me that excursions are booked online and do it through the Disney Cruise Line website.

I had to call the castaway club number to get things taken care of. Regular Disney number told me I couldn't cancel except online and online told be I had to cancel everyone and take my chances at getting my husband resigned up. They were able to add my kids to my excursions and keep DH diving over the phone.

I have also had an excursion glitch and maybe one of you has experience with this. We are a party of 6. We have three spots for the dolphin swim and we wanted all of 6 of us to go but only 3 of us to be in the water with the dolphin. Although I did not see that DCL provided this option, the tour operator's web site did, so I booked additional spots with them to just be "observers". But, I am not sure how I can be sure that the observers will be assigned to the same group as the swimmers...

See my problem? Maybe I can call Castaway Club? When I called Disney, the woman was puzzled that I could book with the tour operator directly. SHe said she never heard of that... She was no help.

For those of you who are doing the audience thing for the whoopsie-hoosie game, the challenge is up. The teams are planning a red carpet event. The audience can choose a virtual outfit and walk to red carpet. Here's the thread...

call castaway club #800-449-3380 and explain. They were very helpful to us.

Okay, I'm having a bad day...

no docs very sad...

package came via Fed ex but it has to be signed for or picked up 30 miles away in Issaquah. We are never home I think it's the pirate costumes my sister made for us. On a great note, my sister always goes over the top when she sews (by the way, she lives in Fredericksburg, VA, no where near WA).

I went to the dentist...a side note, I have always hated the dentist He had my new cap and in the on going saga of my broken tooth from Last August. It fit great and he tried it on and it wouldn't come off!!!! He used this gummy stuff to remove it and it only removed the porcelin. Not a good day. Now I have to go back next Wednesday to try again. This time in order to make it all come together before I cruise I have to take another day off (I am taking Friday off to fly to FL). At least it didn't break on the cruise.

On the good side had my teeth cleaned no cavities I never have any. I hate the dentist soooo much I brush all the time. Now that I'm over 40 my teeth just break. I do not like this - NO!

Did I mention - NO DOCS yet!!!

I just want to go to sleep and wake up and it be cruise time.

On a really cool note...my husband gave me an early christmas present. One of those little mini photo printers (okay to go with my luck... it was free when I bought him his camera and waterproof casing but a girl can dream cant she ???)

I will have the ability to update my pictures on my door daily from my digital camera. If anyone needs some copies or pictures I can do them ASAP!!!!

Sorry it's been so long. Work stuff (trying to squeeze all my clients in before I leave), kid stuff, Christmas stuff and cruise stuff. I think all of us are in for a break. Why is going on vacation so hard? Anyway, our docs arrived to our TA and they are on the way here. Our room number is 6100 (and 6102, but that is MIL room). I look forward to seeing you all.

I don't think they are going to give a theme...each team may pick their theme, but I don't think any of that will be revealed until after it is judged, and that won't be announced until after the red carpet show. So I think you have an open book! "

(If I read things right, I'm seeing the fashion show as the way to kill time between when the teams hand in projects and when they announce the winners.)

I think our docs might have come fed ex and not our pirate costumes. DH called and said he picked up a small package - I am not too small so I doubt my sister could pack 4 pirate costumes in a "small" package.

Can't do the document dance until I see them myself.
